Dr. Gandhok is an excellent cardiologist. He found a hidden 80% blocked artery in the back of my heart. It was a miracle. I did not have chest pains, but I felt like I pulled a muscle under my left shoulder blade. He is very good at diagnosis, and I think he prescribes the right medications. Sheer incompetence. I went in for a particular type of scan, and somehow, even though they admitted that only the name of this scan was on all the paperwork, they put me down for an echo. No mention at all of an echo anywhere; do they not pay attention to the paperwork at all? Of course, their scan person wasn't in, and they couldn't schedule me for it until weeks out, after when I'll be out of town for a while. Zero attempt to squeeze me in due to their error. I would chalk this up to a one-off, but then I remembered that this has happened before! That time I came in and they had no record at all of my appointment on their books. Proper scheduling is the most basic of things for a doctors' office, when people are taking time out of their day to come in. If you value your time, go elsewhere. read more

My mom and I have spent the last three weeks trying to schedule tests her doctor, Dr. Patel, told her she needs...and no one ever answers the phone. She's also tried for over a year to get access to the patient portal with no success, which means I can't schedule online either. At multiple appointments, the doctor or his 'assistant' couldn't locate her test results, making the visits pointless. There was even a time they sent a reminder for an appointment, but when we arrived, they had no record of it. No apology. Nothing. Because of the ongoing disorganization and lack of caring in their office, my mom still doesn't have clear information about her heart condition. It's been a frustrating and discouraging experience for both of us. read more

Dr. Gandok is a caring physician who investigated my symptoms thoroughly and gives me clear directions about how to keep tabs on the effectiveness of the prescription he gave me. The entire staff is extremely good and they all give lots of clear information when performing tests, etc. The office is very good about responding to phone calls. Parking is convenient and the reception area has lots of signage to point you in the right direction. read more

Until this week I have been very pleased with Dr. Patel and Cascade Cardiology. However, I find it extremely frustrating now. I have been calling the office several times daily to make an appt, all week. I have concerns that need to be addressed. Their phone tree tells me to "press 2 to schedule an appt". When I do that, it always says "that mailbox is full". No options. When I have left msgs at the receptionist (another recoded msg) I do as requested and leave all my info. Am always told someone will return my call. That has never happened. Very disappointed. read more

At the end of the visit, the doctor said that if I had any questions to call his practice. Later, when I called with a question for the doctor, it was difficult to leave a message for the doctor, let alone get an answer. The receptionist did what she could to connect me with someone who could help. Initially, those other staff members sounded like they wanted to help, but there was little follow-up. I considered actually going to the office to get the info I needed. I get the feeling that there's a very hierarchical system operating at Cascade Cardiology. But if the doctors are going to install gatekeepers and delegate other tasks, they've got to give those staff the power to act. read more

