Stopped in for a quick bite with my wife while out and about. We have never been here and decided to give it a try. The host met us at the door and we were seated before the door went closed! Chips and salsa were on the table within minutes of being seated. Drink order was placed at the same time and drinks arrived within a few minutes. Ordered chori-queso and Polo Loco main course.. It all arrived within 10 minutes and was excellent!! Polo Loca was very tasty and the chicken was seasoned just right and very tender. Yum!!! My wife had a margarita and said it was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and asked us several times if we needed anything.. We'll be back when in the area. Thank you read more

Better than McDonalds.... We had a flavorless chicken enchilada with slightly sweet sauce, pork tamale that I couldn't finish due to the sweet flavor and bad texture, a pork carnita taco that wasn't bad, pollo Jalisco was ok with very little flavor on the chicken but the cheese made up for it and Guac that also had no flavor. Salsa was slightly spicy. Chips had a few stale ones in the bowl. read more

Had never been there before and will NEVER be back. Hardly any flavor to anything (including the salsa) and it was very pricey for how awful the food was!! So incredibly disappointed! read more

Wow this place is amazing! The veggie fajita was absolutely to die for! My only complaint is that it didn't say on the menu that there would be cheese in the beans as I had asked for no sour cream in order to make it vegan. Otherwise, though, everything was cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious! Our waiter was super friendly and had a great sense of humor as well! I'm sorry I don't remember his name!! read more

My roomie and I went here after he saw that Long John Silver didn't have the dining room open. Our server was great; very attentive and didn't make us wait for anything. The food, however, left something to be desired. I had a bean burrito and a cheese enchilada. They tasted OK but the beans in the burrito were way too runny and the cheese in the enchilada was just warm and not melted at all. The salsa had a bit of a metallic taste to it and the chips were fine. Not overly greasy like in a lot of places. My roommate got a beef taco but the meat was very bland (he had me taste it), almost as if there was no seasoning on it whatsoever. read more

Margaritas are strong and very tasty! Came back for lunch, since we just got margaritas to go yesterday! Staff is friendly and service is really good! Just a quick lunch but left feeling like family! read more

Well it was my fault for not paying attention...so just thought I'd warn others to do just that....PAY ATTENTION...about 2:00 pm ( lunch special) I had an Aroz Con Pollo and a 16 oz margarita...food was good marg was good bill came. I was kind of I. A hurry gave the guy my credit card...he brings back...I look at and was about $24 so I give $5 tip and sign for $29....then as I'm walking out, I'm thinking why was this $25 instead of $15....he just laughed said margarita was a 24 oz (it wasn't....I love Mexican and eat it a lot and know the difference) any way says the meal was $12...so it got rolled for a $10 spot....good food but don't let this happen to you.... Peace out read more

Where I live I would give this place three stars. There are a lot of great Mexican restaurants in the Chattanooga area. Here in Iowa, specifically Mount Pleasant, this place gets 4 stars because we drive 30 miles to have it. The menu can be a little hit and miss. I think you are safer going with a specialty dish than a combination. The fajitas and carnitas are very good. The strawberry margarita- frozen, is great in whatever size. We always come here at least once when I am visiting. I can't say if it is better than other Mexican restaurants in Burlington but it certainly blows the Mt. Pleasant ones away. read more

Casa Fiesta - Shrimp fajitas x 2 - Mexican Near Me - Burlington, Iowa

Sadly I think the positive reviews must have been written by staff. Our food had zero flavor. The steak was tough and knife was dull making it extremely hard to cut. Not a good experience at all. Oh and don't ask for more than (1) drink refill....that is an additional charge. Luckily we are traveling through because we would not revisit nor recommend. Only positive was our waitress was nice. read more

I've eaten at over a thousand Mexican restaurants in my life and this was the worst place I have ever been to. Margaritas were okay but the food was terrible. I had Carne Asada, the steak was tough, over cooked and not seasoned at all. I would have rather had Taco Bell and I despise Taco Bell. read more

How do you screw up nachos? Order them here, that's how. I ordered the high end nachos with chicken, beef, guacamole, etc to go. Got back to the hotel, no guacamole and just chicken, beef and a white cheese sauce. No lettuce, tomatoes or beans either. Should have heeded the low Yelp scores and gone somewhere else. Buffalo Wild Wings or Applebee's have nachos MUCH better than these - SAD. read more

The food was good, although the salsa was basically tomato sauce. The service was definitely lacking, we were checked on maybe three times our entire meal, once was after having been out of water for ten minutes straight. Definitely Mediocre as far as Mexican restaurants go. read more

Casa Fiesta - Was seated at an already dirty table with debris on the floor. - Mexican Near Me - Burlington, Iowa

Waitress was not friendly at all! Food arrived very fast but had no flavor at all. Margarita was horrible!

