I'm not from here, but since I'm stuck here for the unforeseeable future, I may as well sit down, dig in and find something close to the comfort creatures of home. I have officially tried EVERY Mexican restaurant in Warner Robins and the surrounding area and have officially left all of them disappointed. Until today..... The location? It sucks only because it's in a now almost abandoned "outlet" mall. There are probably 5 stores left, this new buffet (we'll try this later) and Casa Mexico tucked in a corner. I went in really having no expectations because well, I've had no luck even finding OK Mexican food around here. Wow was I surprised. The service was GREAT from the time we walked in the door. Greeted with a smile, immediately taken to a table, chips and salsa brought out before I could really get comfortable and a waiter who immediately came to take our drink orders. This place already had my heart. The food was GREAT for the area, but being from a place that was 2 hours from Mexico, I've had the best. HOWEVER, this place is going to be my go to place for Mexican food. Our waiter was awesome, the hostess was awesome, the food was great. I'm a fan. One problem? The tables are too small. There really wasn't enough room to open 2 menus at the same time and the space to have 2 people sit side by side is almost impossible. Go visit. You'll be impressed. read more

I just ordered take out Carnitas dinners 2. It has been more than 30 days since I ordered from them. I found out that the dinners increased in price at least 2.00 per plate but they also decreased the amount of meat on the plate. The meat was very dry and crusty and had very little moist meat. I understand going up on the price but cutting the amount of meat and the quality also is not alright. I have been eating at this restaurant for about 5 years. read more

Both my lovely wife and I agree that we very picky when it comes to Mexican food. We simply like what we like and tonight was for sure eh.... Service was very good and this place was packed. My enchiladas were for the most part lacking flavor and my wife had the fish which was only ok..... She did enjoy her veggies and we both enjoyed the extra large Pina Colada. Not familiar with the area, we stopped in and kindly asked if our 5 year son could use the restroom because his bladder was about to pop according to him and this was the closest place around. Went here for lunch on a Saturday. We were greeted and seated immediately. We ordered drinks which arrived quickly with chips and salsa. He ordered the homemade Mexican chicken soup which we were told is just how every household in Mexico makes it! I had the chicken fajita quesadilla which was perfect!! When it was time to leave, the waitress offered me a refill on my drink in a to-go cup. How's that for service!? Wow! Eat here often! read more

This was my last time coming. My husband and I ordered the flautas. When our food came out it was nachos. We told the waitress that we ordered flautas. She told us if she has to take food back then she has to pay for it. Which number 1, that's insane. You can tell the waitresses are scared of the owner. You shouldn't treat your employees that way. 2. I shouldn't be punished and forced to eat food I didn't order because she didn't hear me correctly. I decided to be the brat I am and didn't eat my food. The waitress took our plates and replaced it with what we actually ordered. We left her an extra tip in case she had to pay for the nachos. I really feel for the waitresses that work for someone who won't allow minor mistakes. read more

This place is a lttle bit expensive, and take a long time for the food to arrive. They sometimes are so packed that there are literally no seats.I can't understand the waitresses as they are all mexican and not trained to speak english well. Don't let that Kim chick scare you off. I have eaten here often with no issues at all. Even large groups of us coming after church or a local car meet and they have always accommodated us and if anything was wrong it was given to us at no charge or simply corrected. Some of the reviews made me a bit cautious, but as my choices at this exit were limited, I decided to give it a try anyway. Walking in I noticed the place was pretty busy, but I was greeted promptly and seated in a booth right away. The waitress was with me in a matter of minutes, with a basket of tortilla chips and salsa, very pleasant and friendly and as I was alone took my entire order in one session. The chips were fresh and warm and the salsa was very good with just a little kick. Drinks arrived shortly thereafter, water and a beer, and my meal, Chori pollio, arrived within 15 minutes. The food was excellent! Not sorry I stopped in and will return if I stay nearby again. My only complaint would be the beer selection and the seating/decor, a result of a strip mall restaurant, the booths were "fast food" like. read more

I just had the worst experience at Casa Mexico in Byron. I called in my order about 15 minutes prior to going to the restaurant, and I was trying to order 2 orders of chicken quesadillas meals and a large bean dip. I noticed as I called in my order, the lady did not speak English very well and seemed confused when I asked for 2 meals, not 1. I went into the restaurant and the lady still wasn't quite understanding that I wanted 2 meals and not just 1 meal. I tried explaining my order three different ways and the lady was starting to get agitated with me, finally raising her voice and saying "How Do You Want It?". At that point, I gave up trying to order, and left the restaurant in total and utter disappointment amongst stares because she had caused such a scene. Most likely not going back. read more

