There were pita wraps on the menu as well as couscous, but my choice was the mixed meat platter, which came with sliced chicken breast and a meaty, tender slice of roasted lamb leg, along with fried potatoes tossed in seasoning, a spicy aioli for dipping, and three different kinds of salads: a white cabbage slaw, a carrot slaw with cranberries, and a mixed bean salad. The chicken was on the dry side, but the lamb was tender, the potatoes were nicely seasoned, and the salads were all fresh and delicious. Though slow, the service was super friendly, and the atmosphere felt exotic with oriental decorations throughout the dining room.

The streets are jammed with cars, people, and cruise ships nearby dumping thousands more on to the quaint alleyways. The restaurant is located off a very steep multi tiered stairway, about two-thirds up from the bottom. We had a table that enabled us to watch all of humanity going up and down the stairs. It was most entertaining... especially those carrying baby strollers, of which there were many. Having an outside spot on the patio with a bistro style type table did not allow for much space, but we made it work. The menu is fairly abbreviated, yet it covers enough ground to satisfy most, with appetizers, salads, burgers, and entrees. I chose the pork ribs with fries, coleslaw, and a slice of pickle. At $30. CAD (approx. $22 US). The portion was just right, and the ribs were succulent and fell off the bone, easy to eat. The sauce was just right. The fries were good, and the slaw was tasty. I had a Boreal beer, blanche, that came with an orange wedge. It was quite good. Our server was very personable and did an excellent job throughout the meal. I wouldn't consider this place a high-end eating establishment, but it's good competent food at a fair price in a tourist area.

+.5 for service This…read moreis one of those "good, but not excellent" places. This place came up in my suggestions for an authentic French restaurant in Quebec City. Slight bit of drive outside Old Quebec, but it wasn't too bad. My family of 3 made an 8pm reservation over the holidays, which was a good idea as it was quite busy. The menu is tapas style, so shared dishes. We started with a dozen oysters, and they were excellent. In fact so excellent that we ordered another half dozen. Then came the shared dishes: Mussels - Good Grilled mini octopus - Good, although small. Rutabaga and cured duck breast - There was barely any duck breast in it, and it was the thinnest slice I've ever seen. Grilled hangar steak - A bit chewy despite it being medium rare. Chargrilled shrimps - Great, probably the best dish out of these I had. Service was excellent overall. This is probably a place I'd recommend if you aren't very hungry, as the portions were small for shared dishes.

The highlight is definitely the oysters - so fresh and delicious, and the price is very reasonable (2 dozens for a bit under $60). Being a person without much knowledge in wine pairing, I played safe and ordered a bottle of Chablis, which worked out quite nicely. We also ordered a few small plates to share, and the sautéed mushroom was the pleasant surprise! The flavor is so rich and creamy, and we love it so much. I'm glad we saved some space for desserts. The dessert platter was so amazing and what a great way to wrap up our dinner on a high note! Their cocktails are also very well made. Our server took the time to understand our preferences and prepared the cocktails to our liking. I'll definitely love to visit this place again!

We were pleasantly surprised despite the circumstances. We waited for about 15 minutes to be seated, even though there were open seats within view. We found out from our server, that they were extremely short staffed. From what we could see in a very large restaurant, there were only 3 front of the house workers. Serving customers and bussing tables. We had the option to order from the menu, which they warned us would take longer than normal because of the staffing challenges. They offered a buffet that was open and available. We thought best to "settle" for the faster option, since we had to hit the road ahead of the storm. What we found, we didn't really "settle" it was great. So many options for every age group in our family. From 3yr old to Seniors. Our family favorites: Chocolate croissants, croissants, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cantelope, yogurt and granola. We found the prices to be very reasonable for all of the options and variety. Conveniently located in our hotel. The atmosphere was very comfortable, clean and the frosted glass, blocked the view to the street, which is great, because there is a lot of homeless belongings/junk on that side of the building. Staff, despite being overwhelmed and overworked that day , were so nice and attentive.