Long, but worth the read. Beware... you may like your cardiologist but you will hardly EVER see that provider, and the office doesn't know what they're doing. The few staff, like the office manager, tried to work together but with KYLIE running around canceling appointments and generally being arrogant and dismissive, it's not enough. Received a pacemaker in 2018, with no issues. In August 2023 the bottom lead started registering out of range. First attempt to schedule surgery was made in Feb 2024, but it was canceled BY THE OFFICE/KYLIE. (Surgery in June) In May, surgery was again canceled by KYLIE She did call to offer me surgery during my 2 week vacation and i told her i would be gone from June 21at to July 6th. So she schedules July 8th for surgery. When i pointed out that i would not be able to do the bloodwork in time, she gets mad and asked me if I'm gong to try to change my vacation dates or flights. It was HER fault for not thinking about the bloodwork before she scheduled surgery for the Monday i returned from vacation. That is, again, on HER. I scheduled an appt with Dr Patel for a leaky valve that my pain management found. Found out TODAY that KYLIE canceled that appointment as well. KYLIE claims that she called me numerous times... she never left a message. Today i looked at my call logs and found Zero calls coming from Cascade Cardiology. Then she says she didn't leave s message because she couldn't. I find that VERY SUSPECT since my friends and family were able to leave messages. KYLIE is the only calls i supposedly missed... right Bottom line... all of the cancelations and supposed phone calls have been mostly with KYLIE. "She's the only one who knows how to schedule these lead removals". No wonder she's arrogant, rude and dishonest ... she has job security if she's the only one scheduling these. I already talked with the office manager about KYLIE and she tried to smooth things over. KYLIE ruined that today when I found out SHE CANCELED my leaky valve appt next week. I have been very patient with this office. I have explained numerous times that i am in dire need of an MRI. I have undergone all the diagnostic tests possible but i need an MRI. I am losing feeling and function in my left side. That is the main reason im pushing this. Last i heard, 3 weeks ago, the office manager was going to talk to the doctor to see if he could approve the MRI or refer me to OHSU. In the interim, KYLIE canceled the leaky valve appointment for next week and has not been actively trying to schedule surgery because 'i needed to come in and talk to Dr Patel about it". KYLIE is nothing more than a glorified paper pusher. She is not trained or educated to have ANY CLUE about a leaky valve. In fact, when i MADE the appointment, it was with her. I told her my pain doctor/ internist ordered an echo cardiogram but i wanted to keep my cardiologist in the loop since i have one. She said that ,"yes, an echo should be done by your cadiologist". I said i would ask him next week when i come in since my pain doctor heard a leaky valve last month. That's how I found out KYLE canceled it... After i finally hang up, sometime else from the office calls me saying i asked to be seen today and can see someone else this afternoon. I NEVER asked to be seen today. This is beyond ridiculous. I would try to stick it out but not with KYLIE running around canceling appointments and being such a difficult, arrogant ineffective staff member. I suggest they teach someone else how to schedule lead removals. The office told me that "this isn't urgent".. maybe/ obviously not for them, but it is for me... it's MY HEART! KYLIE needs to either lose her job or LEARN it. read more

The care received from Dr. Patel and his staff is world class. The back up nursing staff are kind and considerate and don't come off as annoyed or in a hurry. The only down side is it is unusual for an appointment to start on time. Once taken back to a room you can wait quite a while. But Patel and his staff make it worth while. read more

Dr. Gandhok. Very first appointment waited 50 minutes before he talked to me. I find out after the visit he wants to run test but no one to asked questions about the test. Plus how is he going to learn anything about me in 10 minutes? 2nd visit sat in waiting room 25 minutes and another 27 minutes in little room to see him so he could explain heart monitor results to me. While waiting I could hear him talking to his co-workers about his weekend. I was so pissed off, I ended up storming out. Why pay for an hour visit when you see him 7 minutes. read more

A well-staffed clinic. I've spent many anxious hours here and have yet to meet a staff person who was not civil and empathetic. They have blankets, drinks and snacks for those procedures where you're in the clinic for hours. My cardiologist has an old-school bedside manner, and is willing to listen to keep prescription costs down. For heavy-duty cardiac issues needing diagnostics or surgery, I feel confident in this clinic's praxis. For hypertension alone I would not seek out this clinic. In titrating my medications there have been miscommunications twice now, and for this I have knocked off two stars. Usually I can get a same-day telephone response to my concerns. The offices are at the Meridian building. Parking can be tight. For first-time patients, I do recommend reconnoitering the neighborhood for parking options. There is a small lot accessed off Commercial on the NE corner of the building, with slots dedicated to Cascade Cardiology. A larger lot accessed off Mission, SW of the building, takes all comers but I have often found it filled. Sometimes, if you're in a rush, just pony up for the metered parking on the north side of Mission, next to the building. read more

