Then Sequoia guided me to the treatment room, I was offered a choice of tea and essential oil, I chose eucalyptus! Love eucalyptus, he let me know he's getting a diffuser soon, but for now he incorporated the essential oil into the treatment. After I sat down, he took my pulse and asked a few questions to clarify my responses on the intake form. And inquired any areas of concern I had, I said 'hormonal acne, left side of my neck is tight and right erector muscle' Then he left the room, I undressed to my level of comfort (I'm a massage therapist, so I'm super comfortable in this setting), placed my jewelry in the bowl provided and got on the massage table, under the flat sheet. During the treatment I was gently mesmerized by the music and felt a release in my left levator scapulae ( back neck muscle) as he needled it. He addressed my other concerns too and responded with a thorough answer when I asked what a certain point was for, or when I asked for the music to be a bit quieter he happily obliged. By the end I was drifting in parasympathetic mode aka 'rest and digest'. Very calm and peaceful place for your nervous system to switch into to heal and realign itself. Within one week I reached out to her stating I did not see any improvement and her response was to give it 6 weeks. I have had other treatments in the past on my legs and was familiar with the healing time and expected results so I was concerned. At that time, I rescheduled a follow up appointment. She spent approximately 45 minutes going over my legs a second time with a different laser and on my way out of the clinic instructed me I owed her an additional $600. I stated how uncomfortable I was paying for a second service when the first service had not provided me any results. She accused me of not wanting to pay because I simply could not afford it. I am a reasonable person and very fair. However, this felt unprofessional, especially when she reminded me I signed several documents prior to my first treatment agreeing to her terms and prices. Proper scheduling is the most basic of things for a doctors' office, when people are taking time out of their day to come in. If you value your time, go elsewhere.
