This, though, turned out to be a repeat of my initial experience. He once again rescheduled the night before for later in the day. I said that was fine. An hour after he was supposed to show up, I texted asking if he was still planning to come. He said he'd be here within the hour. And he never showed up. Very disappointing.

I was recently rear-ended resulting in the totaling of my car (an EV) and thrusting me into an…read moreurgent search for a new vehicle that could handle my daily 108-mile commute. Over the course of two weeks, I had reached out to multiple big dealers regarding a variety of vehicle options, but never finding quite the right fit that met my needs. By chance, I happened across a listing for a 2026 Nissan LEAF EV with only 100 miles on it listed at JRS. It was an option that I had previously been interested in, but the new prices for anything above a base model were more than I wanted to do. Ray, the owner of JRS, had managed to scoop this one up from the manufacturer's corporate fleet, nearly unused, and offered it at a very reasonable price. I reached out and received an immediate response from Ray who, over the next several days, worked with me in good faith as I negotiated insurance and GAP processing issues on my previous car with the bank (who was also issuing the new loan and was holding things up because of issues with their GAP company and a data breach). Ray never pressured for a deposit and was very understanding throughout the process. He repeatedly updated and resubmitted paperwork every time the bank asked for a new addition and never complained. In the end, we got to the weekend and he had done everything necessary to get the bank to issue the check on the new loan and had the car waxed and detailed, waiting for us when we arrived. Small, selective lot, mainly focused on commercial trucks and vans, but a great deal and a great experience from start to finish for us buying a nearly-new personal vehicle. Ray is about as OCD as I am when it comes to the condition of his vehicles, as evidenced by the care he took in trying to make sure the car was spotless when we picked it up. He was more concerned with it than we were. My wife and I did a quick test drive, completed the last of the paperwork and were on our way with our new ride in less than an hour. No games, no bait-and-switch, no additional junk fees tacked on (he actually reduced the price by a few hundred dollars for us). Everything went exactly as you'd want it to go when buying a car. JRS Auto Buyers was, surprisingly, a pleasure to do business with. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family, and would most certainly do business with them again in the future should the opportunity exist. Ray, thank you so much for your time and your assistance. We appreciate all of your efforts and your hospitality!

AVOID THIS PLACE!! Ignore the owners reviews!…read more I came here about six months ago for PPE, ceramic coating, and taillight tint. I should have written this soon as I've been told this location has issues. I had to make a couple trips as the PPE came off on the mirrors and they were out of taillight tint the first visit. After about a month the taillight tint peeled off because they applied it during a rain storm and it did not adhere. That was a waste of $150 and more as I ordered tint and did it myself. The worst part is once the weather cleared and I was able to detail the car myself. I noticed that the wheels and the lower trim had permanent swirl marks in dirt. Apparently they didn't clean the wheels or the lower areas before applying the ceramic coating.. Now it won't come off. I asked for a refund, but after responding with details I was ignored by the owner.

This place is a joke...it may not have been before given its rating but I'm thinking perhaps the Dad died and this kid who wasn't ready to take over ended up with the keys to this business. He is completely unreliable and incompetent but in his defense I truly believe he is completely unaware of these flaws. I agreed to meet with him on Friday to leave my truck with him but unfortunately he wasn't there and after I called him numerous times he finally answered and admitted that his alarm clock did not go off and that he would be there in 30 minutes... When he finally got there, we agreed that I would leave my truck with him on Friday and that I would pick it up on Saturday afternoon which would give him enough time to apply the ceramic coating on my vehicle. So the next day, despite me not being able to get a hold of him I decided to go ahead and take an Uber for the 45 min drive to get my truck back. Right before I arrived he finally responded and he unbelievably told me to stop calling so much! Really!? As the Uber dropped me off I was stunned to see that my truck had not moved from where I parked it the day before and that no work had been done! I ended up having to wait outside for over 45 minutes until he got back to give me my key fob. He then tried to say he texted me to let me know that he didn't have a certain towel that was needed for the process and that he needed me to leave my Jeep with him for another day or so haha. I don't have two vehicles, so unfortunately I couldn't do that not to mention that I spent over 100 bucks on Uber and lost hours of my time that I can get back. To his credit, he did offer to pay for the Uber charges IF I came back another day to get the ceramic done, but I told him that has proven to be so unreliable that I simply good good couldn't risk it. In short, despite their high ratings....stay away from this place because it's apparently being run by some kid who has no concept of ethics, time management, or any business sense whatsoever from what I can see.