Simply trying to get a prescription filled for my almost 90 year old mom. Called 6 days ago for her blood pressure medication. She needed an appointment for a refill and I told them with Covid, they do not want tenants leaving the retirement facility and I would be happy to bring her in when things settle down. Was told they would send in the order. They didn't. Five days later called in the morning. Said they had sent it in, but they would send it in again. Called six hours later saying the pharmacy did NOT get the order. No one answered the phone, so left a message. Message said they would call me when they could or the next day. Called in an hour later to see if someone would answer the phone. They answered! They said they would call it in AGAIN. A new day....no prescription. Just called in this morning and they tell me she MUST have an appointment first. The first three I talked to did not say this. So now she is going to have a phone appointment 12 days from now so she can get a new prescription. They will give a prescription for pills to get us through, though. I asked person number 4 why the first three people I talked to didn't give me this information. I asked why person number 2 told me their records showed they had sent it in six days ago. I am shocked by the inefficiency of the system they have in place. Between the five calls to them and 9 calls to check with the pharmacy to see if it has been filled, it's been a very frustrating and time consuming experience. At this point, I think I need a prescription for blood pressure medication!!!!!!!!! read more

Dr. Chagarlamudi is awesome. I have struggled with high blood pressure since I've been 20 years old. He found the right medicines that worked for my resistant high blood pressure. He has also helped my wife, who had cardiac arrest and was assigned to him at the hospital. He is very personable, knowledgeable and explains things in an understandable way. Five Stars! read more

I had a great experience here. I had an 830 apt and was seen at about 840, they immediately had an assistant come start running some tests and asked a bunch of questions about my symptoms and what brought me in. Then before I saw the doc, a medical student who was working there came in and talked to me. His name was Cliff and he was awesome. Super in depth and thorough. He gave me a ton of information about what he thought it might be, what the doctor might suggest, and gave me a real peace of mind that they were looking at every possibility. Then Doctor Azadpour came in and basically everything Cliff said was spot on. All in all they spent about an hour and a half with me, and I was only alone for maybe 15 min of it. I felt very taken care of and left feeling confident that everything was going to be ok. Cliff was great! The doctor was great! 10/10 highly recommend. read more

Was referred the to establish care in this area. My first impression was that it was a decent place. Then I was checking in and the young lady had quite the snotty look on her face had an attitude to match. Trust me smiling and friendliness goes a long way. As I was sitting and waiting I started smelling urine.. and was slightly gagging. I asked the unhappy clerk to use the bathroom and she pointed to the door next to her desk. I walked in and about knocked over, there was pee all over the floor.. I immediately told the girl about the problem, she just looked at me said thank you and continue what she was doing. I waited for 45 minutes for my appointment and the whole time not one person went into the bathroom to clean it up.. eww!!! the Doctor seemed ok, no issues really with them ..yet. read more

The worst doctors office I have ever dealt with. I was seen 11/16/2017 and as of today 11/29/2017 I still can not get them to send in a simple note to work stating that due to my heart condition I need time off until my surgery. On top of that they have repeatedly failed to send paperwork like prescriptions, test orders, and other vital information. DO NOT GO HERE if at all possible. They are quickly responsive to my phone calls and I willingly drive about an hour to see them for my follow up visits. These providers are part of a team that saved my life. What more can I say. I recently had a bad experience with this practice. I saw 2 different doctors in 6 months. The last doctor Dr. Carr prescribed a medication that I had a reaction to. I called their office and said that I had a possible allergic reaction. They didn't call me back. I had severe edema in the legs, hot face and increased blood pressure. I called again in the afternoon and the doctor just said to cut the medication in half and come in next week. That evening I was worse and almost took myself to the hospital. I will never go back to this practice. I think of all of the seniors who would have listened and possibly died in the mean time. read more

I have no complaints about the doctors. However, the staff is another matter altogether. When you go in with a request the receptionist says "I can take care of that", but when it doesn't happen you are told in the SWEETEST, SYRUPY, CONDECENDING voice that is not in her duties and obviously you were stupid not to know that. When they bill your secondary insurance first (more than once); you are told after THREE correcting phone calls that obviously you did not give them the correct information. When a prescription is refilled with the wrong dosage; obviously your pharmacy made the mistake. When you drive to Silverton for an appointment and you are not on the schedule; well you know even tho it's in your appointment book you must have just imagined it. When you are emailed the wrong form there is no apology because they don't make mistakes. I have found there are good doctors elsewhere and WAY BETTER STAFF..... Cascade Cardiology Administration totally sucks and they induce a lot of stress!! I guess that gets them more patients.... RUN read more
