It's the only vegetarian sandwich on the menu. It's topped with avocado, tomato, gouda, roasted red pepper, lettuce and maple balsamic mayo. I will go back for a sandwich instead next time. So I had the "Schrute" Salad $8.65, and I added grilled chicken to it for an additional $2.50. I made it a "lunchbox" for an additional $3.25, which gave me a snack, cookie dough and a can of pop. So my whole meal was $16.25. The "Schrute" Salad was baby arugula, pickled beets, raisins, candied pecans and goat cheese. The added chicken was sliced real chicken breast. I got a balsamic dressing on the side. The ingredients were fresh and the portion of chicken was good. I just felt that this was a salad I could have put together myself in my kitchen very easily. When I eat out, I like to have something that I can't make myself easily. The salad was good, but I didn't feel that it was anything special. I chose the Creamy Dill Potato Salad. I usually don't like potato salad, but given all the reviews raved about it, I tried it. I have to say, I did like it very much. I loved that it had bacon in it. Everything tastes better with bacon! There was also cheese. It was creamy, but not overly so and tasted garlicky and dilly, haha. The portion looks huge in my picture, but it is not that large. The container is a larger Solo container, so it's a little bit bigger than the container that my salad dressing was in. For my cookie dough, I chose the "Sharon, Lois and Graham" which was cookie dough with lime cream cheese, shredded coconut and graham cracker crumbs. It was pretty good. It tasted like raw cookie dough and key lime pie. The cookie dough comes in a standard Solo container (you know, the size container that you get soy sauce in when you get sushi takeout - well, when they don't give you packets of soy sauce that is. It's the same size container that my salad dressing came in). I really love the whole "school theme" of the place. The menu is called the "Course Syllabus." Menu items have names like "Substitute Teacher," "Class Clown" and "P.A. Day." On their webpage you can click on "Report Card" and provide feedback. I think this is all very fun and creative. Lunchbox is where Bun Republic used to be. It's a really small space. There are a few tables to sit at and eat, but it's mostly a takeout place. The place is super cute. There's free parking in the back. I feel this place is really cool. I was just not really wowed by my salad. I will try a sandwich next time (which seems to be the more popular choice anyway) and write an update then.

We first noticed that this restaurant opened back in December and have been wanting to try it…read moresince. We finally escaped the kids and visited during the snowstorm on Wednesday, March 12th around 5:30pm. We were warmly greeted by Luca and given a couple tables to choose from. The restaurant seats 40 comfortably and is nicely decorated in browns/caramels and wood. It's a little thing, but having coat hooks near each table is a definite plus in our climate! We received complimentary sparkling water (they have flat too) along with a very nice bruschetta & olives. Warm bread with butter and olive oil/balsamic vinegar followed. I had the calamari and my wife had the portobello mushroom appetizer and both were excellent. We followed with Vitello Involtini (veal stuffed with tiger shrimp and cheeses in a brandy sauce) and Pollo Portafoglio (chicken stuffed with prosciutto, cheese and sage) respectively and both were delicious - we didn't leave a speck on either plate! The house red wine (Farnese Sangiovese) was surprisingly good (although I'm not wine snob) and it paired well with the veal. We finished with home made Tiramisu and Zuccotto (layered cake). A great way to finish a superb meal. We are thrilled to have a great Italian restaurant in Orleans and will definitely be back.

Saturday just after opening, and we were the only customers. We always get the chicken plate. (I just pick at the salad and veggies and steal all the pickles, lol) Generous portions but hubby noted chicken was dry and not as good as juicy as the St. Laurent location. Could be because they just opened and he got the drier outer pieces on the spit. We couldn't find an area in the restaurant to dispose our garbage and leave our tray, but the staff told us to leave it on the table and they will get it. Lots of room inside the restaurant, tons of tables. Lots of parking outside.