Would not reccomend to anyone first off its not casa Fiesta anymore its casa mexico, wait staff was very pushy, loud, and obnoxious not only was the wait staff signing loudly but also paying more attention to the younger girl customers and using foul language with other wait staff, food was sub-par and covered in grease and not to mention the old cilantro would give zero stars if i could read more

This place is shit servers are too pushy doesnt have anything good here if you dont want food they start pushing on you to order something

We were there about 9p.m. and didn't know they closed at 11p.m. until the man at the register(owner) mentioned it. It was 10:30p.m. when we paid and I left in tears. Our waiter and another waiter were having a Loud conversation in Spanish on how the f-ing fat people (pinché gordos) shouldn't come in so late and our waiter walking by saying pinché pinché gordos at us with a smile. Wow unbelievable never going back and hope this gets passed around. So sad that they think people who where born here don't understand them and can have a blatant disregard for human beings feelings. Crap staff. Tried to overcharge every ticket like really $55 for 1 adult and 1 child plate with soda. We will not ever be back and as for these folks so sad to see them behaving like this and hope this makes it around to thousands. *UPDATE Seen a few friends that have been there and having the same problems 3 years later. Still trying to add mystery charges to every ticket and still talking trash. Thanks guys for continuing to disappoint and set the bar as low and the employees that can't keep their mouth shut and just be honest. read more

Casa Fiesta - Newbie let's see what the talk is about - Mexican Near Me - Burlington, Iowa

This place is awful! I have tried it twice, and it is consistently terrible. The wait staff is rude, condescending, and purposely speaks Spanish as a way of insult. I didn't go there to practice Spanish lessons. The food is glop. It's flavorless, poorly presented, and in both cases, over cooked. Perhaps all of the faults I found would have been less noticeable had I drank a couple of margaritas. read more

Fast service and great food. Plus, on Wednesday you get $3 16oz margaritas. Can't beat that. The tamales are really good, as are the enchiladas. One of the better Mexican places I've been to since leaving Phoenix! If you happen to be staying at any of the 4 hotels that surround this place, I would certainly make the short walk over there instead of eating at whatever is open at the hotel. Overall if you're looking for authentic Mexican food and not Tex-Mex garbage, this is the place to go. I look forward to revisiting this place when I'm back in town again. read more

I will start this by saying it got a 2 only due to the attentive server. I've eaten at Casa Fiesta in the past and thought it was pretty good. However, this is no longer true. I agree with another Yelper that said they put lots of meat in their dishes. My chicken chimichanga had so much chicken, and it was actually decent meat... no chewy pieces. Much to my dismay, it did not have any flavor. My husband said the same about his burrito jalisco... no flavor and the meat was really watery. Then, for some sort of redemption, we got the churros. There wasn't even any cinnamon or sugar on them! WHAT?!?! How is that even possible? When trying just the churro on its own without all of the ice cream and other random stuff they put with it, they didn't have any flavor other than slightly sweetened, fried dough. *sigh* So begins our quest for decent Mexican food in Iowa. read more

I went to this place to eat because it looks like Authentic Mexican food, but in reality it is more similar to Taco Bell, without flavor, the sauce does not sting, the tacos fall apart before you can eat them. read more

Called to order food today. For one here is how the conversation went!! Casa: Hello Casa Fiesta Me: Yes I would like to place an order to be picked up. Casa: Ok Me: I would like ...(Interrupted) Casa: HOLD ON.... ( Paused for a good 3 minutes) Casa: WHAT DO YOU WANT... I then placed my order and he hung up. Never took my name and never gave me a time... Food was ok. I ordered the "green" salsa and never got it. Tacos ok, chips ok and rice was ok... Will I be back, Not sure! read more

Going in I in no ways expected to get real mexican. Going out I indeed had not eaten real mexican rather the american mexican so (unfortunately) prevalent here in the states. But like I said, it was what I was expecting and for that they earn there three starts for providing a solid meal. The pork in the burrito was flavorful and moist and they unmexican salsa and chips served to christen the meal were very good. If the standard american-mexican fare is what you are craving, this place will likely deliver. read more

They serve the BEST Mexican food in town. DELICIOUS.

I enjoy cash fiesta quite a bit. I try to stay away from anything generically Mexican (beef enchilada, burrito, taco, etc). So at Casa I opted for the shrimp ala diabla. This was a great choice! Since ordering it here a few times I've had it at several different Mexican places, even one higher class joint, and none compare. Obviously the shrimp isn't fresh, but I know that before ordering. The salsa is alright, probably the best in town, but that isn't saying much. Their margarita are good, if you get the house. DONT EVER get the top shelf. More expensive and is probably one of the absolute worst margaritas I've ever had. This is probably the best all around generic Mexican in Burlington ( there is no authentic here). The best margaritas are found at another place in town, though. I'm giving this four stars solely based on the fact that it is in Burlington. If it were in any other town, with any competition worth a crap, it would be closer to two stars. Also, the owner (I'm assuming) who always is at the payment counter - Short guy with short hair, looks like a Mexican mobster - is an absolute ass. Just prepare yourself for that going in. read more

