The place always has a long line every time we pass by. Imagine our surprise when, even on a Monday, the place was packed! We ordered Silantro's Calliente Wings (Php170, 3.7USD) for our starter. Their Lucha Tacos is one of their best-sellers. We had the Medio which offers double choice of meat in 2 taco shells (option for soft or hard shell, we went for the the soft shell) for only Php95 (2USD)! We ordered the lengua and lamb. For the adventurous, there is ox stripe. But, they also have chicken and beef for those who want to play it safe. Go for the lengua, really good! I also had a Mojito (Php90, 1.9USD), one glass was definitely not enough. The only thing we didn't like about Silantro was their service. It took them quite a long time to serve our food. But, even with the waiting time, the food is worth it. I'm going back to this place with my friends. Next time, I'll be ordering their Unli Mojito! :)

Chili's is always a good place to hang out and catch up with friends. I was surprised to see that…read morethe restaurant is full on a weeknight. I had a pleasant and comfortable first time visit to this branch (I am often at their Morato branch). I was the first to arrive among my friends and was seated to a confortable couch while the receptionist introduced to me our waiter. I was handed the menu and was introduced to their best-sellers and promos. Most restaurants I know would not even mention their promo, but they did. I was already hungry so I ordered their southwestern egg rolls to spend the time. Egg rolls is one of my favorite at Chili's. It is soft flour tortillas filled with beans, smoked chicken, corn, jalapenos jack cheese, red peppers and spinach, rolled and fried, then served with avocado-ranch dressing. It is cool and comforting to the mouth. After awhile, my friends arrived and we started ordering. We availed their Php999 promo of 1 appetizer and 2 entree of choice. We ended up ordering Wings over Buffalo, Fish and Chips, and Classic Chicken Fajita since it will be for sharing. The chicken drummettes are very flavorful and swert yet very spicy too. The fish comes in 3 giant pieces. They are soft and crispy but a bit too oily. The grilled chicken was good and everything blended well arpubd the flour tortilla. Halfway thrpugh our catching up, my phone died. Although there are available sockets around the restaurant, we sat from it. So I asked our server if I can give them my phone to charge and they willingly accepted it. Overall, staffs are very attentive and fast. Food is good. The toilets are downstairs though. They also have a smoking area and a bar. Few parking spaces around but there is a parking lot across. Great place to hang out.

My first burrito did have 99% rice so this one had a little less than 99% so I'd say it's better than that. The chicken was good. The veggies were just like some lettuce and beans. Dips were perfect. I'm not sure if this is authentic burrito, but I'm pretty sure it's not more of rice and not so bland. I can't say I've experienced better, but I guess they can do better. I think they're a bit pricey for most people. For me, it's just right considering how I was filled with just half the burrito (or I probably just have a tiny stomach to fill). Might try other stuff from here when I'm in the area. But I hope they do something with the dryness and bland taste of the food.

That would've been okay had the rice been flavorful, but it was bland. The chicken in it was pretty good, but I wish there was just more. And where are my veggies and black beans? What burrito is this? I thought the garlic sauce would be the saving grace, but it tasted weird. Sana nag-Army Navy nalang ako. The nacho platter in terms of appearance was pretty exciting--colorful, lots of toppings, etc. But it also fell short. There was a lot of ingredients, but they tasted store-bought and pretty cheap. Again, I was looking for more black beans, jalapeno and a bit more spice. Contrary to its plating, the flavors I'm looking for in a good nacho platter was just not there. My friend ordered the Pollo meal and was also disappointed. If you're in Mega Food Hall, I suggest you skip them and jump right to the long queue at Frankie's where what you'll be paying for will be worth it.

Tacos Chingones is located beside Som's and only has a few tables. So, when I go here, I either go alone or just bring 1 or 2 friends with me. They only have a few choices on their menu but they are all done with much love and...grease. Seriously, you will see the ladies cooking a mountain of onions on their griddle and, when they get an order, they cook all the meat with the onions. All their tacos are made to order and so fresh! These tacos are great for a lunch stop or a quick dinner. My favorites are the Chicharones, Al Pastor, and Chorizo. But, my non-negotiable and I-will-order-3-pieces-for-myself order is the Lengua! I know many don't like to eat tongue but, the ladies here cook it right. It's just melts in your mouth. Can't fully explain it. Just order it, ok? The perfect beverage to go with your tacos? An ice cold Coke, oh yes! So, stop whatever you're doing. Head to this taco cart. Order ALL the tacos! Wolf down the tacos. Order again. You're welcome! ;)

Having grown up on canteen tacos, made with crunchy…read moreshells, spaghetti sauce and Quickmelt, I never felt that there was any reason for me to pick tacos over anything else, except for like...rice and salt or something. However, when I had my first soft steak taco, I saw the light. Gone were the palate-piercing shards of fried tortillas. The mush and gristle of "taco meat" was replaced by the . Most importantly what seemed like disparate parts merged into a whole. And yet even that would not please the palate of a Mexican visitor to the Philippines. The tortilla would be the wrong kind, the taco itself too big. Unless he found itself at Tacos Chingones. This unassuming little truck (seriously my friend ate at Som's 2 days before we had Tacos here and he didn't notice) serves the most authentic tacos in Manila. Gone are the large flour tortillas, replaced with a pair of small corn tortillas. 2 are required to contain the juice of the meat. Speaking of the meat, you won't find spaghetti sauce anywhere here.Instead, all meat is freshly cooked on the griddle. The Choices include: Chicharones (Chicharon), Pastor (Pulled Pork), Barbacoa (Chopped Beef), Chorizo, Pollo de Chipotle(Chicken in Spicy Sauce), Carne Molida con Papas (ground beef and potatoes) and TNT (Tongue and Tripe). Of these, the standout is the TNT, which explains why it's priced slightly higher than other toppings. The melting tenderness of the lengua is set against the slight chew of the tripe. If you're a bit squeamish at the thought of eating offal tacos, the Chcharones and Barbacoa would be my choice. These toppings give small morsels of flavor that go better with the small tortillas than the other choices in my opinion. Also, the crunch of the chicharon and the meatiness of the beef set off against the soft but crispy tortillas. The tacos go for 170 for 3, except for the TNT, which costs 80 per taco. While surprisingly filling, there shouldn't be any problem trying all the fillings for yourself. While eventually you'll find your favorite, the tacos are affordable and light enough to get a different taco fix every time you need it.

Chili's has many food choices but this stands tall for my last visit. SERVICE And now for the grand finale...Service! One of my crispers was seemingly raw dead center but I asked Mac for some clarity. He agreed and had the entire dish changed without hesitation. I must add, we were relentless with that very tasty dip! Water refills were proactively served. Mac and his staff nailed it; terrific customer service! Kids seem to love the sinfully tasty American food consisted of burgers, nachos, fries, wings and the like. Admittedly, I celebrated my 20th birthday here a long time ago. What makes it perfect for parties is the lively feel of the place and the large portions of food making it good for sharing. The classic nachos have just the right amount of cheese, jalapeños, beans, beef, guacamole and sour cream dip. Just thinking about it makes me crave for it! There is also the popular choice of wings over buffalo that most kids and adults get. Kids dont mind getting their hands messy! Since the food can be on the heavy side, the fajitas would be a good choice for something healthier compared to everything else. But savs some space for dessert because you MUST try the High and Mighty pie. It's sinful, it's sweet but so worth every calorie.
