You can tell a lot about a business by the way they address their mistakes. Lilac Wellness and Counseling offers a wide variety of services. I went in for cupping, acupuncture and a massage. I was cramming a lot into a session, so the services were understandably abbreviated. With that said though, the room was comfortable, the music was soothing, and Xun was did a fantastic job. Other patients rave about their health improvements in the clinic waiting room. They have another clinic in Portland open Friday afternoon and Saturdays. I called, and they said it would probably be six months before I could get in. I said no problem. They called back the next day with a cancellation, and I was able to get in on that Friday. I met with Benson, a very nice and caring person, and explained how the procedure would go. I went once a week for six weeks. Then I had to travel, so I was away also; I had used up what insurance would cover. He made some good suggestions which I implemented, but probably the best thing I did was the week-long vacation that I stayed off it. It still bothers me from time to time, but I have ways of making it work. The place they have their services in is a one-hundred-year-old building, which is charming but has uneven floors if that is a concern of yours. Also, I tried to never use the restroom facilities there, as the sink was lined with dirt and the toilet wasn't much better. They have a lot of people still masking (which is fine; I totally understand that), but they apparently aren't concerned with the dirt you can see. One oddity I observed was that the needles were put in my hand, but as I was lying on the table, Benson would use my stomach as a place to hold his supplies until he needed them. Do you know how awkward it is to have someone grab things off of your stomach to use in a procedure? I probably should have said something, but I thought it was a one-off until it happened again. So, the procedures themselves were good but probably need to fine-tune a few things.

After the session I had immediate results and after 6 sessions I no longer had the problem. I then went to see her because my daughter brought home coxsackie virus from pre-school. My daughter and husband both went to a conventional doctor and the anti-viral did almost nothing to remedy the situation. It still took two weeks to run its course and resolve. When I broke out in it, I went to Echo. Echo hooked me up with some Chinese herbs and a mineral mouth rinse and my problem was gone in two days. The third time I went to see Echo, I was having fertility issues. I am not saying she cure my problems, but after two years of "trying" and being told by the OB that we needed IVF and hormone therapy, we conceived after six months of Chinese herbs and reducing coffee intake. We don't know what did it, but Echo's advice did not hurt the situation and may be responsible for our ability to conceive.

Not only did Bryce manage to do what no doctor had been able to do- get the muscle spasms in my back/neck to stop, and do it without any medications- he got my migraines down to once a month or less from multiple times per week. Which is awesome. But he also did something that I haven't experienced at a medical appointment in years if not decades- he managed to create a space where I wasn't anxious.
