Could use some updates to the inside but the food (tacos/chips/salsa) were amazing! Will be back and with others.

Don't skip coming here…read more We went with the two recommendations from Our server and we're NOT disappointed. My husband got the huevos rancheros. Delicious. I got the chilaquiles with chicken and for the two sauces choice the white and verde. It was the best I've ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were spot on! The service was slow but that was bc every single table was taken - and now I know why. We will be back.

The food was very good the flavor was on point and my favorite was the hash browns they were buttery and crunchy. My wife and I shared the meat lovers breakfast burrito and it was good size and filled with the filling. The sauce on top had a little kick to it but that could have been the veggies on top, but would get it again. Our friend got the breakfast enchiladas and said it was very good, she likes the green sauce over the red. I didn't personally try so I can't say how it was. My son ordered the traditional breakfast, and that's exactly what it was, but he liked it. The pancakes are the size of the plate and had a fluffy center and crispy edges. We did have to ask for more syrup because they were so big. The only reason it was not a 5 was because I felt the waitress could have been around more. I felt that since we had a group of 7 and the gratuity was already added she didn't worry about it. Our waters went empty and we had to ask a different waiter for more water and syrup, when she came over the water was warm and didn't have any ice. A kid spilled her syrup we went and asked for a rag and we cleaned it up which we expected but we had to flag someone down to see if she could get more syrup. I just felt she wasn't as attractive as she could have been. We went there on a Monday around 9:45, so it wasn't extremely busy. I would say that you should try it, it was good food!

They have delicious looking pies and other baked goods in the showcase. Our waitress was friendly and took our drink order while we looked over the menu. I opted for the regular breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash-browns and toast. My sister ordered eggs with French toast that looked really good as well. The restaurant is super cute-there was a diner top area with stools, plenty of tables and booths throughout. The restrooms were nice and clean and this restaurant will probably be one of my go to when I'm in the area.

We were seated right away as a party of 8, which was great for a larger group. Unfortunately, the experience this time was really slow when it came to food service. Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive, and we noticed smaller tables that were seated after us received their meals, ate, and left before we even got ours. Our server also walked past our table several times without giving any updates, which was frustrating while waiting. We typically go to the Liberty location because we've had better experiences there. This visit just wasn't the best, but we do like the overall vibe of the restaurant and hope service improves at this location.

The wait turned out to be worth it. I arrived just after they opened and stepped into a space that's eclectic, funky and a little random in the best way, complete with bookcases of games that gives the place its own personality. My cortado was the epitome of perfection, rich and balanced, and because it took a moment to prepare, I was handed a free chocolate chip cookie. That little surprise absolutely blew my ketosis but I didn't regret it for a second. I stayed for two hours, settling in and enjoying the atmosphere with their wifi before heading out to explore Independence. Coffee Elsewhere is one of those neat little spots that feels genuinely local, the kind of place that does coffee right and doesn't try to be anything other than itself. It was a great stop and exactly the kind of independent shop I look for when I'm on the road. [Review 822 of 2026 - 540 in Missouri - 26003 overall]

The coffee takes this down half star. I don't like how Yelp doesn't take out half stars. The coffee is always strong, brave and jolting, except today it was disappointingly weak. The bonus for this visit was the cranberry orange scone. Loved it.

It seemed to be placed under a heat lamp until the meat was dried out, than slathed with brown gravy just before serving. I received one carrot, a piece of potato and mashed potatoes drowned in brown gravy. Edible, but not worth what we were charged. For me, the highlight was going to be Apple Cobbler a la Mode. The presentation was spectacular, but the menu clearly stated that this was baked in their kitchen. I took one spoonful and it was still partially frozen. I sent it back, and was told it would be put back in the oven, but it was back in two minutes, and the plate was piping hot. I asked if went back into the oven, and was told it was put into a microwave oven. It was at best luke warm, so I ate the ice cream and left the entire cobbler, less two small spoonfuls, on the table. I was offered a to go box, which I refused. I was there with my sons, who didn't want me to make a scene. Had I been there by myself, I would have had a long, difficult conversation with the manager. I may go back for breakfast (which is served all day), but not for lunch or dinner. I would have gotten the same level of food if I bought a Healthy Choice frozen dinner.
