The website has been down for weeks now. I have over $20 worth of points to redeem, but cannot use. Very annoying..

Sandwiches were very good. The bread was okay but nothing like Portillo's or one of the regular Italian Beef sandwiches in Chicago. I've had their pizzas and salads which are very good.

People had come into work and started to prep for their shift when they were sent home and told that the business is closed. Instead of having a meeting and informing staff members, he decided to make a Facebook post telling everyone he'd be mailing their checks. Then a post was immediately made to the public and then turned off comments on their post and deleted all negative ones that made them look bad. Since it's strictly a financial decision that affected many people's livelihood, I'm asking that you reconsider giving this average tasting and over priced pizza restaurant your money. He struggled since Covid and couldn't financially recover so instead of communicating that with anyone in the Mendota location he closed without notice. In this economy he left countless families unable to know where their source of income was going to come from to be able to pay their bills. UNPROFESSIONAL. Again, since it's strictly financial, give your money to a pizza/pasta place that appreciates their staff and actually has quality food within the right price range, because this one isn't worth it.

Mike & Denise's is one of several restaurants the owners have around town it seems. For certain this location is the best known. The prices can be kind of high on some things, okay for others. A kind of haphazard setup once you get inside. It's got the entrance where you can choose two ways to go, whether it's eating inside or for pickup. The inside dining area is also kind of hard to get through. Has a patio. There's a good amount of seating. Most people seem to get beers. Pretty expected with these going great with pizzas. It's about $9 for one of their seasonal cocktails. We got a couple including the Lucky Charm. A classic. This is made with coconut, Malibu coconut rum, orange juice, and pineapple juice. It's about $12 to get a personal pizza with a few toppings of your choosing. We got the build your own option. A great option is giardiniera because it's like a few toppings in one to be honest. The pizza has a pretty crispy crust and is great for sharing. Crazy busy because it's one of the best known places in town to go. It's located on Veterans Parkway in the one plaza. They have half off pizzas on Tuesdays.

The other food options they have are tasty as well (try the Philly quesadilla, seriously). LOTS of beer to choose from, and creative cocktails that match the season or holiday. My favorite thing about it though is the atmosphere - it's always a party, but family friendly. The owners are great, they hire lots of local students and support local sports and organizations, and when the Bears pulled off that win over the Packers in the wild card, they were out of town but bought a round for the whole bar! Highly recommend giving this place a try, for a family dinner, a quick drink, a work gathering, anything - and try their other businesses, too! (The Vault and Bristol Tap).
