A different WNY dental office confirmed that the 2 mm gap should not be there. Corporate was asked to refund the $600 I had to pay out of pocket, but never did. 4 years later, I am still in pain as the tooth under the crown is rotting now thanks to the gap in the ill-fitted crown. To further elaborate, the entire staff at Elmwood Dental Group is incredible.. dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, and front desk staff-literally everyone there! Elmwood Dental Group make visiting the dentist an extremely pleasurable experience. More recently, my four year-old son fell face first onto a bench while visiting the Strong Museum of Play. With a quick call to Elmwood Dental, they had us in office in less than an hour. Their staff are so amazing with the little ones! Dr. Chris made his x-ray super painless, and as much fun as a four year-old can have getting an x-ray on a tender tooth. Dr. Comfort even gave out her cell number in case he had an issue over the weekend, while the office was closed. Additionally, I want to add that Kayla, the hygienist who worked on my two young boys, made it so fun for them, it seemed like a playdate. Same goes with the filling that Dr. Comfort performed on my older son. He was genuinely enjoying himself and having fun the whole time. I told her my insurance is Excellus Platinum select, and that i would like to make an appt to come in for cleaning. she kept asking me few questions back and forth who is your employer. I said we purchase insurance from Excellus. For some reason or misunderstanding, she tole me they won't accept my insurance, so i called Excellus and explained this. I also purchase separate dental plan from delta dental so i called the office again and spoke to Stephanie who said that I would pay out of pocket first then have delta dental reimburse me, which has never been true when i used it before. I really loved this practice because it is convenient for my kids but there are plenty of good dentists out there so we will find a good one for my family. I would not recommend this place for dentistry. It seems Stephanie makes decision who can come in this office. This place will lose business if she is still doing same mean and rude service and prejudice to others.
