The $26 summer deal was a good option, though it would have been great to have at least one pizza choice since it's called Pizza & Pasta, but no such luck.
Between the two of us we had the Arancini, which were a bit dry and overcooked, and would have done well with some sauce. It was described as having pork and beef ragu, green peas, Grana Padano and house made mozzarella, though I was not getting much of any of that. This should have been way more filled with that and definitely more of that as a sauce on the side.
The Insalata di Pomodori Alla Siciliana was quite good in terms of ingredients. It had herloom tomatoes, Taggiasca olives, capers, ricotta salata, basil dressing and EVOO.
The Taglioni Verdi Al Pecorino e Limone was also tasty and a great summer pasta, though there is definitely better Lemon Pasta in town, like Jon & Vinny's and Terroni, which may have been the best I ever had. But I have not been there in years and current reviews here on Yelp are NOT good. This one had spinach taglioni, lemon butter sauce, Rranarola Pecorino Romano, parsley powder and lemon zest.
Sadly, my pasta was disappointing. To be fair, our sweet server said she did not like anchovies so this was not her choice, and while I do like them, this was overwhelming and way too salty. All I tasted was the anchovies. There was yellow and red cherry tomatoes, Taggiasca olives, anchovies (see note), basil, lemon zest, and extra-virgin olive oil but all of that was lost. Probably should have sent this one back, but oh well.
