    Spice Bag
    Becca H.

Love Casements!! It is our favorite bar in the mission to hangout and grab a drink (usually a Guinness). They have a indoor vibey bar and a fun backyard patio. It is always good vibes here. The spice bag is the tastiest of bar foods. I recommend getting the chicken added to it for some protein. It comes with a curry dipping sauce, which completes it. Service is always amazing - the staff is consistent and super friendly. The best!!

I threw my partner a birthday party here and the staff went out of their way to make everything easy and fun. They were incredibly busy because of an event in the Mission and yet still checked in on our party and provided whatever we needed. In addition to their huge awesome patio, they have good food (not just good for a bar) and really good cocktails. They have free live music on the weekends. Always a good time. Highly recommended. I've never had a bad time here. Try the Spice Bag, so good!

My favorite spot in the city for Guinness. Idk what they put in it but it's easily the freshest and tastiest I've had in SF. Just wanted to let you guys know nothing else really... gr8 service as well

This Pub has probably one of the best ones I've been to yet. Service was amazing! Staff is very polite and really nice to talk to! The ambiance was really nice, lots of neon signage in the back patio, lots of open space in back. The music isn't too loud and you can enjoy your convos while jamming out. Food was really good! The Guinness was definitely my favorite. It's been a while since I've had it on tap. The spice bag was delicious and full of flavor! The chips were crunchy outside and soft inside, the curry sauce was perfect, not even spicy. Very mild. The French onion soup was really flavorful and fulfilling! It had 3 slices of a baguette inside with the sautéed onions in broth and the cheese. Definitely will be back here again!

The best part of coming here is their back patio. It's beautiful and pretty big. Their food is pub food. Not a very extensive menu, but good. I recommend their chicken wings (with the sauce on the side). Drinks are crafted and super tasty. Overall, a very chill ambience for a Happy Hour sort of afternoon.

Celebrated my friend's birthday here and she was smart to book us into their private outdoor cabana for the night (at least until their patio closed at midnight and we retreated inside). We loved our experience hanging out inside the cabana. Our server was attentive in getting our drink orders, and there is a great selection of spirits, beer, and wine to choose from for the night. The included seating as well sa table board games like Jenga really allowed us to feel comfortable and enjoy the celebrations. There are two single-stall gender inclusive bathrooms inside which is a win, but the long lines at night are never a fun time.

The place is cute, art, disco ball, craft cocktails and has a back outdoor chill area but you aren't allowed to smoke or vape there. The back closes at 11 while the main area is open later. We tried a couple random drinks, one was a slushy with a shot of champagne which was very tasty but we didn't realize it had Irish moonshine in it the other drink we tried was peas for Beas which was also pretty good and presented nicely with tiny peas on it.

I rather like this atmospheric place but have to admit my ignorance of its identity as a modern take on an Irish pub. I've been here a couple of times fully unaware since I'm not really the gin and whiskey type. I also came late in the afternoon so I must have missed the dinner menu entirely. Appetizing options like Fish & Chips and Beef & Guinness Stew might lure me yet. In the meantime, I've enjoyed their craft cocktails. On my virginal visit, I was entranced by the mixology skills of the enthusiastic bartender Mo. Upon her recommendation, I first tried the $14 Puck Fair, an unlikely mix of tarragon, mandarin, lemon, and Irish whiskey that was surprisingly mellow with a bit of sour (photo). I followed this with a discounted $5 Frozen Paloma (regularly $12). It was a tropical delight dominated by tequila bianco and cappelletti. Also added were salted grapefruit cordial, and citrus (photo: https://yelp.to/L-TM8u_BHL). I had not been back for several months but returned today when I noticed mention of slushies on their sandwich board. I ordered the $12 Frose, a frozen rose slushie with a blood orange aperitif, rose wine, citrus, and a touch of rose water (photo: https://yelp.to/d1wn0gulpj). A nice summertime treat. Hmm, now how would this go with beef stew? COCKTAILS - 4 stars...thoughtful creations that go down well AMBIANCE - 4 stars...cool interior, never overly crowded SERVICE - 4.5 stars...the bartenders here go the extra yard TOTAL - 4 stars...need to try the pub grub, have a Guinness and face up to the malarkey in the world RELATED - Exploring the Mission? Pea's for Bee's

We decided to head over to Casements for a quick drink after chilling in Mission Dolores Park. While we were intrigued by what seemed like a cool ambiance and the allure of the back patio, we were nonplussed by the service as we walked in. While there was a couple drinking at the bar and a server running food out to the patio, neither the server nor the bartender greeted us as we stood waiting, even after the bartender looked up and saw us, and continued to chat with the couple at the bar. Having worked in food service, I understand when staff are busy, but it was off putting to not even be greeted and we were about to leave before we were finally greeted. I got the Pea's for Bee's cocktail while my partner got the Belfast Coffee. The back patio was definitely the star of the show, which had a really cool vibe and would be a great place to drink a beer and hang out. The drinks were not bad but did not particularly stand out. That said, I would definitely come back here on a hot day to get a beer and hang out on the back patio.

