The crew were punctual and respectful. They communicated well with us and answered all our questions. I highly recommend this business.

After returning from a two week trip to see relatives, they learned their cat had used this carpeted closet as a personal litter box resulting in a horrible odor that permeated their home. Despite a busy schedule, Amaya's was able to remove all carpeting and instruct these novice homeowners on how to use KILZ primer to paint some unfinished wood before returning to install the beautiful LVP tiles. Odor is now gone and their closet looks better than when brand new--all done quickly and for a very fair price. Thank you to Luis Amaya and his crew! This family owned business does outstanding work and keeps customer satisfaction as their highest priority. In 2021 Amaya's Flooring removed all floor surfaces on both levels of our house and installed oak wood flooring throughout. We have been very happy with the beautiful wood floors that Amaya's Flooring installed for us. We had just purchased a house and wanted all carpeting and existing wood floors removed so that there would be a great flow between rooms on both levels. The end result is just what we were hoping to achieve! Luis was truly wonderful to work with on every aspect of this job--always prompt, responsive, friendly, and courteous along with sending a terrific crew to do the work. Their retail store personnel were great as well. What really amazed us was that Luis beat all deadlines and got this job done in a very limited time before we had to vacate our temporary rental. We highly recommend Amaya's Flooring without any reservation!

We went to Andy's 5 Star Flooring in Bothell due to a recommendation from a friend after a failed…read moreattempt for a quote with one of the big box stores. Our job was replacing flooring on the top floor of a split level that included removing tile in the entry and kitchen. We knew our flooring under the carpet was subpar from the carpet install 24 years prior and we expressed this to the salesman from Andy's several times. He assured us they could fix it. The measure, product choices and quote all went smoothly and we had an install date set for 1 month out in October. We started moving furniture downstairs in preparation. The day before the product delivery the sales rep from Andy's told us that it had not arrived. We were given a new install date in November but when the date arrived, same story. Now our install date was early December. The Sales Rep from Andy's apologized and added free furniture move due to the delays so we left our 4 pieces of leather furniture upstairs. Again, no product and install was set for Monday after Christmas. The initial install attempts had been scheduled for a 4 day install but this one was only for 3 and during a holiday week. On day of install, crew didn't show up until after 10am and left about 5pm. The install crew was short one person and had forgotten the tool to remove tile. Someone delivered it several hours later. Removing the tile created tons of dust. None of our furniture, countertops or appliances were covered. The installer complained constantly about our floor level and that he didn't have enough time to do a good job although the crew were very seldom here for a full 8 hours. The 3rd day they left at 4pm as it was New Year's Eve. They had to come back New Year's Day to complete the install. Bottom line we are happy with the final product result. We don't know if the problems of material delivery were in fact the product company or Andy's incompetence. We will place the problems with install on Andy's as they did not give the installers adequate time to do a good job. Especially during a holiday week. We were left with a HUGE mess to clean up with tile dust thick on our furniture, walls, appliances, kitchen, etc. Our free furniture moving for compensation was not performed. We also had to have the installer come back later to clean up glue that was smeared on the new flooring. Although the Andy's rep was communicative and easy to reach, I would not recommend Andy's.

I hired Keith and team to remodel my master bath shower because of a water leak. Overall, I had…read moremixed feelings about my experience. Everything went well until I felt like he tried to gaslight me into believing a piece of trim they removed near the shower was bigger than it was and they weren't going to texture the area that they had mudded. It turned out to be a miscommunication between him and his drywall contractor, but the conversation didn't leave a good taste in my mouth because even with proof in pictures, he argued with me quite a bit that the area they had mudded looked like that because the trim they removed covered the whole area and they weren't going to fix it. (Attached photos for illustration) I'm happy with the tile work even though there are some imperfections with the shower fixture installs, but those can be overlooked. The caulking was terrible and didn't look like it was done by a professional. When I inspected it the first time, I let it go because I thought it wouldn't be a big deal to remove it and re-caulk it myself when we eventually had to. However, after I showered in it for the first time, it leaked because they didn't fully caulk parts of the shower door. We re-caulked the areas that they missed, but I'm probably either going to have to hire another professional to remove the existing caulk and re-caulk it eventually or have to deal with it myself after paying so much money for the remodel. We also discovered a deep gash on the shower pan after thoroughly inspecting it. While they did come back to remedy this, it felt like it took some convincing that this wasn't a factory defect before agreeing to come back and resolve it. We found out when they came back that a piece of tile was indeed dropped in that area and caused the gash. Lesson learned, don't pay unless you're really satisfied with the outcome. This review is 3 stars because they were nice enough to help me fill in a couple sections of grout that flaked away in a different part of the house that was unrelated to this project. Addition in response to owner's reply: I may be a bit confused about the trim. I assumed that if something originally part of the demo was removed, it would be replaced to match the previous look. I didn't realize I needed to specify this, but it's a lesson learned for the future. As for the shower fixtures, I distinctly remember a verbal acknowledgement that even if we bought a new shower fixture, that you wouldn't charge us anything additional to install it. I was charged for the extra parts of this additional install and happily paid that. I unfortunately did not notice that the shower fixtures were installed a bit crooked until after showering in it, but as mentioned, they are things I can live with. Nonetheless, thank you taking care of the install. In regards to the caulking, perhaps you may have misremembered that during inspection, you asked us if we had touched the caulking and we told you we did not, so your response mentioning that we touched anything during inspection is incorrect. To clarify for future readers, the photos of the caulking I uploaded with my review show the original finished work, before we made any touch-ups to address the leaking issues. As mentioned before, it was absolutely my fault for not calling out the poor job before signing off on it, but it's a lesson learned moving forward. Indeed, the remediation and renovation work of the drywall and carpet were done well, so no complaints there. Addition in response to owner's new reply: It's becoming increasingly difficult to follow your story on the caulking since it's not true. Again, I want to reiterate that during the inspection, we did not touch the caulking, and it's disappointing to see that rather than acknowledging the poor caulking job by your team, there are explanations being created to justify it. At this point, I won't be updating this review further, as it seems to be turning into more of a "he said, she said" situation. Best of luck.
