Usually I send my car into Continental car services and get them to sort everything out for me and boy do I pay the price! Here my boyfriend purchased some new brake hoses and bushings for his car and the prices were very competitive in comparison. The good thing about BNT is that they have a lot of locations all around Auckland so if the store you go into doesn't stock the particular item you are looking for they will usually be able to order it in and quickly too. The bushings arrived in under a week and they called when they had arrived which I thought was good service. The people here are very friendly and knowledgable when it comes to the parts they supply.

As a woman with no idea about cars, I sometimes feel I'm being spoken down to or taken advantage of at other places, but I've always had really lovely service from Pigeon Mountain. I have an old classic car as well as a Hilux and a new Corolla and when I moved to the area a few years ago I was recommended I go to Ward for my vehicle servicing and repair. Ward does my servicing, mechanical work and WOF's on all my cars and he is such a genuine honest mechanic. He has been in the business for donkeys' years, so he really knows his stuff, and nothing is a problem. He is hands down the most honest, thorough, and trustworthy mechanic I've ever been to, and I know my cars are in safe hands with Ward. His no BS thorough job saves me time and money in the long run, and I can trust everything he says. Having Ward in the same suburb I live in is awesome but even if he was 50Kms away I'd make the journey because I know he will respect and look after my pride and joy and treat it as if he owns it - this alone is a massive weight off my mind when I drop the keys off. The job is always done to an exacting standard, within budget and specified timings. If there ever is anything else required (and there always is on a classic car) Ward calls me before he starts the work with options as well as updated costs and timings. I cannot recommend Glen Eden Auto Services strongly enough, especially if you have a classic car or in fact any car which you want to take somewhere that is honest, will not rip you off and gives you peace of mind with a no-nonsense quality job. The art of good old fashioned customer service is not lost on Ward either, Ward and his receptionist are some of the friendliest and most accommodating people I have had the pleasure to deal with from any industry, not just automotive. 5 stars all the way and highly recommended!

This mechanic offers excellent service, usually completing your WOF and/or service in just a few hours and they even leave you little chocolate bars in your car afterwards - talk about the complete package! Scott and Sharn are the two main mechanics at St Luke's and though they may not be the smiley-est of people, they are both really friendly, extremely thorough and full of good advice. I'd take helpful mechanics over a smile any day!