I came here for a friends birthday. The drinks were super yummy. Not sure what I ordered but it was refreshing with passion fruit. The bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable. I asked for something they would recommend and they did not disappoint. The overall vibe was cool and chill I loved the décor. The outside patio was perfect for a birthday gathering. Tons of space and fresh air. The inside was dark but very fun and trendy. I look forward to coming again.

The beer selection is great, with a nice variety of styles to choose from. The space itself really adds to the experience. There's a relaxed energy that makes it a great place to meet friends, take a break while exploring the neighborhood, or just enjoy a good beer in a comfortable setting. Dogs welcome, which is nice too. I made a friend.

Dear Cody, "To love…read moreis to dream. Too often, to dream is to hurt." It's one of the many jaded expressions in Football that we all eventually experience. When we experience it, and only when we finally do, do we truly appreciate the painful wisdom embedded within those words. It's only your first World Cup, Cody, and you are already feeling the heartache. You spent much of the tournament at Kezar Pub, which you endearingly refer to as "the pub". Daddy lived his first World Cup with Goo-Ma in a more humble fashion -- through an antenna-enabled 18-inch television. You, in privileged contrast, were surrounded by probably more than 18 wide screen TVs and the best sound system in the business. Brilliant equipment aside, Kezar's atmosphere is inimitable. There is something special that spurs Daddy to share beers and jello-shots with new friends. That pub is a beacon for good times. I have many photos of you in your WC shirt sampling pub favorites with uncles and aunties. Bangers and Mash was a hit. Maybe a bit lukewarm on the Shepherd's Pie (Daddy loves it though). The Fish & Chippies though? Cody ate enough of the English staple to justify the face paint. I do NOT have videos of you receiving trinkets and high fives from the best owner and best pub staff in the world. I certainly do not have a video of Daddy screaming profanities whenever a certain scumbag referee gets on screen. Oh hey Cody, bullying players and referees is never okay, but also sometimes absolutely necessary (another wise Football adage). I do not have a video of you screaming We All Like Vindaloo after a goal. No videos of you sitting in the community benches doing Sprite-cheers with Portuguese / German / Swedish / Dutch / Mexican / Norwegian friends we shared seats with. Nothing of you flexing the Arsenal shirt you have underneath for whenever one of our boys scores (Kai Havertz scores again!!). I wish I did, but Daddy does not have a video of us pointing to the red number 10 shirt bellowing "Na-Na-Na-nananana! Nananana!" What we do have are memories that'll morph into stuff of legends. Legends we share with each other for a lifetime. Yes, we'll have the pain, too. Daddy's first dream was shattered by a red card in '98. Although, you know Cody, I don't actually remember the red card too well. Daddy's most visceral memory of that tournament was the wonder I felt as I kept asking Goo-Ma if Michael Owen is the fastest guy in the world. I still feel that kid-like wonder again whenever that moment floods my memory. Thats why Daddy thinks it's our good moments that stays with us. Cody, we had so many of them. The heart-stopping penalties we watched on the couch. The Jolibee-fueled game nights on Fridays. Those incredible, incredible times at Kezar Pub. Maybe years later, your most vivid memory of your first World Cup won't be of the gutting loss, just like Daddy's isn't of the '98 red card. Maybe years later, the moment you'll feel again is that Saturday against Norway. That feeling of triumph and jubilation and fearlessness  and that surreal feeling of singing Hey Jude with ALL of Kezar. Football hurts. And maybe it'll hurt again for many more tournaments, many more years. But you also know all the love that comes with football. Love that comes on the badge on your shirt, love that comes with going to Kezar Pub, and of course so much love in singing your favorite songs. After so many years of following the tournament, maybe Daddy can give you his own wise football expression: Don't let the possibility of hurt ever stop you from singing, Cody. "60 yearssss of hurttt, never stopped me dreammming"  Love always, Daddy

The place gets loud when a big game is on, but that is exactly what you want from an Irish sports bar. We were there for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, World Cup soccer, and UFC 250 all in the mix, and the place was packed with great energy throughout. The Guinness pour was excellent, clean lines, great head, perfectly poured. As a busy sports bar things will not always be spotless when it is packed, but the team did a great job keeping the bathrooms clean despite the volume on such a busy day. We spoke with the owner directly and he made sure we had a TV tuned to the hockey game, a genuinely nice guy who made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back.

Several FIFA games and a baseball game were on the screens so there were folks in there watching the games, but anticipating a specific match since the room was relatively quiet and conversations were still at regular volume. We ordered Irish Stew, Shepherd's Pie, and a couple of pints of Smithwick's. Our server remarked it was the full Irish!
