They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Salsa and chips were served immediately and all three salsas were very good. I had the grilled fish filet, tortillas, with a few sautéed vegetables on top. The fish was a little greasy and could have used a bit more seasoning, but it was very good. One friend had a fish taco and a shrimp taco. The third order was from the combination menu: taco, enchilada, and chile relleno. That's what I will order next time and there will be a next time. All the meals came with smooth, smoky refried beans and perfect rice. We were stuffed until the owner came by to tease us about dessert. She offered several delightful choices but when she got to the apple chimichanga, we were had. It was crispy and covered in cinnamon and sugar and arrived with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and fresh blueberries. We split it three ways and it was heaven.

I am a tortilla soup lover, and have been on the search for one similar to one at the old restaurant Terra Cotta, since forever. I've yet to find a really good one. I will say, this one was pretty good, and I would order it again, though I think the chicken could be more flavorful. It's a large container they give you, and the chunks of chicken were also pretty large. I did break them into smaller pieces myself. The Toritos were 10/10 , no notes!

I have honestly never had a corn tamale as good as that one and I've lived here most of my life. The chicken enchilada was so incredibly well seasoned with just enough cheese on top to add a little extra punch along with the Crema, and all the other flavors. Tortilla bread was perfectly balanced with the meat, tasting so good you didn't eat any of the toppings. But the toppings turned it into one heck of an adventure of flavor. Yes I know. I'm waxing a little philosophically here, but the food really did impress the hell out of us. Service was great, food was great, presentation was great, environment is great we recommend coming here and we will be back. Price wise for an upscale Mexican restaurant this one's right in line around $16-$20 a plate foremost dishes. Of course you can spend more, of course you can spend less. Overall the food is fairly consistent and is comparable to Filiberto's or other taco shop restaurants. The menu is dizzzyingly complex with some stores offering specialty items I don't see elsewhere (tamales, menudo, posole, albondigas), but the service at some is horrific and as a result I won't return to them. Specifically, the Nico's at Continental Ranch, is terrible which given the fact that there are at least two Filiberto's and as many as five or six other Mexican food venues within 3 miles makes it surprising. Regardless, my issues are that they tack on high percentage credit card pricing per item on their already high prices, which is not explained very well other than a small sign at the register. Their service is caustic, snide and insulting. I will not go back to that location, and am not ever going out of my way to have Nicos from any location in the future.

I've never looked back and I've only been disappointed when that night fell on one of the days that they're closed. Leo's is in my top 3 Mexican restaurants in Tucson. The atmosphere is colorful & cozy and the service is attentive - even personal once you've been a few times. My most favorite meal is Mole de Gallina (poached chicken breast in cocoa/red sauce). I really love Mole sauce and Leo absolutely nails the rich flavor. Carne seca, carne asada, chile rellenos, tamales, crisp tacos, enchiladas, calabacitas, rice, beans, chips with spicy/tasty salsa - everything I've had over the years has been ridiculously good. Again, I wasn't there in person to say something and didn't end up complaining on the app since it was still yummy, just not what I actually ordered. It was a nice treat to wash down the hot dog.
