THEY ARE THE BEST!! after a frustrating couple of days being turned away at various "pawn shops", i…read moredecided to try one last place. im SO glad i did, i am a customer for life. i came in today with a small bin full of miscellaneous jewelry, nothing crazy fancy- and a lot of pieces that needed to be tested. the entire team was SO warm and friendly when they welcomed me in. but i have to say, sabrine was the star of the show. she told me how much she loved looking through collections like that and got to work. as she sorted through my items, i looked at all the beautiful (and very reasonably priced) items they had for sale, so many amazing treasures!! early on in my transaction, sabrine asked me about the gold colored pieces i had, and i told her that someone at a different pawn shop the other day said there was not any gold. sabrine offered to re test them, and told me she found a couple pieces of gold. THAT was a huge trust-earning moment for me, she could have easily pocketed them as copper/brass, but was very honest. she checked in with me throughout the process, but i was content browsing and chatting with the other employees/customers, everyone was truly so nice. when sabrine told me my offer, i was so, so, so happy i almost cried- it was amazing and SO fair. sabrine was SO thorough, yet efficient with the help of other team members. she sorted through hundreds of pieces of jewelry in about an hour, and i walked out with more cash than i anticipated. I went to 5 of the highest rated gold purchasers in San Francisco and Anton + Boris beat them all…read moreon price, speed, ease, and transparency by far! With gold and silver at an all time high I had jewelry that I was finally ready to part with. I've never sold precious metals and didn't want to get taken advantage of. It just so happened that Polyak was my first stop. Clearly tested and priced out all of my pieces of 22k, 14k, and sterling (stamped and unstamped). Anton was great. Wrote everything down and encouraged me to shop around. I went to a spot in the marina, then a touristy spot in north beach, followed by the Richmond. Polyak's was giving me a higher amount for everything. In addition many were not accepting silver (or only stamped silver). So after shopping around I went back to Polyak and Anton gave Boris the details and took care of me. I ended up getting lucky with gold mining up while I was shopping around, but next time I'll go straight to Polyak!
