Went here for the first time this past Friday night after hearing nothing but positive things from friends who have gone. This place did not disappoint. When we got there we were by ourselves but soon there was a steady stream of customers. The place is clean and has awesome art. We got the jalapeño poppers, Parlier roll fried, and chicken teriyaki bento box. Everything was so good!! The tempura veggies were the best we've had from any Japanese restaurant. Service was great. I will definitely be going back. Only suggestion I'd give is to play some music. It's really quiet in there. read more

Came from Fresno to try this place, It got pretty full fast with customers and police and firemen! We bought a teriyaki chicken bento box I ordered the spicy shrimp over fried rice A extra order of rice And we also got another bento box of steak And a extra order of the fries rice (we did not know how big the orders were ) And a Parlier roll! Wow! This new place is Amazing!!! The rolls were HUGE, and with great prices! Their menu has a large variety of different rolls. Also have Bento Boxes, bowls, great appetizers. We ordered five rolls, the Red dragon was our favorite and 2nd fave was Green Meadow. He brought us complementary jalapeno poppers and those were amazing!!! The baked salmon is the only roll for me. We ordered 8 rolls for our table and I have my own favorite. All were good, but there has to be a best. Once the food was all served all was well. The set up is a bit confusing. It's hard to know if you get your own silverware, napkins, when you dine in or do they bring it with the dishes. I had the opportunity to visit this new sushi joint recently. I had heard really good things about this eatery so I thought I'd check it out. I love sushi, and I'm always willing to give a new place a fair shake. During my visit, I ordered the Red Dragon Roll and my wife had the Crunchy Roll. We also ordered a side of teriyaki chicken. I have to say, the rolls were pretty tasty, and the chicken was good too. The service was good as well. I had read a previous review that a Yelper had posted regarding confusion on "how things work" at this restaurant and I kind of understand. It's a very small shop, so when you walk in you're pretty much at the counter. But unlike other restaurants, you are not seated, but rather you order at the counter then sit down. I think a simple "order here" sign would solve this minor issue. My only other gripe was the size of the rolls. I've seen pics on Yelp and they looked huge! Mine were rather small; tasty, but small. I think this place is on to something and I really hope they succeed. I would recommend this spot to friends if they want to head off the beaten path to try something fresh in town. read more

Tried the New Sanger location today! Super busy. Kinda unorganized but only because it's New and people didn't know what was going on. I didn't know what was going on. A young lady took my order ( the M&M roll ) I paid and was told it would be at least a 30 min wait ! I didn't mind waiting because it was busy it was lunch time and the High schoolers were piling in. My roll was done in less than 30 mins so I was happy about that. Took it home and OMG was it great. I work close by and I'm looking forward to going back. As I was traveling to Reedley, to my surprise I saw a Japanese Restaurant in Parlier. I was hungry so I gave this place a try. The sushi was really good! But the teriyaki bowls I ordered were not what I expected: 1. It was mostly rice with sauce and a little meat with few sesame seeds for the price. I also notice that the employees were not wearing cloves and hair nets. I'm lucky that I didn't get any hair in my food or food poisoning. Obviously, I will not be back! We all grew up with an endless list of Mexican restaurants, Pizza Pirate (which is only good when you're growing up in Parlier), and an occasional burger from BK; but our community has always longed for, and deserved to have more. No longer must we Parlierians (is that a thing?) travel to a neighboring town for great eats that aren't served with a side of rice and beans. Now available in the well known RN/Burger King shopping center is Casa Oinari. Sushi! Bento boxes! Teriyaki chicken bowls! No BS! I'll pass over how I think a sushi restaurant in our town is a sign of progress, I won't mention how I hope the use of Spanish in their name is an ode to our community's rich Mexican heritage, and I'll move on to the meat and potatoes of this review. Or in this case, the fish and the rice of the review. We had three different rolls, a chicken bowl, and a miso soup during our visit and each item was delicious. The rolls are well presented, large, and as good or better than anything we'd travel to Reedley, Kingsburg, or even Fresno for. The chicken is tender and well seasoned and a great option for kids or those who pass on the idea of raw fish. Soup is piping hot and great for opening up that palate for your main dish. Save some time and take your hard earned cash to a restaurant staffed by great guys providing outstanding service, who were willing to take a chance on our community. The food here is fresh, they shop local for produce which makes it even better! The customer service is great. & Of course the food is amazing.
