If you want to be blamed for "ordering incorrectly" , get yelled at , told to leave , and to shut the f@*# up , then come here . This place has terrible customer service . ALL of this bc I dared to ask for what I ordered . My mistake . I was told to sign the check ($13.37) and "there's the door" . "Don't come back , there are other restaurants to go to" . As a male voice SHOUTS from the back , "SHUT THE F@*# UP" . Such a terrible experience , on a Friday MORNING , for a SCHOOL BUS driver at 11:30a . UNACCEPTABLE . I tried to explain . Manager said she wasn't going to listen . Denied her behavior . I tried to say my job was to order , eat and pay . Their job (At a minimum) is to provide what I ordered . Not make it seem like it was my fault "When you order it that way , the kitchen changes it to something else." Ordered a 1 TostaGuac (w/no tomato / no beef) and 1 Chicken tamale . Food came , at first glance it looked good . Noticed there was no guacamole on my tostada . A different waitress came to the table , I told her that there was no guacamole , she said "tostadas don't come with guacamole" I said , I ordered the TostaGuac . She walked away . Then , the female manager comes . All of this .... Over guacamole . The guacamole I ORDERED . Why ?? Why couldn't the MANAGER say , "Oops . I'm sorry . Must have been a misunderstanding in the back . I'll get you a new one." No . That did not happen . Instead , I am told to leave and not come back . I am so sorry for asking for guacamole . I'm so sorry I wanted a new tostada . I should know that my requests are outside the norm for a Mexican Cuisine restaurant . For future I will remember to just accept what I'm given , to shut up and "just sign the bill" . Then "theres the door" . So , I dare not step foot again . I have been put in my place and told other restaurants are more accommodating . So sorry for bothering them at lunchtime . We've only had the taco's so far. The beef and the steak. Absolutely delicious. Being from the west I can honestly say these are the closest thing to southwest mexican food (my favorite) that I have found. Tender, moist. Simple, uncomplicated perfectly seasoned. Could not ask for a better taco. Excellent service, great atmosphere. We won't be going anywhere else from now on. read more

I use to like this place but it has severely gone down hill. After a few months hiatus after the last debacle where our food was ice cold and they forced me to return there in the middle of an ice storm, I finally decided to return thinking that perhaps that was just an off night. I decided to order the quesadilla to go and let me tell you I'm not impressed. The size of the quesadilla for 12.50 is ridiculous. Really enjoyed our meal here. Happy hour prices are amazing. 32 oz of beer for $3, and $2 for bottles. Every day there is a special. Thursdays it's $2 off fajitas. Standard Tex-Mex fare but good. Very tasty, indeed. Authentic with an interesting mix of refinement & American style. The wait staff id very attentive and well-groomed, but all e beer is served in the bottle without a mug or nice glass to put it into, for instance. The guacamole is creamy smooth and not overly dosed with spices or onion. Nice. Sauces are well-flavored and mild...add your own heat from the hot sauces at the table. We have several really good Mexican restaurants back home and this one is just as good...and the princes are within a dollar of back home. We started out waiting for a waitress or waiter for quite awhile and when we weren't acknowledged, we went to the kitchen to place our order. When the appetizer arrived (Jalapeño poppers), they were very poor quality, so we returned them to the kitchen. We had family in town and we have been to this restaurant before with no problems. What we encounter was I think the worst we have ever experienced at a restaurant. Bad food, no apologies and no offers to redo. The food was obviously prefrozen, heated up and not hot in interior and tough. The waitress took it away and rolled her eyes. Was horrible service for all of meal. She must have been family. Then they charged for this item which we only tasted and sent back! When talking to the manager/owner the waitress said, "Well they are some of it." And the manager stated some policy. And kept the charge on. Never again, ever. Stopped in for dinner last night after visiting with family. My step daughter raved about how fabulous this restaurant is, I was sorely disappointed. Wait staff was very nice but that can't make up for the ridiculous wait time for our order to come out as well as the mediocre at best food. Obviously in a town as small as Archbold they are capable of overcharging because of the lack of restaurants. $50+ for a family of four (two adults,two kids) I expected better. read more

We continue to go back because the food is very good, the staff is attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. The restaurant is well decorated and always clean. I eat at Casa V's at least once a week and have tried "nearly" everything on the menu. It is authentic Mexican food and there is little I haven't liked. They have the best fish tacos and shrimp dishes east of the Mississippi and their pork burrito gets rave reviews from everyone I've eaten with.
