You could easily dismiss Burrito Brothers as a poser Mexican restaurant, like it has no chance of being authentic and legit. But please don't. For all my frustrations over so-called burritos and tacos and quesadillas in the Taco Bells of the world, I couldn't bring myself to be a negatron over Burrito Brothers' offerings. I faced it with an open heart, HAHA, and it did NOT disappoint. I was thoroughly surprised that they served REAL food with real ingredients and sauces. They had the full set-- "super" or regular burritos with (allow me to recount this) lean and tender grilled steak or chicken, mexican rice, refried beans, cilantro, tomatoes, bell peppers and onions, cheese, sour cream, jalapenos and a mild salsa all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla... There's their bestselling "SuperTaco," which is already the priciest on the menu at P149 (what)... and then the perfectly fried crispy Chimichanga... Mmmm. Just really happy there's a decent quality Mexican spot nearby that's super cheap but is the real deal. Nowhere near Mexicali/Silantro level, but much better than your Taco Bell.

First of all, they have poor lighting, which isn't conducive to food photography. I know this may be like nitpicking, but in this day and age, people often take pictures/videos of their food first before eating. Second, call it bad luck or poor timing, but in the two times that we've tried SKOW and then El Fili (and in different years at that), our primary and secondary orders were not available. That is always a frustrating experience, no matter what restaurant one is in. Third, in my opinion, the food isn't sulit, especially the price-serving ratio, and more importantly, the taste is just blah. The final blow would be how un-appealing they look. Thankfully however, they do have good pastas.

I love tres amigos which is a platter of 3 tacos: chicken, pork, and beef. They also make a mean fish taco, which is not to be missed! The meats, whichever you choose, are all well cooked and well seasoned. Of course, with all authentic Mexican experiences, the most important thing is the sauces. The green sauce (spicy) should be added to everything, in my opinion. When with a big group, order a plate of the nachos, you won't regret it.
