I ordered the 2 piece basket for my first visit. The Cole slaw was not minced but slightly chunky with a delicious, creamy dressing. The beans were well-seasoned, with a slightly thick (not watery) juice. The fries were fresh cut, skin-on, thin fries that bent instead of broke when folded - my favorite!. They were even tastier dipped in my leftover bean juice. My two catfish filets were perfectly cooked, meaty and moist. Service was top notch! The restaurant was clean. We have been here numerous times when in the area and it's always been great! Tonight was very disappointing! We ordered the same thing they brought my husband's starters but not mine. By the time they came around for us to mention it ...my husband was done and they brought our food soon after( right after bring me my starters) the food was cold and the service was poor. read more

Decided to give this place a try while in town visiting our favorite Lake Murray! First off let me just say I don't mind old dumpy buildings, the food is what matters, but I do mind dirty tables and grungy seats etc! This place needs a good old washing! The catfish is very good & was nice and hot! The hushpuppies were the WORST I've ever had! The cabbage was good. The beans were good. The fries were just blah, limp fries. Nothing special. The star of the whole meal was the green tomato relish. If you like sweet pickles & tomatoes you'll love this! After our meal we were talking to one of the owners and he was full of information & spilling the beans..... They don't make their green tomato relish, they don't make their slaw, the cabbage is from a can, etc etc. He said they do bread their fish there and make their beans. Stoppped in here while traveling through, has great reviews and we love catfish, if cooked right. Restaurant is roomy, old west decor and clean. The coleslaw and beans come out first, however it took forever for our food, the waitress had to come ask us again, guess our order was misplaced, ugh, others were getting their food but not us. I'm sure it was a honest mistake but still doesn't sit well when time is of essence. Once our food arrived, it was hot, fresh, fries were homemade and yummy, the fish fillets were really good, fresh white catfish. I would order it again. read more

We were visiting through Ardmore and found this charming spot. We were not disappointed. Friendly service ( Sarah was awesome). We ordered the 2pc catfish and shrimp. It came with beans (OMG!...excellent flavor Grandpa knows what he's doing) coleslaw and a relish tray. The green tomato relish is EVERYTHING!!! They sell it by the pint...and certainly took some. The fish is fresh and fried just right. The food cooked fresh and they took good safety precautions with COVID and I appreciate that in making their guest comfortable! Truck stops and homeless shelters are WAYYYY cleaner!!!! The catfish was just ok The hush puppies were the best I w ever had!! They were out of almost everything; waitress said it was because their truck didn't come. I would have went and bought stuff for my restaurant to run properly instead of making excuses. We've eaten Casey's Catfish many times. Whether you eat in or take out, their fish has always tasted wonderful. I have never had a problem with tough fish from them. I prefer my fries to be crispier than they make them, so we ask for them that way. It's one of our favorite places to eat. read more

Have eaten here many times and come back because it's one of the most consistent places for catfish / hush puppies in the area. Fish is always hot, batter is light and pieces are good sized. Hush puppies are crispy and flavorful, done just right. Beans are good - not great, lacking depth that you'd get making them at home. Slaw is good and they always load you up with home made fries. Saturday afternoon about 5. Ordered the catfish with onion rings. the catfish was a really really good the beans were really really good the hush puppies were excellent! The 2nd party ordered chicken fried steak dinner. The mashed potatoes were homemade and good but the chicken fry was definitely lacking. The service was good, the tea was good. Came here for lunch on Friday. The 3 piece catfish lunch was great. Handcut french fries and beans was hot and fresh. Nice large pieces of fish that was golden and crisp. Food is decent but nothing to write home about. Customer service was AWFUL I do not recommend anyone go to this establishment go to Catfish Corner instead way better fish way better customer service. Story time Had a dispute of the pricing on our bill. Normally the server would look over the bill and determine whether or not all of the prices were correct. THIS SERVER HOWEVER, did not. After inquiring about the wrong price she got irate with me continued to tell me that the bill was correct even though it was not. I continued to press her on the issue and she started yelling at me (with my children behind me). I asked to speak to her supervisor and she told me that she was the supervisor on duty. I couldn't believe it. At this point everyone in the restaurant is staring at us and i went ahead and paid the bill for the incorrect amount so that I could just get the hell out of there. Overall, a terrible experience. If you like being yelled at by your server then this is the place for you. If not I would recommend a different establishment. read more

This place was recommended by a local. We were very disappointed in the catfish & hush puppies. Absolutely no taste at all. The fish were so bland that I had to use lots of tarter sauce to eat it.
