    Ceviche de Camaron(chico)

A hidden gem very authentic decor. The food here is always delicious. I love their lunch specials and the ceviche is great too. The people that work here are very friendly and welcoming.

The only thing I've ever known was what I've seen in a movie so Casa Mariachi was a nice little treat. The mariachi band plays on Friday nights at the bar from six to nine pm. The do a set first and then move around to the individual tables taking requests. There was quite a few birthdays so Happy Birthday was done a lot. Everyone clapped and cheered. We were not there long past nine but it appears they were setting up for a dj and dancing. My date had the carné asada which came with a whole serrano chile and an onion as well as salsa and guacamole. It was good. I had the shrimp diablo which came in a fiery red sauce with Mexican rice, French fries and a salad. It was good too. We also had two rounds of oysters on the half shell. They do things differently at Casa Mariachi. Plated with only limes and given several hot sauces I made due but really found the oysters very tasteless. It wasn't even that I missed my cocktail sauce and horseradish but at one point found myself and my date putting table salt on them. This shouldn't be happening. I don't even know what type they were because they weren't on the menu anywhere that I saw. There must have been some side conversation between my companion and my server because the platters just arrived. I would not get them again. Also there are two parts to this establishment, the bar where the band plays and the other side I believe is take out food only.

Second time I've been here and still not disappointed. The food is fresh made from scratch and authentic Mexican food. The service is stellar. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody.

    Empanada (chicken)

I ordered the chicken empanadas for lunch. The menu states that these empanadas are handmade. These empanadas taste and look like they came right out of the Goya section of the local grocery store. And, the tripe in the Menudo was over cooked and chewy. I have gotten tacos (lengua) here before. If you'd like great Empanadas, go to Border's Cafe.

I have been here twice and love it. The food is great. Lunch is only $6.99 and so much to choose from.

The food here is so good that everytime we come to the mall, we make it a point to have lunch here. You absolutely have to try the French dip sandwich. I think that's one of the best menu items. We've pretty much tried everything on the menu, but that's a staple for us. Also love the burger here. Juicy and a lot of flavor. Shrimp caesar salad is also a must! The truffle fries are always a great addition if you get one of those items. I'm going free for the next few months so I did get the French dip without the baguette today and it was still delicious. Service was great, the cooks are so friendly, and both are great at their jobs. Another thing I will say is it's a very relaxing place to have lunch. There's not blaring music, you have a nice view of outside. Very cozy and comfortable. If you're stumped on where to have lunch, or dinner definitely try this place out!

Well, everything has changed. I ordered the chicken fajitas with no peppers, only to be told that they coudn't accomodate that request. Apparently they don't cut their own onions & peppers anymore, it comes in as a mix. I'm sorry, but if someone orders no peppers, accomodate them. The fajitas came out not sizzling and stuck to the cast iron skillet. Chicken was lukewarm so it was sitting in the kitchen for a bit. The tortillas used to be in a basket wrapped in a napkin to keep them warm & soft. Not anymore. They came on the skillet with the lukewarm chicken & they were hard around the edges. More evidence of food just sitting around. I loved the chicken fajitas there, that place was what made me even like fajitas. Unfortunately, they have lost me as a customer. They've even changed the way the do the tortilla chips. I don't think they're homemade anymore. They taste like they were dumped out of a bag into a basket. I'm sure these decisions were made to save money. Well, in an attempt to save money, you have sacrificed the quality of the food. Horrible!!!!!
