I did not have any need to go inside. This was a "park and take a nap" stop. The rest area has a Huck's for auto gas, a Pilot for trucks and a Godfather Express for both. The parking lot is level, it is lighted and I did not see a sign limiting how long you're allowed to stay. We were here about 90 minutes and no one bothered us before we pulled back onto the road to continue the journey. I've been to dozens, if not hundreds, of rest stops in my travels. It's spacious and well lit, and has just about everything you need from a service plaza. The entryways are clean and well maintained. It was a rainy day and staff was frequently checking the lobby and mopping up water that had been tracked in. I love the barn wood décor. It's homey and feels rustic and outdoorsy. There is no end to the stuff you can buy here. Sandwiches. Snacks. Soft drinks (both bottle/can and fountain). Donuts. Fresh sandwiches. Rotisserie chicken. Dippin' Dots!®. There's also non-food related stuff like Baseball caps. Apparel. Basic car/truck supplies. A lot more stuff than I would normally imagine. All of the racks and shelves and displays are well-spaced so you don't feel crowded. The only staff member we interacted with was a cashier and she pretty unenthusiastic about the whole ordeal (we about a donut, some beef jerky, and two bottles of water) and I got the impression she'd rather be somewhere else. They have your name brand Vera Bradley, Alex & Ani, Kate spade, yeti's as well as smaller etsy-like items in a decently sized store. They have cute women's clothing & jewelry in one room, displays for wedding registries, stuff for little ones, household items in a lake cabin theme in the back room, local Kentucky apparel/jewelry/food/alcohol. I'm not even a fan of Kentucky but I'd sport some of the jewelry. Seriously, best gas/convenience/gift shop ever! Stop through if you're on a road trip & in need of gas/a new wardrobe/last minute gifts/shopping trip.