I come from a town with amazing Mexican food. Moving to the south east I wasn't sure what kind of Mexican food I would find. Casa Mexico is fantastic! They had me right off with the individual bowls for salsa and a small glass carafe of extra salsa at our table. Not only was there tons of salsa, it was so good I couldn't stop eating. The food and Margaritas were just as great! The margaritas were light on sweetness with plenty of tequila. You won't leave here disappointed. read more

Stopped by while driving from Atlanta to Orlando. What a great treat. I had the carnitas and the pork was tender and flavorful. My husband had the grande burito and he loved it. Some reviews stated the tortillas were made from scratch. I asked but they said they were not made there. Sad. But everything was really great so I cant stress over the tortilla issue. I stopped here on my way from Atlanta to Tallahassee. It's just off of the highway, so it was incredibly convenient, and I was grateful for not having to settle with fast food or a chain. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Burrito Grande with grilled chicken, and let me tell you, it certainly is grande. I could only finish about a third of it, but it was so delicious I wish I could have eaten the rest of it. I highly recommend Casa Mexico if you are in the area! read more

we have stopped here twice before on our way home to FL from points north. we love many things about this place: at 3:00 on Fiday afternoon, we were seated and served quickly, the servers all wearing masks. our meals: chalupa special (with added raw onions) and grilled chicken enchiladas, and the extra hot salsa, we devoured happily. it's big enough for families, and the menu is extensive and authentic mexican. exit 149 off of I75 gets you there. inexpensive too. we'll be back, next road trip! read more

I should have known better than to come here. The food is satisfactory Mexican. Not good Mexican as it is dialed down in flavor for the local clientele. The service on the other hand is slow and with attitude. We were literally the only customers in the restaurant and couldn't get service. I've eaten here three times now with my latest time being today in late August 2015. I ordered a to-go order which I waited 45 minutes in the restaurant for. I'm extremely disappointed with the service here, especially on to go orders. Thank goodness for smart phones or I may have blew my lid because my patience had worn super thin, but still kept my calm. I placed my order at 7:05pm and didn't leave the restaurant until 7:50pm with my food. They had me prepay for my food which I even tipped them beforehand hoping that things would be better this visit because they didn't look very busy. Well about 25 minutes into my wait they bring the food to me and realize they made the order incorrectly. You would think they would make sure my order was the next to be redone and quickly get it back out to me, but no it took 20 more minutes. Extremely unacceptable! They didn't offer me anything for my wait accept looks like they gave me an extra salsa which I didn't eat but a couple chips because the salsa was super habanero hot. I like it hot, but this was super hot and could not enjoy it. The food was good overall on the quesadilla and house special, but their service is at best an F!!! and I will not return anymore. I love Mexican food, but this is it for me at Casa Mexico. I'll drive 20 minutes into Warner Robbins or Macon next time and eat somewhere else if I'm craving Mexican food the next time I'm in the area. I really cannot express how disappointed I am with this restaurant. For a restaurant rated #1 in Byron that really is because it is the only sit down type restaurant in Byron that isn't of the fast food types and gets #1 by default in my opinion. I've ranted enough I guess, and hope the manager or owners of Casa Mexico read this because they need to know that this wait time for a to go order when it isn't busy is not acceptable. The food was ok but we are kinda picky about our Mexican. We have learned on the road with Mexican keep it simple. The reason we came here is it is the only place in town that has alcohol, and after a long day on the road a cold beverage to unwind is exactly what we were looking for. Like I said we kept it simple we both had 2 crunchy tacos. Word of advise if you want sour cream get it on the side or you will get a sour cream taco. Otherwise Tate food was decent. Be careful when you order to go orders. Twice now we've ordered cheese dip and both times told that it was 8 ounces only to get home and the container to be half full. We complained both times and the employee told us that they don't fill it up all the way to leave room for the lid. We complained again tonight and the manager said that it's not 8 ounces, it's just one scoop and the way it always will be. 4 ounces of cheese dip for $5?? Seriously?! My husband went back the second time about it and then also mentioned that no salsa was included with our food. We ordered a chicken quesadilla and a chimichanga both with rice on the side. They said sales doesn't come with it unless you order a meal! Seriously? $23 spent and you couldn't include a small thing of salsa. They made my husband pay the $1.50. We will NEVER go back. One star knocked off for having terribly seasoned ground beef IMO (but my kids like it). Otherwise everything I've tried has been fantastic! Good guac (only needs a shake of salt), good salsa, good sides, good "special sauce" that comes with a few dishes, but bland cheese dip. Pretty cheap for large portions. Kids menu prices can't be beat. Several vegetarian items to pick from. Expect to wait a little bit on a busy weekend. So far our favorite Mexican place in the Warner Robins area. read more
