Instead, they reviewed photos and immediately denied responsibility, even suggesting the damage happened elsewhere--despite the fact that I have a membership at their location. This is not a professional way to handle a claim. After reviewing the images, a reasonable next step would have been to invite me to their office to examine the damage directly, but that did not happen. I provided screenshots from a video clearly showing scratches, yet they continue to deny responsibility without offering any in-person assessment. They are relying on video footage taken from far away, on a wet surface, which barely shows the scratches. Anyone with basic understanding would know that wet surfaces and distance obscure fine details like brush or scratch marks--these are only visible up close. I requested an address to bring my car in and show the damage in person, but they have not provided that either. At this point, the issue is not only the damage to my vehicle, but also how dismissively and irresponsibly my claim has been handled.

You can pay with cash or a credit card. Once you pay, the gate opens and you enter the road that takes you to the wash building. You get signaled to move forward onto the track, place you vehicle in neutral and then let the car wash do it's thing. The interior looks like a disco tech with all the blinking colored lights as you make your way through nozzles, spinning brushes and finish with an auto dryer. All-in-all it was a good experience and a much faster one then driving up to the wash building, pay the attendant and potentially holding up the line while you pay with a cash or card.

He then got Shawn and another gentleman that also came out. Turns out the pressure in 3 of my tires was incredibly high leaving me vulnerable to blow-outs. I was about to get on the freeway to drive over an hour. The one tire that I thought was "a little low" was actually an additional hazard and VERY low. The 3 of them were so kind to me and helped me get this situation fixed. Winter in Maine raises havoc with the finish on your car, not to mention the exposed elements on the underside. If it snows, or there's a chance there might be ice, local public works trucks appear and dump copious amounts of chemicals on the road surface that melt the ice, but worse, destroy your vehicle. As someone who take meticulous care of my car, I hate this time of year, but what are you going to do if you have to leave the house? Well, I've become a fan of the car wash here at Circle K. What I especially like about this one, compared to some of the self-service car washes I used to frequent, is Circle K has a dedicated employee running the operation. He'll take your money (or card), direct you into the bay. Then, he takes a power wash hose and thoroughly blasts the grime and road film off the sides, rocker panels and immediate undersides of your car prior to starting you down the conveyor through the wash. Since I was a kid, I've loved the car wash tunnel and it's mysterious qualities. I'm still enamored of the experience. Imagine driving out the other end and having your car sparkling and clean again? At Circle K that happens every time. Now that I'm a regular here and enjoy chatting up the staff, I swear they give me a little bit of extra service (tipping doesn't hurt, either). Perhaps I'm imagining it. All I know is that my car after a pretty grimy experience on Tuesday is looking all shiny and new again, sitting in the garage.
