I went to them in fall wanting a fast growing tree to put in my front yard. They didn't have much…read moreto choose from and I should have left then. But a sales lady showed me a magnolia tree where one side had been cut off. It looked strange, but I was assured it had only been damaged in transport and would fill out get new branches soon. They're the experts, so I bought it. A man, I assume was the owner, started yelling at the sales lady saying she left her walkie in the bathroom and he was trying to get ahold of her. She had other customers who wanted to buy more than a tree! He said this in front of me, like I didn't matter!! RUDE! By the end of spring one side of the tree still had no leaves or branches, the other side looked like a few branches had died. I called and they gave me the lady who sold me the tree. She said to cut the dead branches off and it would be fine. I did and a few weeks later more branches would snap off. I called again and was told I must have planted it too deep. I took photos for them, it was planted right, must be too much water, or not enough water, or the soil wasn't good enough. They wouldn't ever admit they sold me a sickly tree that they knew there was something wrong with it. Fast forward a few years, their news letter says if you have questions just ask. So I emailed asking questions about mulch, how to prevent weeds over winter and the best time to fertilize. Danny emailed back and said he would call. I have the Home & Garden's ID on my phone but never got a call from them. I called them a week later asking for Danny and said he was going to call me. A girl said he was with a customer, but she would give him the message and have him call me. It's now been two months since he said he would call and hasn't. So I think their communication is terrible, they don't seem to care if they sell their customers bad plants, a lot of their plants are cheaper at Home Depot or Lowes and they yell and humiliate their employees in front of customers like they should be grateful they even have jobs. No way could I ever recommended The Home & Garden center to anyone.

Every time they see him, he greets them with the biggest smile and makes them feel welcomed and excited to be there. When my boys can't make it to a workshop, he is even kind enough to hold a couple of the projects for them so they don't miss out. That may seem like a small gesture, but to my boys, it means so much. My little guy can talk Mr. Kevin's ear off, and Kevin is always so patient and genuinely takes the time to listen to him. You can tell that he truly enjoys working with the kids and cares about making the workshops a fun and positive experience for everyone. Mr. Kevin, you may not always be told this, but what you do matters. You're creating happy memories, encouraging kids to learn and build, and giving them something to look forward to. My boys are always happy to see you, and that says everything. Thank you, Mr. Kevin, for being so patient, kind, welcoming, and wonderful with the kiddos. Home Depot is lucky to have you, and our family is lucky to have someone like you making these little moments so special.
