The place was deserted - there was one couple here but they were waiting for their pizza. The dining room (see the pictures) has a TV on the east end. The tables and chairs were comfortable. They seem to get a lot of carry out business. We ordered an Aldo's Special Pizza, with spinach substituted for bacon. The pizza came out nice and piping hot after around 20 minutes. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The crust was a little dry, but it was okay. There was oregano present on the pizza. I swear all the pizza places in Rochelle that aren't chains except for this one think oregano is unavailable or something, but along with a little fennel, it really makes pizza better. Our drink glasses stayed filled - we stuck with soft drinks tonight, and water.

No problem. 20 minutes pass and still waiting. I go up to front counter and ask what's taking so long. Supposedly a party group came in and ordered a bunch of pizzas after my order. ( they take precedence I guess). 45 minutes later I get the order. Talked to Aldo and straightened things out with a 7 dollars off my order. That wasn't offered (was my suggestion for having to wait so long) with no apologies for the long wait. No communication was given by front staff that the order would take so long. I was upset at this point. Aldo must of been at the bar having a few by his demeanor. I get the pizzas home and open them. One pizza was thinner than a graham cracker. The pizza wasn't fully cooked so the hot melted cheese made the cracker crust soggy. Grossest pizza I ever had. I called up to talk to Aldo after a 10 minute wait on the phone. Front end needs proper training in customer service, attitude, and communication with its customers. Aldo said what can I do to make it right. I asked him what would you do if this happened to you? He said you don't want to go there. I suggested the pizza should be free at this point for such a horrible service. He ended up laughing and hung the phone up on me. I've been a customer of this establishment for over 25 years and this is how you treat a loyal customer? Beyond bad. Aldo, it's time to hang your boots up and give full ownership to your son and retire. 0- stars You lost a loyal customer.

After a few moments to look over the menu, we both order gyro sandwiches. Gyros are best served fresh off the skewer, so I was listening for the cutting - I didn't hear it, but I saw the skewer rotating. The gyros and fries were both fresh. The drink machine worked properly, and had some interesting brands to choose from. It's a Pepsi shop. The tzatziki sauce could have used more garlic, and more sauce on the gyro. It took me around 2 minutes of effort to get the ketchup dispenser primed. The place could use more lights, and a deep floor cleaning.

My wife enjoyed her eggs, hash browns and toast. The waitresses kept the coffee flowing for her. This is an older restaurant, with good comfort food. The usual restaurant "kitsch" is on the walls. There is a lot of air pressure between the outside doors and inner doors - it doesn't take "HULK" strength to get them open, but you have to try. All in all, a good breakfast.

That should have been our first clue... so we ordered, and waited, finally our food was ready. We sit down and start to eat, only to be told by the same guy, we have to leave, it is time to close. HUH? Barely 9:00pm! So here we are, 3 of us standing outside in the cold, and dark, eating $30.00 worth of some of the worst Taco Bell food I have ever had. Called the next day, and Leo said to mention him and he would comp us a meal. BS it never happened. Do yourself a favor. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! Rude cashier, gross food, not worth the time or effort. I'm surprised they still have a TB franchise.
