The place always has a long line every time we pass by. Imagine our surprise when, even on a Monday, the place was packed! We ordered Silantro's Calliente Wings (Php170, 3.7USD) for our starter. Their Lucha Tacos is one of their best-sellers. We had the Medio which offers double choice of meat in 2 taco shells (option for soft or hard shell, we went for the the soft shell) for only Php95 (2USD)! We ordered the lengua and lamb. For the adventurous, there is ox stripe. But, they also have chicken and beef for those who want to play it safe. Go for the lengua, really good! I also had a Mojito (Php90, 1.9USD), one glass was definitely not enough. The only thing we didn't like about Silantro was their service. It took them quite a long time to serve our food. But, even with the waiting time, the food is worth it. I'm going back to this place with my friends. Next time, I'll be ordering their Unli Mojito! :)

They have some vegetarian choices as well. So, anyone can eat here! I enjoy their burritos and the quesadillas. The burger isn't bad either! The best part of eating here is that every table is equipped with red and white sauce that adds just the right flavor to their food. The red sauce gives it a kick while the white sauce offers a garlicy note. The prices in this joint are reasonable because every time you walk out, you will feel full and youre going to want to come back to try their other dishes. I know that ill have to go back so i can try their pulled pork burrito! Just make sure that when you come here you dont expect Tex Mex because they are straight up mexican! I can tell because their tacos are soft as opposed to the U-shape tacos made popular by the West.

I went on a Saturday evening with my aunt and two of my brothers, but the Megamall branch wasn't even half full, but that only meant faster service and less antsy staff. I wish they at least put on some music - it's not much to fuss over, but I think it'd attract more customers at least. I availed of combo 4 - a burrito and a taco - whereas my brothers got a combo 5 (burrito and a quesadilla) and regular San Francisco Style burrito (double the meat). We all at least got to try out each other's dishes. I enjoyed my grilled chicken burrito, and my beef taco was crisp and didn't fall apart like cheaper end tacos. My brother's quesadillas weren't anything to fawn over about. The San Francisco Style ground beef burrito was definitely meatier, but I don't think it really needed to be to make you full. Mexicali has great Mexican food, but be prepared for the gas to follow your meal.

It is made from corn which is fried and becomes crispy, flaky. Julio's Home of the Chalupa is the American chalupa version. Theirs is a deep-fried flat bread which is chewier and thicker than a traditional chalupa. The fillings are usually ground beef, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. My brother introduced me to this place and it is just so good! Think of it like a thick taco! Crispy, chewy goodness with every bite. If it's your first time to eat here, go for the traditional chalupa! Be careful with the Chipotle sauce but, it does make the chalupas taste better. The most recent time I ate here, they now serve a dessert chalupa! The chocolate sauce they use is so thick and creamy. It was addictive! :P

More accurately, you get a puffy taco shell, made by deep frying a freshly rolled out piece of dough, filled with your choice of meat, vegetables, and sauce. The chalupa shell is the star of the show here. Its crisp golden crunch yields to a soft, chewy inside. I'd eat it with just sauce. Chipotle sauce, to be exact. Julio's gives a choice of regular crema sauce and spicy chipotle sauce. Crema finds itself somewhere between sour cream and mayonnaise both in flavor and viscosity. The regular version here reminds me of a runnier and tangier shawarma sauce, and is good in its own right. However, I'm a chilihead and the Chipotle adds a nice smoky kick to the crema. Highly recommended. As for proteins, to be honest they take a backseat here. The ground beef is alright, and there's not too much gristle, but I far prefer the grilled chicken for the texture. It's firm and meaty and provides a contrast to the shell. All in all, I highly recommend Julio's' chalupas. It's a cut above a normal taco.

Taco Vengo's tacos are not your typical steak, pork, or chicken choices. Where else can you get a Tempura taco with a Horchata? You can get both here and they do not scrimp on the ingredients! Since I've eaten here a few times already with Carlo, my favorite tacos are the BLT, Tempura Shrimp, and Grilled Salmon. I used to like the Pork Cheek Confit but, in my last 2 visits, the taco was just filled with FAT! It was too much for me to even swallow. So, I'm not sure if I want to order that again. :( For dessert, try their Chwaffle a la Mode! It's basically what will happen if a Churro and a Waffle have a baby. A word of advice: wait for the food to settle in your tummy before deciding to order again because after devouring the mini tacos, your tongue will want to order on and on and on. I seriously wanted to order two more after having had two already.

We always end up ordering the Burger Bites and Unlimited Chips + Dip. I know it is a BIG chain but they serve really good American food and the service is amazing! One time a kid threw his toy plane into my drink (I did not do anything bad to the kid after, I promise). It wasn't the management's fault but they gave me a new drink and didn't charge me. :) Personally, since the food is quite heavy, I go for the Crispy Chicken Tenders and/or the Crispy Chicken Salad. When I am really hungry I order the Southern Smokehouse Burger or the Country Fried Steak. Big burger with bacon strips and onion rings or a deep fried steak? Bring on the meat! When I'm here, I prefer to just drink my Liter Mug of Beer or Strawberry Margarita on the rocks. Very chill and cozy place to be with friends and family. Always a favorite!

Although they are a bit expensive, I still think with Chili's quality of food, it's all worth it. I personally like their Fish and Chips. It's pretty hard to impress me when it comes to this dish but theirs is one I would recommend to anyone! The fish is perfectly seasoned and the batter it's coated with is equally satisfying! The tartare sauce that comes with it also help the fish shine. Chili's is also known to have the best frozen strawberry mojito and I must agree! It's super good, I could actually have three to four glasses of this drink in one sitting. Their regular mojito isn't bad at all either but as a big strawberry fan, I'd always prefer the pink perfect concoction.

Kids seem to love the sinfully tasty American food consisted of burgers, nachos, fries, wings and the like. Admittedly, I celebrated my 20th birthday here a long time ago. What makes it perfect for parties is the lively feel of the place and the large portions of food making it good for sharing. The classic nachos have just the right amount of cheese, jalapeños, beans, beef, guacamole and sour cream dip. Just thinking about it makes me crave for it! There is also the popular choice of wings over buffalo that most kids and adults get. Kids dont mind getting their hands messy! Since the food can be on the heavy side, the fajitas would be a good choice for something healthier compared to everything else. But savs some space for dessert because you MUST try the High and Mighty pie. It's sinful, it's sweet but so worth every calorie.
