Ben and his crew at Caspian are great! We had them install an electric fireplace. They were quick, quality, and friendly. We've worked with a variety of different contractors over the years, and it's usually the same deal - they're hard to reach, they do an okay job, and they leave a mess (or maybe even damage) behind. Not Caspian. They were great to communicate with, they did quality work, and they left our house in the same shape it was in when they arrived. Cut to a few months later when the fireplace was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced (no fault of Caspian). Ben and his crew came through again. Easy to work with, affordable, and a quality result. read more

We reached out to Ben to help us update the look of our traditional brick fireplace. We had an idea in mind and Ben was able to get creative to bring it to life! He even customized a hollow wood mantle to go over the existing brick to help us get the look we wanted. Throughout the entire time, Ben was very quick to respond, helpful, patient, and communicative. He would explain things in detail and went above and beyond to share some helpful tips with us, like how to best hide our wires for mounting the TV. The team did a wonderful job and I highly recommend Caspian Construction for any of your home projects! read more

We had our fireplace remodeled with Ben and we are extremely happy with the way it turned out. Apparently there aren't many companies that remodel fireplaces due to the stricter codes regarding fireplaces. Ben was very accommodating and was able to find the right people to complete the project with all the little details we requested. There was a small hiccup with the hearth but Ben was quick to resolve the issue and made sure we were happy. He reinforced behind the wall for the TV mount and even installed the mount for us. I appreciate companies that go above and beyond for their clients and Caspian is one of them. read more

I have very much enjoyed the work and results from a job done by Caspian Contracting at my home. My basement was in such a terrible state before Caspian came to my rescue. It was not an easy job and had many twists and turns, but this team handled everything without a problem. They renovated the bathroom, installing a new shower; created a laundry room from an empty space. A library was torn down and a very attractive and versatile home office was created. Caspian listened and delivered the best job. The old fireplace now looks brand new with the addition of new marble and a glass door. The stairs to the basement were transformed and now match the LVP that was installed. I can't say enough about Caspian Contracting. Everyone compliments me on what a beautifull basement I have. I know they are impressed with the amount of work that Caspian put into the job. The manager, Sean Smith, guided me through the whole process. I am also amazed at how much was done to my basement and the absolutely wonderful results. Thank you, Caspian! read more

My wife and I had been meaning to remodel our fireplace for several years and reached out to Caspian Construction after seeing all the positive reviews and photos of their work online. The owner Ben got back to me right away and scheduled a site visit. He was warm and knowledgable and worked up a quote for us a couple days later. We were considering many different options, including buying the materials ourselves so Ben broke down the quote into individual pieces, including if he provided the materials and if we provided them. While we tried to figure out what kind of tiles and mantels we wanted, as well as if we wanted ceramic gas logs or real wood, I had all kinds of questions for Ben and he always answered my emails quickly. When we finally locked in all the details the actual construction was a breeze. His people were polite and they made sure to put plastic on the floors to prevent dust and cement from getting everywhere. The end result, as you can see in the pictures, is a beautifully remodeled fireplace, hearth, mantel and ceramic gas logs that look real! I will add, and this is actually a good thing, when we finally turned on the gas fireplace, there was a gas leak. This was no fault of Caspian Construction, it was the fact that the valve hadn't been turned on since we moved into the house and it broke from age and lack of use. But knowing that gas leaks are no joke, Ben bent over backwards to get that leak fixed for us ASAP, texting me updates constantly. And he refused to cash my check until we were satisfied. This is the mark of a great and trustworthy contractor. I highly recommend Ben and Caspian Construction. read more

We bought our first home last year and the chimney inspection showed lots of issues. I reached out to Ben at Caspian Construction and he gave us a great quote to fix everything on the list: fixing the flue, adding a spark arrester cap on top of the flue and a damper, in addition to mortar and bricks that needed to be fixed. Ben's crew put plastic over everything in my living room and vacuumed the whole room when they were done - you could hardly tell they had been here at all! All the work was done in one day. The following day, we asked Ben if they could come back and demo the facade for us and haul it all away. They were done in 1 hour and again, cleaned the room well. Very happy with Caspian! read more

I did like that he was mindful of my budget and any delays where due to him taking the the time to look for more affordable materials. The prices for the overall job were clearly broken up which made it easier for me to look in to what I could do for myself. His final portion of my the design was spray painting the inside of the fireplace and installing the fire glass to my specifications and that came out great. This was my first project in my new home and I'm grateful for his patience. read more

I highly recommend using Ben and Caspian Construction! I had dreamed of adding an electric fireplace in my 70's condo. The job was seemingly out of reach for other contractors. Ben's reviews were all glowing, AND, he has experience with the build out and installation of today's electric fireplaces! He is a great communicator, shows up on time, and I felt the price was reasonable for the excellent result. Plus...he and his team clean up the site daily, a big plus when you are living in the home. He helped with the design process, secured the fireplace unit I wanted, built out the box and applied Venetian Plaster, and even installed my Samsung Frame TV above flawlessly. I'd definitely hire him again. read more

My old fireplace was an eyesore. It had dirty looking, burnt out bricks and the right and left sides were uneven in width - giving it a lopsided look, on top of being just plain old ugly and scruffy. Ben was very patient in answering my questions before undertaking the project, and his crew did a top notch job in refacing the fireplace and hearth. He created a back support to make the opening smaller so as to make it look even on both sides. I was pleasantly surprised by Ben's attention to detail when checking the work.
