We met inside where Bonnie checked us in real quick. Then we got a tour with Bill. He is sooo super friendly and kind. Just a genuinely nice host. Some people act nice but it is professionally cordial. I didn't feel that with Bill, or Bonnie. (Sorry don't mean to leave her out ) Bill gave us great recommendations for wineries and we were able to wine taste with fee waived at 2 wineries we visited. We also got discounts on wine! The places were so chill and relaxing. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing, just what we wanted. I texted Bonnie a few times and she always got back to me super fast. Bonnie also is a wonderful baker and she made a super nice breakfast each day. Bill would refill your OJ and tell you to have a seat as he got coffee refills. When Bonnie was done cooking she came out and then I got to pick her brain about our meals. I love talking food . She was really nice as well and easy to talk to. They are literally around the corner from Abels Farms and are right in the heart of apple hill. Both wineries were no more than a mile away. Rooms are decorated very cute, with different themed rooms. All the amenities are there. Robes and slippers in the closet, a hot tub in a gazebo, and the room was nicely renovated with quality materials used. Super great stay and I recommend them highly.

This place was green ! In the summer!! Green! Tall trees and nice decent camping spots! All my friends had fun! We did tubbing and kids played in water on the shore/ shallow area. We bbq on the edge on the river . It was a very memorable Fourth of July weekend to remember!! Can't wait to go back! They have hot showers and restrooms!! They do have bugs . No biggie lol Did I mention. They have RV spots , tent spots , and small cabins! Love it!!! Plus I love walking up to their berry muffins fresh and toasty! Their berries are grown there ! My husband uses a mobile scooter to get around. When the elevator came is was grossly uneven with the landing. The woman who check us in showed us a trick to get it flesh so he could get on & off. Not horrible, but time consuming. We got to our room, it's been slightly updated since the 1800's. The owner has not flipped the switch to allow AC. We were not told this so I set the AC to cool only to find out I had turned the heater on!! I couldn't get the window open at first. When I finally did I realized there was no screen! It's too old and dated for my liking. The bathroom floor is not even and slants terribly. Next time I will hunt down a different hotel for sure!.

I also loved that check-in is at 2:00 (instead of the increasingly common 4:00!), and the electronic check-in was incredibly easy - no need to meet anyone, just use the provided code to access your cabin. They've also put a lot of thought into the property. There's a really nice common area with chairs, a fire pit, and games, and the cabins have TV and Wi-Fi. The only downside was the cooling unit in our cabin (unit #7). It worked great when we first arrived on a very warm day, but later started making a terrible squealing noise and stopped cooling properly, so we had to turn it off. The cabin got pretty warm, and unfortunately only one of the windows had a screen, so opening the others would have meant inviting all the local bugs in to spend the night with us. Other than that, we really liked Miners Camp and thought it was a charming, thoughtfully put-together little place. We'd definitely stay again - hopefully with a happy cooling unit next time!

I know there are super luxury resort R.V. parks out there, but I grew up going mostly to state and regional parks tent camping. We just bought a new Travel trailer, so first time not tent camping, we go about 3 or 4 times a year tent camping. It was on par with the campgrounds we go to in the Tahoe area, but with a few extras like the heated pool, and the kid"s clubhouse. My 9 year old daughter loved that place, making all kinds of arts and crafts with the art teacher on staff. Also, she recently got into fishing so the pond was a nice extra. We used this place as a base camp for our usual Tahoe activities, and spent a day at our favorite Baldwin Beach. It was nice to take a free hot shower instead of tokens at the state parks. Like I said, didn't seem much different than what we are used to, so no complaints. We enjoyed the affordable food options at the ghost town, especially after getting back from Tahoe, and not feeling like cooking. As we continue our new R.V. life, I'm sure we will get to see the more upscale places, but this place was fine for our current needs. Reminded me of my Science Camp days in school. Beautiful woods and hiking trails out in nature.

Although they do have a small ghost town, ice shop and food you can enjoy. They also have horses you can ride, I believe some sort of kids club and a pool. The bathrooms looked like they needed a little updating. In my opinion the property needed to have a little up dated. They also have a few cabins, tent camping and RV camping. The Ghost Ranch also does a presentation to buy into their "" timeshare. We however did not p purchase it. The staff is amazing as we pulled up April was happy to help us with what ever we needed. Brain did an amazing job talk to us about the presentation for the time share but it was just not for us. If you have kids this maybe a place to check out. It just wasn't a place for us.

Our kids (ages 3 and 5) had an absolute blast. They loved riding their bikes around the property, swimming in the pool, playing mini golf, feeding the goats, fishing in the private pond, and riding the train. There were so many activities that we never ran out of things to do. If you're a parent looking for a family-friendly campground, this is a great choice. The campground does receive some comments about being close to the freeway, but honestly, it didn't bother us much at all. We barely noticed it because we were having so much fun enjoying everything the property has to offer. I also really appreciated the text reminders about the activities and events happening throughout our stay. It made it easy to plan our day and ensured we didn't miss out on anything. We made some wonderful family memories here and will definitely be back for another visit!

We booked this site last minute so that we…read morecould do some white water rafting research and float around in the river which was about 30 minutes from the site. After checking out the South Fork rapids we then went over to North Beach and floated around while we watched all the rafters go by. The hosts, Troy and Janna, were very accommodating and also very friendly. We booked site 5 online and when we got there we asked them if we picked a good site. They said yes, but that site 6 would be better for this weekend because we wouldn't have anyone directly next to us so they switched us to 6. All the sites are spacious with shade and pretty level. (I will add that they did lay some gravel at each site but the sites are all dirt for the most part so it does get dusty. We travel with Astro turf mats so we laid those down and it did a good job mitigating the dust.) Troy and Janna have owned the park for a couple of years now and have put so much work in to it to making it a nice RV Park where people will want to be returning guests. They have an awesome bar area where they serve cold beer and wine. On Friday nights they grill burgers and on Saturdays they make pizzas. So if you don't want to cook, they'll cook for you! They've built a stage in the hang out area and every Saturday night they have live music!! The band last night was great. We hung out at the bar for a few drinks. Met some other campsite guests who were all friendly to chat with, and then we went and sat in front of the stage and enjoyed the music. They've got some picnic tables in front of the stage but we just brought our own chairs. They've also got a pool table, bocci ball, darts and other fun games to enjoy. This was our first time visiting this campsite and we'll definitely be returning. Thanks Troy and Janna for making our first visit a fun and memorable one. We'll be back soon to drink your cold beer and enjoy some live music!