I eat here from time to time and the cheese dip with chips is probably the best part for me! I'm a picky eater but most places still offer good flavorful tacos without lettuce and the whole nine yards. The tacos and burritos here have no flavor, its just meat with seemingly no sauce or any kind of seasoning. The cheese is probably the saving point. If you're a picky eater like me you would probably order a plain taco, just meat and cheese, and other places like taco bell or taco johns (fast food places) would offer seasoning and good food. The atmosphere is another good point, feels like an authentic Mexican restaurant. read more

This was our first trip here, and I was definitely underwhelmed with the experience. Everything was just barely mediocre. The chips were stale, and that was disappointing, however the salsa was good. The food was not terrible, but that is the best thing I could say about it. Service was about average. I probably wouldn't return voluntarily...unless I was REALLY hungry, and someone else was picking up the tab;) read more

Lived in TX for many years and am new to the area. We wanted some Mexican food so thought we'd try this place since was near where we were shopping. Service was OK, but the food was bland. The Queso was fairly decent however. Will try someplace else next time. read more

If I could give zero stars I would..... A group of friends usually go in on Wednesdays for the Margarita deals. We don't make a mess, spend quite a bit of money, and tip well. Service has been going down hill lately and our most recent encounter might have been the last straw. We recently went in on a Friday for a friends Birthday. When we got there, NO one acknowledged that we were waiting ( a group of 6). They were very busy, but in the 10 minutes we stood there, not one person asked us how many or told us how long the wait would be. We finally got the attention of a waiter who asked us how many and we told him and knew it would be a wait for our party as all the large tables were already taken. After finally being seated, no waiter came by for 20min. We waited patiently while other customers were noticing that they got their food/drinks and they came in after us. So one customer who was sitting by the window to the cashier, let the owner know that we had been waiting. His response to the customer was "You've got your stuff right?. Then don't worry about it." He responded that he was just letting someone know, that he too works in the food industry so he understands. He was then told again to not worry about it. Finally a waiter came by and took a drink order. About 10 min later he brought our drinks out and set the tray on an adjacent table for us to get ourselves. We waited even longer to try to get food. Other tables were getting food and drinks promptly so I'm not sure why it was taking so long for us. As I said before, we were being pretty patient while waiting. When all was said and done, My bill was 3 drinks......the owner tried to charge me $28 for that round of drinks. Which was far from correct. I told him exactly what we had SEVERAL times so he could ring them up correctly all the while being clearly pissed off. He said that was not what our ticket said. I told him again what we had and told him if he had a problem with it to get the waiter. He was trying to charge us for food that we never ordered in the first place. All in all this was by far, the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It used to be a fun place to go and eat/drink and catch up with friends. I am pretty sure we will be finding a new hangout. read more

The appetizer chips actually tasted like corn and the salsa had an entertaining aftertaste, but the entree was drenched in salt.

After today's horrible experience of having an entire glass of water dumped on my 3 year old and lack of response or apology I am done with this place. The food is mediocre at best. The service is terrible if your a woman the one server we ALWAYS get ignores me and only addresses my husband. I ask for things and they never come. My husband asks and it shows up immediately. I'm tired of the sexist treatment and will no longer patronize such a place. Nor will I allow them to treat my 3 year old in such a manner. No apology, no help, just "it happens". read more

After going there regularly for quite a while I started paying attention to how much they were charging me after hearing of others being overcharged. Two out of three times they overcharged me by $8 - $10 and when brought to the owners attention, he stated "it doesn't happen very often." No apologies, just excuses and poor service. read more

Am here on a Tuesday evening. The tequila sunrise is the drink special. I think it's made with Sunny D instead of OJ. The chimi is supposed to be deep fried...mine looks like a burrito. They.ve forgotten to make my to-go order, and "accidentally" hung up on me before, but these guys crank out quality Mexican food like it's going out of style, which it obviously isn't when you look at the crowds there at lunch and weekends. Solid wait staff and really good food, in my frequent trips there. For a while, I ordered chiles rellenos every day for take out. Only dined in a few times because of the crowds, but servers busted ass to give good service. read more

Last night was the first and last time we will go to this restaurant. The food wasn't bad, but the service and drinks were horrible. The margaritas (my husband and I had different kinds) tasted like dish water with a splash of moonshine. I had to ask for water 5 TIMES and each time I was told "yeah, yeah, it's coming" they served my husband's food and I had to ask for mine when 10 minutes later it still hadn't come. Worst service I have ever experienced. We also ordered something to take and when we got home, realized they only had done half the order. Sounds like it was once a great place but isn't that way any longer. read more

Good quick Mexican food and good chips and salsa. They are very quick on prep time also.
