I read the reviews of the other Jalisco and thought this one would be fine, it wasn't. Just hoping I don't get sick from eating here. Food had very obviously been reheated in the microwave. Rice was dry, flavorless, and had harder chunks like it was sitting out. Didn't even like my taco and it's hard to mess up a taco. Bathrooms are at the end of a large hallway that's also being used as a storage closet for cleaning supplies and the toilets looked like they were falling apart. Don't go here! read more

It's literally off the highway exit so convenient but in Wal-Mart lot with cadre of the typical low end stores so make your decision wisely. I didn't necessarily feel safe in parking lot either. I would not recommend this restaurant. I had a bug in my salad. This was noticed when waitress set plate on table. I asked for a new salad and another bug. A non flying, gnat or juvenile fly came of salad again. My family and myself lost their appetites. Only half of everyone's food was eaten. I requested that we not be responsible for the bill. The manager refused and stated he gave me more than an appropriate discount by taking off salad which was not eaten. He finally offered to settle at a 20 dollar bill after other customers came in standing behind me. I just hope we don't get sick. read more

I have come to the realization that I like Mexican restaurants for lunch because I don't feel guilty ordering a beer at 11:40AM! Jalisco was a random stop on the road trip down to Florida. Service was really good, friendly and fast. My friend had the chicken chilaquiles and I asked if a Chile Poblano dinner special could be sized and priced for lunch and they worked it out for me. You can eat Mexican here, but there's more to the story. If you'd like a little vibe or ambiance with your meal eat elsewhere. Nothing about this interior is clean, thought out or compelling. It's all rough from the water stained drop ceiling to the greasy floor tiles. The food is acceptable, but the environs make you wonder. Bathrooms, no way. Wait to pee at Waffle House. I think my kid summed it up. When he said, "this is like an old abandoned place where all the people mumble when they talk." Nailed it. If you're looking for dirty and quick, it'll work. The carnitas plate was good but when I asked for corn tortillas instead of flour that was brought originally, they never arrived. Little hole in the wall restaurant but one of the best around! I have eaten here almost very Sunday for years and have never had a bad meal. Great staff and great food. The only problem I have with this restaurant is that every time I visit, the drinks taste like a cleaning product.
