Went here today to have a major procedure done for my grand daughter. I wish her mother could have been present for her but you see when her mom was 15 she had her wisdom teeth pulled and was given pain meds. She has been an opiate addict for the last 15 years. That was the last time she saw the dentist. It was the last time our family was whole. So now we ask lots of questions and generally will never trust any one who claims to hold a medical license again. It's my reality. Seems this offended the anesthesiologist at this office. He stated opiates should be less controlled and if we can't trust him he can't treat my daughter. I was too angry to think. I left. I should have taken my family with me and far away from this evil human being. Be very wary when bringing your kids to this office. read more

My children have been coming here for about 9yrs now. We love Dr. Nicholas Raklios, he's always very professional, patient and kind, also pretty funny. He always makes the kids feel comfortable. They have a location in Kent/Covington area and in Maple Valley. Both places are always clean and kept up. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, even when I'm running a bit late. They always make an effort to accommodate my children's needs. I would definitely recommend them, we've never had any insurance nor dental issues. We are going to miss Dr. Nicholas Raklios when my children are no longer children and have to move to an adult dental office. read more

We just completed my son's cavity filling. The appointment took more than 2hours with Laughing gas. The doctor had multiple patients at the same time so they did half of their work in first 30mins and left the kid with nitrous oxide on for next 1yr attending another patient before returning to us. Second issue that we faced is that we had to reschedule more than 3 times as my son was sick the day before the appointment (every time) and we called to reschedule, it was unfortunate that this year my son was sick more times. When we requested for six month appointment scheduled post our procedure, they mentioned we cannot schedule in advance as we had to reschedule our earlier appointments 3 times and we need to call them back when the 6months due time is and then take an appointment for the same week. They wont schedule a 6month appointment in advance for us citing we rescheduled our earlier appointment 3 times. We have decided to take our kids to another dentistry as both in terms of customer experience and the slowness in their treatment means it may not be worth to go with this provider any more. read more

We went today, and the nurse was not even smiling, they changed all the nurses, not happy at all, and not patient. This was supposed one of the recommended dentistry last time, but after the treatment from the nurse, we decided to move to the other. read more

We are so happy with the care we have gotten at this office! Dr. Nick is great with kids, especially when they are scared or anxious. They were very patient and understanding of my daughter's anxiety and helped her through the appointment. read more

My son aged 7 had a sealant appointment. The first attempt he panicked and we decided to reschedule with laughing gas. Two weeks later we tried again and even with laughing gas the large mouth piece made him panic. The dental assistant was simply an angel with him. She was so patient and kind, answered all his questions and never increased his stress and worry. She consulted the dentist who came in and they both decided to give him a different sealant... one that didn't require this large mouth piece. They continued to finish the work while my son was nonstop talking and being silly on gas then panicking here and there. They kept at it and truly modified care for my son's needs. I was so impressed and thankful. What a wonderful, low stress business for kids. Thank you CKD. read more

This is an amazing place for kids... Friendly staff and excellent dental care. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This place should be avoided. The office staff are rude, obnoxious, and condescending (Carolina and Melissa). They called (the wrong person and number) an hour before our appointment to cancel, because one of their assistants called out sick. This was the person who cleans the teeth. Pretty sure the dentist knows how to do this. Had I called to cancel an hour before, I'd have still been charged. The attitude from the office manager, Melissa, was "oh well, too bad". My daughter had to miss an AP class at Tahoma HS that is a heavy workload, and went to extreme lengths to be sure she did not miss her work in order to miss this class for her dentist apointment. The complete disregard for people this place had was disrespectful. You commited to a time, find a way to honor it. This wasn't the first time we were made to feel insignificant by the office staff here. This was the final straw, we will find a dentist office that opporates with professionlism and integrity. We just moved to Maple Valley six months ago and switched the kids over to Cascadia. We were sad to leave our old dentist but happy we found another awesome place. They found my son already had an issue with his tooth and recommended removing it before it became a hot tooth. I was so thankful because the last place we were at he had already had a hot tooth on the other side and didn't want to experience that again. read more

We love this place. The ladies are awesome and the dr is too. Would completely recommend this kids dentist and I'm not really a mom to go the "kid" route when I comes to dentistry, haircuts... Our little guy had to be referred here for a pretty good sized cavity and they made him comfortable before & during his procedure. For this situation I am now an endorser of kid centered dentistry. Dr. Nick and his staff are AMAZING! I can't even put into words how wonderful they are with both my kids. We started taking our kids here back in 2017 when my daughter just turned 2 and then my son in 2019 when he was a year old! They always remember little things about my kids (favorite places, shows, food) and it makes my kids feel so so special. When we had a dental emergency for my daughter they got things done for me outside of business hours and got her in right away to fix her problem. They are so calm with my kids and my kids honestly love going to the dentist, they even sing a song about seeing Dr. Nick and his staff, which is a big deal because I remember hating the dentist as a kid and never wanted to go. I will refer everyone and anyone to Cascadia Kids Dentistry in Maple Valley EVERY SINGLE TIME! Love this place, the staff and environment! Our little girl has been going to this location since she was 1 with the previous Dr. that's already retired. It used to be called Dentistry for kids...? I knew that my little girl needed treatment. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first because Dr. Nick looked really young! Younger than me, probably. I'm sure he thinks I looked young too, lol. Well, Meli had her treatment on Tuesday. Dr. Bean, the anesteciologist was very caring and he explained the whole process on what to expect while putting her out. He'd even called and left a message to follow up and checked up on Meli's well being. Dr. Nick finished her treatment within an hr. Meli loves her new 4 front pearly white teeth. She's smiling and laughing with more confidence. I liked how Dr. Nick didn't judged me for her poor teeth. To all the new parents: don't let your child nurse at night whilst asleep! My only complaint was issue with their billing and our poor insurance plan. We were first quoted $1,600 could be a little more or a little less. We paid for her treatment after she was finished around $1,700 something and left. The receptionist called us and we turned around bc she said she wanted to double checked that she didn't make a mistake with the invoice. My husband went back in and she said it looks good. We got home and received another call saying the bill was incorrect bc of the insurance coverage max was $2,000 and our total out of pocket ended up being over $3,100 something. *sigh* very expensive lesson learned. read more

I don't trust just anyone with my children's teeth, but really trust Dr.Nick. Great experience, friendly staff.
