We go there very regularly. Love their tacos. These guys got it figured out! Friendly, quick and amazing flavors. All are great...my favorite is the shrimp taco! Kids love their quesadillas and the wife and I enjoy their Tacos. Whenever we hear of a place good taco place, we check it out. This is our favorite. Nice trip up to Sauble Beach. The bus is cool. Prices are high here, but it's the height of tourist season so make that money when you can. Had the three taco meal. Pretty good stuff. I recommend they get some more picnic tables around the bus. Overall a good place to eat. Food was good. read more

Yumm! This would be a place that I would go again! I had the crispy shrimp burrito for lunch the other day and it was wonderful! I thought that there was a good portion of shrimp in it. The food was warm and made when you ordered it. The issue that I had was that they didn't take credit. They only took cash and debit except for debit it could only be done on tap. I had to attempt to use 2 debit cards but it was still denied even though I tried to use it 3 times on each card. Ended up having to borrow $50 from a friend to be able to buy the food. It also wasn't just my card because a few people ahead of me struggled to use their debit card as well. Would I go back? I would only go back if I had the cash on me. The struggle of debit that day was too hard and I wouldn't want to go through that again. read more

Last year (2013) I tried to try their tacos on my way out of town, and they were closed. Their hours aren't typical restaurant hours, but more food truck hours. As I came into town in 2014, I went to see if they were open and to see if I could finally check out their offerings and they were! They had just opened at 12:00pm with a limited menu (3 types of tacos and drinks). The three tacos they had available was a good mix. One meat option (pork), one fish, and one veggie (sweet potato). I decided to try all 3 for 14.50. My girlfriend got the 2 tacos and a drink combo for 12.75. Out of the three tacos, the fish was the standout for me. The best part of all three was the care and taste put into the toppings. I thought the sweet potato taco was a cool idea, and I had never had a taco with a sweet potato wedge in it. (only sweet potato in burritos before for me). The downfall of the meal though was the pork was super dry. Definitely my least favourite, and the reason I am giving them a four star and not a five star. Hot sauces are on the side, and I definitely recommend using them. In a place like Sauble Beach where food choices are usually limited to burgers, fries, and pizza, this taco bus is a welcome addition! It may not be the cheapest meal in town, and their hours may be weird, but parents bringing their kids to the beach looking for something else to eat beside the typical fast food fair will like this place. And honestly, fish tacos is what this beach has been lacking for years! Keep up the good work. read more

Ummm, was ok. I guess if you compare it to the Mexican eateries in California, this one does not do very great food. Portions are small, prices are in the mid range. Flavour was lacking, and I definitely expected more from their house habanero sauce - was tame! read more

Had the beef brisket, fish, and fried cauliflower tacos. All were excellent. Great atmosphere and fast service. Beef brisket was the best. Not as good as the best authentic tacos I've ever had, but definitely worth visiting over all the crappy burger and fry joints that populate the strip in Sauble. read more

Good quality food although a little on the pricy side. Fresh ingredients and cooked fresh. Nice change of pace. The beef brisket burrito was tasty and very filling. My wife enjoyed her double decker chicken taco. My only complaints would be that they are only open Thursday to Sunday from lunch until 7:00. Wow. Get there early so you get the best selection but these tacos will take your breath away. Cauliflower blew our minds. Fish was incredible. Made with fresh ingredients. Once they run out, they're out until the next day's freshness! Sit on a picnic table and grab a lime Jarrito to polish them off. Staff make great selections and are culinary wizards. Meh. Love the whole concept, the name, the double decker bus and the environment. But... this operation needs to put a little more love into the job. There is a distinct lack of flavour and nuance. It's all just kinda... boring. The one reason tacos became such a culinary sensation this decade and last it's that it's incredibly easy to make them incredibly delicious: shell. Protein. Vegetable. Sauce. Simple and beautiful. The chicken, fish and pulled pork tacos here are just standard issue. Throw in some marinated red onions or cabbage. Some pickled garlic. Something crisp. In the meantime, I won't bother making the journey. Not worth it. read more

This has to be the best burrito I have ever had. The balance of all the ingredients was superb and there was plenty of beef brisket through the whole thing. Wonderful atmosphere, music and service. My sister had the quesadilla and was pleased with the cheese and meat on the inside of a crispy shell. My mother had a fish taco and loved that it was local fish made into an authentic tasting taco. After a fair amount of experience/attempts, I can safely say that I found this bus extremely disappointing as a fan of Mexican food. The service is poor, the price is about 3x what it should be, the time needed to make the food is absolutely exorbitant to say the least, and the menu is also very limited. To top it all off, the food is very unsatisfactory. I understand that they've tried to create some indie-boutique type of taco here (which makes very little sense, given the location) but I find it very difficult to eat or enjoy them. My personal theory is that underneath the bus they have constructed a massive chamber, equipped with 20 highly trained Mexican wrestlers. They bring the tacos down there to be beaten into the ground extensively for some time, explaining the price and time required. The tacos being pounded into the dirt also explains why it tastes like it. In short, I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Best tacos I've tried in years, and I've tried tacos across the country. Can cost more than some places, but the quality cannot be beat. Thus far, have only tried the fish and shrimp tacos, and they're fantastic. Definitely going back to try the others. read more
