Sometimes, there's too much rice and it ends up being rice and wrap and not much else. And the rice isn't even all that good either, depending on where you go. Or it has too much tomato which doesn't really do much for my sensitive stomach. Thankfully, Mexican Express does it right. They actually have a good proportion of everything: meat, rice, cheese, lettuce and salsa. That's a rarity. A good rarity. It's cooked right in front of you so you should be ready to wait for your order. It'll be worth it though, I promise. I've gone there to order burritos for lunch and once I get home, they're still as good and as warm as if I had them right there and then. The super burrito is BIG. Big and the filling reaches from end to end. The place itself is pretty small though so I really wouldn't recommend it for a party of larger than two. If you want to scratch that mexican food itch and have a group of buddies with you, don't be afraid to get something to go and head off somewhere bigger.

Good thing Mexican Express was still open, so we gave it a try. PROS: The staff were kind enough to let me purchase the add-ons only with without even purchasing an actual meal. For a couple of cheese sauces, a serving of jalapenos, and sour cream, I think I spent just a little over a hundred pesos; When we munched our nachos and dipped it in the sauces, they're actually quite good. It's authentic sour cream and jalapenos, and they all mix well. CONS: Their cheese sauce looked runny and blobby inside the fondue pot. But I should not have judged a book by its cover, or cheese sauce by its consistency. It actually tastes pretty decent - tangy and creamy. TL;DR: I look forward to actually eating Mexican Express' actual food mainly because of the good experience we had with their add-ons.

I've been looking for some good Mexican food and drinks in the manila area like how i'm used to in…read moreCalifornia and now I found the place. All the places I've tried around manila looks like Mexican food, but it doesn't taste anything like how Mexican food is supposed to. Finally found a place that is the best I've tried in the Philippines so far. I normally drink vodka but i tried the frozen margaritas since i was at a mexican place, i wanted to try a mexican drink haha plus have an unlimited margarita special for P295 for the rocks margaritas & P395 for the unlimited frozen ones. I had both the lime and strawberry frozen margaritas and they were both good. I liked the lime one better, my date liked the strawberry one better. I changed up the flavors every other drink since it was unlimited anyway. I like how they make the frozen margaritas overflowing almost like a volcano. We shared the mozzarella sticks and buffalo chicken bites for appetizers. the Mozzarella sticks were actually crispy mozzarella sticks not like other restaurants i tried that use a lumpia wrapper and put cheese in it and call it mozzarella sticks haha. Buffalo bites were were sweet with a little bit of kick. They were small bite sized pieces of chicken breast with their Buffalo sauce glazed on it. Not really Mexican food but the girl i was with wanted those for appetizers so we got them. We also shared the carne Asada steak super nachos/super fries. I asked them make the super nachos with half super fries so we got to eat both. So damn good I am always going to get that every time i come here. I have not found any decent nachos in manila area or even super fries. The other places ive tried uses ground beef and that liquid cheese. That ish ain't nachos. I can't stand that haha. This place uses real slices of steak and grated cheese. There's also a special sauce they put on top that I can't really describe but it tastes pretty good. Me and my friend ate every last piece of it. There was nothing left on the plate haha In california me and my friends always get the super nachos and super fries after a night of going out drinking so I've really been missing it and searching for a place to satisfy that craving here. We tried their turon dessert here with ice cream on top. I've never had turon with ice cream. It was a good twist and went well together. The only problem is the ice cream melts so fast so you gotta eat it quickly. Overall was a nice place to chill and have drinks while eating. We sat in the front bar area. We really felt like we were hanging out at the beach. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different to try with a cool atmosphere. Great place to take a date. We even took pics together wearing their Mexican sombreros. The pics came out really cute. A great memory for us to keep and remember our date. They also have a big room in the back where there was a group celebrating a bday while we were there. They sounded like they were having a blast from all the nonstop laughing we heard.

I'm not really familiar with Mexican food but for some reason, by the looks of it, I had a feeling that I might enjoy this one. The Chalupa, their main product, looked a lot like a taco but bold prints on one of their signage clearly emphasized that it's not. I ordered their Beef Chalupa which contained beef (duh), veggies, cheese and other good stuff. You can even choose to put their special homemade hot sauce especially formulated to competent the soft pita-like chalupa. So if you're a fan of tacos and nachos with all the meat and special, you should definitely give this one a shot. You won't regret it. I didn't. Note: Say Chipotle (chi-pot-lei)

I first saw a stall of theirs at SM Hypermart (but I think that closed down), we wanted something different from our usual merienda (fresh lumpia, potato corner, pizza ollo, etc) beside the nearby stalls. I was so happy to have found it at the megamall food court, they also carry the iced tea brand All My Tea and it goes so well with their cheesy beef chipotle, for chicken lovers, you can opt to have chicken chipotle instead, both taste super good anyway). What amazes me too is that the customers get to see how they prepare the dough, sprinkling flour over it and then dipping it into the fryer. Such an interesting process and it's always nice to know how my food is being (safely) cooked.

Fatty foods would always find their way on the table or on the menu. Meals often end with a dish filled with too much sugar. There would often be an excess in carbohydrates. If vegetables and fruits are served, the size is often too small. Don't get me wrong. They are delicious that's why I also eat them. Talagang masarap... pero bawal. Too much of such a diet may prove to be unhealthy in the long run. The problem, however, is finding truly healthy food that also tastes good. It seems that the saying "masarap ang bawal" has trained many of us to think that if the food is not bawal, then it's not masarap. Faburrito changed my mind about this matter. Now, healthy can be delicious. This Mexican, organic restaurant offers salads, tacos, rice meals, and burritos. As a rule, they don't add artificial sugars, they only use organic ingredients, and they prepare your meal as you order so they will be served to you fresh. It's not strictyl vegetarian. They do serve organic lean meat, but you can replace your meat with Fajita mushrooms. During my recent visit, I ordered Fajita Mushroom Salad. It was loaded with fresh vegetables (tomatoes, cucumber, salad greens, and onions) and was topped with crispy corn chips which are not salty like the junk food version or commercially sold nachos. Yes, all the ingredients were light and healthy, but the meal itself was filling and delicious. I left the store feeling full and happy with no guilt at all because I also learned that they share 10% of their earnings to charities. So eating there was not just filling but also fulfilling. 'Yan talaga ang masarap na hindi bawal.

My first burrito did have 99% rice so this one had a little less than 99% so I'd say it's better than that. The chicken was good. The veggies were just like some lettuce and beans. Dips were perfect. I'm not sure if this is authentic burrito, but I'm pretty sure it's not more of rice and not so bland. I can't say I've experienced better, but I guess they can do better. I think they're a bit pricey for most people. For me, it's just right considering how I was filled with just half the burrito (or I probably just have a tiny stomach to fill). Might try other stuff from here when I'm in the area. But I hope they do something with the dryness and bland taste of the food.

That would've been okay had the rice been flavorful, but it was bland. The chicken in it was pretty good, but I wish there was just more. And where are my veggies and black beans? What burrito is this? I thought the garlic sauce would be the saving grace, but it tasted weird. Sana nag-Army Navy nalang ako. The nacho platter in terms of appearance was pretty exciting--colorful, lots of toppings, etc. But it also fell short. There was a lot of ingredients, but they tasted store-bought and pretty cheap. Again, I was looking for more black beans, jalapeno and a bit more spice. Contrary to its plating, the flavors I'm looking for in a good nacho platter was just not there. My friend ordered the Pollo meal and was also disappointed. If you're in Mega Food Hall, I suggest you skip them and jump right to the long queue at Frankie's where what you'll be paying for will be worth it.
