On a recent trip from Louisville to Paducah we decided to make a stop a this service plaza for a break. Service Plazas that are built between both directions of the expressway make so much more sense than having a rest area on each side...but that's not what this is about. This Hucks is huge! It's spacious and well lit, and has just about everything you need from a service plaza. The entryways are clean and well maintained. It was a rainy day and staff was frequently checking the lobby and mopping up water that had been tracked in. I love the barn wood décor. It's homey and feels rustic and outdoorsy. There is no end to the stuff you can buy here. Sandwiches. Snacks. Soft drinks (both bottle/can and fountain). Donuts. Fresh sandwiches. Rotisserie chicken. Dippin' Dots!®. There's also non-food related stuff like Baseball caps. Apparel. Basic car/truck supplies. A lot more stuff than I would normally imagine. All of the racks and shelves and displays are well-spaced so you don't feel crowded. The only staff member we interacted with was a cashier and she pretty unenthusiastic about the whole ordeal (we about a donut, some beef jerky, and two bottles of water) and I got the impression she'd rather be somewhere else. We stopped here on our way to Elizabeth town,Ky. It's a very convenient stop since it's right off the parkway. We stopped to use the bathroom and got something to eat. We got some egg rolls and danishes. We ate outside on the picnic tables. It was hard to get to the tables since there wasn't a sidewalk. We had to walk across gravel. There's some sort of construction going on. The store did have a restaurant inside. The prices were high for a convenience store food. The quality was ok. Taste ok. I did notice they had tesla chargers beside the gas pumps. read more

This location is under construction, but remained open for business. The restrooms are spotless and large and you don't have to open a door to enter. The store has about every drink and snack you could want as well as some food offerings. Located in the middle of the Western Kentucky Parkway, it is an easy off and on again. If you're in this area of Kentucky, especially later at night, you'll want to stop. Set up as a "triangle" between the east and west portions of the Pennyrile Parkway, it's easy on/east off, and you won't have many opportunities for gas, restrooms, or snacks for a while. They have the typical greasy fare: pizza, hotdogs, dried out burgers. Lots of sodas, drinks, and weirdly a beer cave. Candy, chips. I am extremely picky when it comes to gas stations. This is one I am never disappointed by. Not only is the kitchen staff more than willing to make you something fresh, but the cashier that handled my needs went above and beyond. The name tag on him was Lucas. That gentleman was extremely nice and even drew out a conversation. If you are ever driving in the area, be sure to stop here. This truck stop is very ridiculous. The location is Hucks 675 Western Kentucky PKWY, Beaver Dam, KY 42320 This is one of the worst hucks I have ever been too. The restrooms are filthy with hand soap from the store that they are not changing. Somebody is putting water in the bottle to keep the soap going which is very unprofessional this is not someone's home. Also it's Labor Day weekend and we are waiting for a load and the woman tells us that the showers would'nt be open til Tuesday. I am a truckers wife and that is unacceptable. Nobody is doing their job in there and it's so many people in out. This area needs to do better. Definitely rated 0 out 5 stars. I was with a church group that was on our way to Florence, Ky. We needed a break and our drivers stopped at this Huck's. We have several Huck's in and around our hometown of Paducah that are all 5 stars. I was very disappointed in the restroom. My husband wanted to get some tater wedges but felt the pricing was high. Since we are closer to the highway I think it's reasonable to expect the higher pricing. The store is full of other delicious items and the staff was very nice. read more

This gas station is in the most convenient spot I've ever seen for cars or trucks. If your traveling on Western Kentucky Pkwy. this stop will have it all. Very easy to access...... It sits between the 2 Pkwys. Pull in off the Pkwy and your there, pull out and your back on the Pkwy. It's literally that easy. Seperate side for cars and trucks to keep the flow going. Busy little place inside but we were in and out fast. Clean, organized and well lit made the experience pleasurable. read more

We were traveling home and had been in the vehicle for several hours, so everyone needed a "Pit Stop." This exit is listed as a Rest Area, and it is a left exit. When we entered the area, we realized it was actually a convenient store. It had been closed in the past, and I'm not sure when it re-opened, but it had to have been within the last year. The store is very unique inside with tall ceilings and colorful walls. There are televisions and ICEE machines and Godfather's Pizza, along with a grill for ordering. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. They stated that they really enjoyed working there, which says alot about a business. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. read more

I stay at this location when I haul to Owensboro. They are under renovation, so maybe why the food isn't any good. I didn't order, but it was obvious that most of it was dried out. I mean, they didn't even stir the mashed potatoes, to keep them from looking like they were sitting for hours. Conveniently located gas station on the Western Kentucky Parkway. This place sits in the middle of both sides of the east and west bound lanes. Easy access off and back on your route. The place is clean but on this visit the ladies room needed a bit of attention. I alerted the attendant and he said he would take care of it. The station is stocked with typical snacks for the weary traveler as well as maps and souvenirs. Basically your typical truck stop. The convenience is what really makes this place for me. read more

Men's bathroom is grimy and sticky. It is very neglected and a petri dish for bacteria. No use washing your hands in there since you are contaminated immediately when you touch the sink handle. Yikes! read more

Excellent rest area. Items are not overpriced and wonder staff. Grabbing food is fast. I got their 5 tenders and wedges for $5 deal, and it was a steal. The tenders and wedges are HUGE. Great stop from your trip. read more

Mens restroom is reminiscent of a 1960s gas station. Sad the State allows them to operate on State property, regardless of rent.

Friendly people and good service. No long line and no waiting. Employees very helpful and nice.

One of the best places to stop for all your needs while traveling through. I personally love their donuts and the mango tea!
