This guy who was obstinate and very condescending kept telling me I was being charged for something else - I kept asking him what and he said he doesn't know. Unacceptable Negligence - Frost Bank Cost Us Money and Refuses Accountability…read more Our experience with Frost Bank has been nothing short of unacceptable and has permanently destroyed our trust in this institution. Frost Bank holds our HELOC for our pool. During a refinance of our primary mortgage, we required a standard subordination agreement from Frost Bank so we could proceed and roll our property taxes into the refinance. This is a routine request that competent lenders handle every day. Frost Bank, however, turned it into a drawn-out failure. Despite being notified well in advance and given clear deadlines, Frost Bank repeatedly delayed and stalled the subordination agreement with no urgency, no clear communication, and no accountability. Their internal inefficiency directly pushed our refinance past the property tax due date, something we explicitly warned them would happen if delays continued. As a direct result of Frost Bank's inaction: * We were prevented from rolling our property taxes into the refinance * We were forced past the tax deadline * We incurred interest and additional costs that were 100% avoidable * We experienced unnecessary stress and disruption during a major financial transaction This was not a paperwork issue, and it was not caused by us or our lender. We were proactive, responsive, and organized throughout the entire process. The delays were entirely on Frost Bank. At no point did anyone take ownership of the problem or act with the urgency required when a customer is facing financial penalties. Because of Frost Bank's negligence, we are now formally seeking reimbursement for the interest and costs incurred as a direct result of their delays. These expenses exist solely because Frost Bank failed to execute a basic subordination request in a reasonable timeframe. We are also in the process of moving our HELOC away from Frost Bank and will never use Frost Bank again for any financial product. We will also strongly discourage others from doing so. A bank that cannot competently handle a subordination agreement should not be trusted with major financial decisions. Frost Bank's lack of accountability, inefficiency, and disregard for the financial consequences imposed on their customers is unacceptable. We expect Frost Bank to take responsibility, reimburse the costs they caused, and seriously reevaluate how they treat customers during time-sensitive transactions.

I don't remember having this issue on a prior loan, but would not recommend them if they can't fulfill a simple personal loan which could have easily been paid off the next week.
