The restaurant is so dirty. The windows and windowsills are dirty and have food that has been there a long time. The booths are not clean either. You are only given a fork no knife or spoon. When I unwrapped the fork it did not look clean and had water spots. I don't know maybe it is the water in Orange. The forks definitely need to be clean. I understand they are under new management. The first thing that should have been done is clean the place and keep it clean. No one likes going to a dirty establishment to eat. The staff is usually very nice but that does not makeup for the filth. I would like to go there again someday but not until something is done . The food is so bland everything tastes the same. I seriously saw the absolute grossest thing at this location. The day before Thanksgiving, while visiting the area, we made the decision to drop by and have an early dinner. There were two female servers out in front of the restaurant smoking. If that wasn't gross enough, as we walk up, one of them spits. I was mortified! We had to stand there and wait for the two "ladies" to finish their cigarette before we could be seated. While I know this isn't the classiest of establishments, that was super disgusting. read more

pretty crazy for a tex-mex place to have only one selection of hispanic beer. but aside from that, it felt like winter in alaska inside, the food was horrible, still can't wrap my head around messing up cheese enchiladas. had a broad selection of michelob ultra, bud light, and modelo for beer. service was sub par. brought out my lime laying on the servers tray, no cup or anything. slammed the plate in front of us. then was told we couldn't get another beer because they were closed. worst place i've ever eaten. wish i could give 0 stars. pathetic. read more

I should have listened to the other reviews. The food was horrible. The chips tasted old and the Queso had no flavor. The charro beans tasted like they came from a can. My husband order the steak and enchiladas. The steak was like old shoe leather. The Guac came out and it was grey. The only thing I can say is nice waitstaff. read more

I'm glad I live in Houston & have Pappasito's. Stoped here on my way to Sulfur. Was warned that a lot of businesses are closed. I wanted a sit down lunch & I got one. Ordered the Queso Flameado. It was literally fajita beef with queso poured on top, then top with some shredded cheese. Couldn't figure out why it was so wet, until I realized. Nice flavor on the beef. Interior is clean. I hate to say it, but eating at Casa Ole' was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We were visiting from out of town (I live in Austin) and were meeting up with a group of friends. One of them chose this place, mostly for nostalgic purposes (he'd used to work there). The place was /really/ crowded, and if the group had been smaller, I might've suggested going elsewhere. I think it took about half an hour before the waiter came by to even take our order! In the meantime, we snacked on chips and salsa, and I noticed a couple of times that the chips I bit into tasted "off." Like... dirt, or mold, or something. I just figured, well, bad chip. Unfortunately, I'd made the mistake of ordering nachos. And sure enough, when my order finally arrived (that took /another/ half-hour), the first bite I took had that same moldy/dirt taste. I managed to choke it down and then insisted that my boyfriend try a bite, to see if he tasted what I did. As soon as he bit into it, he made a face. We flagged down the waiter and explained the situation to him, and he offered to get us something else, but the group of us were all pretty much winding down, and I didn't want to wait another half-hour just for my portion. So they just took it off the bill, and I sat there, hungry, while everyone finished up. I did stop by the bathroom before we left, and while I was in there, another customer came in and leaned over the faucet and started scooping handfuls of water into her mouth. When she noticed me, she asked, "Did you have the chips?" I said yes. We both grimaced. I think that's really all that need be said. Next time I'm in Orange, I will NOT be going to Casa Ole'. I can still conjure up the taste of those moldy chips, and it's not one I ever want to taste again! read more

Well I should have listened. One reviewer complained about this place but I really wanted Mexican so I decided to go anyway. A mistake but that's what I get for not listening right! Well, the chips - whoa old oil!! Growing up in the restaurant biz I know old oil! Chips are not very good at all. They need to change there fryer oil more often! Main meal was not so great either. Ordered enchiladas and steak. Very very salty and the steak was the size of a Post it Note! The server was great and was working very hard. The problem is the host was seating everyone in her area one after another and one person can only handle so much. So I fault the host not the waitress. She was great and had a great attitude! Wait staff helping her were great as well. People overall were very nice and were doing the best they can. Place appears to be old and dirty as well. I would pass. Cass Ole in Orange really really really really doesn't want you to Open Carry in their restaurant. They have four 30.07 signs. Two on either side of the door. No 30.06. They would lose my busines if they didn't allow concealed carry. Cass Ole is mine and my wife's favorite restaurant in Orange. Love their Enchelada and steak dinners. She loves their tacos. These folks were petting all my peeves tonight. Don't tell me "I'll be right back" if you won't be right back. One of my big no-no's in a restaurant is to have the appetizer and the entree come out at the same time. They nailed that one, too. If you are offering chips and salsa, either keep them on my table or tell me where to get more. A 12-oz bottle of beer doesn't last for 40 minutes. And speaking of beer, if a patron orders a Shiner, they do not mean a Shiner Blonde. They want a Shiner Bock. What I managed to eat was decent, so two stars. The rest came home with me, so I'll know more about that later. Standard Tex Mex. I haven't had any of the bad experiences other reviewers have mentioned; our chips are always good, and the service is great - friendly and fast. We also order take-out a lot, but we do check our order when picking up due to several errors in the past. There aren't a lot of veg options in Orange, and sometimes you just need a bean burrito, chips and salsa, and a beer - and Casa Ole does just fine. read more

Really not good. I ordered tacos and it was like they had never seen a taco before. All the topping were literally on top of the taco rather than inside.. and there was celery in the beef (I don't even know...). My friend asked for just a chicken quesadilla and it came with no cheese. read more

For the third time in a row the staff at this Casa Ole messed my to go order up. Got home and had no flour tortillas for the steak fajitas we ordered. We paid for extra chips and salsa and where given one bag of chips and two small containers of salsa. I mean like the little containers you will sometimes get for butter on a baked potato. They stuffed my kids supreme grande nachos into a desert box. Also while waiting I got to listen to the employees bicker about who was going to go and get my food and the cashier was telling me about how all the employees and the manager are always arguing. And then right as I was leaving I had the pleasure of listening to the manager insult one of his employees for going to school at Little Cypress, which I am a graduate of.
