He is charismatic, pleasant, knowledgeable, obviously has a lot of experience under his belt, helpful, practical, and on the same wave length agreeing with me that the less medication, the better. But as soon as I had something of a serious nature for the first time in my life, he for some reason is not able to accept my complaints as valid. And he breaks one of the rules of doctoring which is to believe the patient's complaints! He has actually for the past seven months been denying that what I describe as my symptoms are happening! This is the logical extension of his sunny disposition. I remember now that he has often been that way. I once told him that after wearing a heart monitor for 13 days, the result was first degree heart block. He said, "Oh, that's nothing!" My stepdaughter told him he had a spot on her lung of 0.5 centimeter. He said, "Oh, that's nothing!" And I remember how in past years, I always leave his office feeling better than when I came. But the day came seven months when I presented with a serious condition, and he has persisted and persisted since in saying, "Oh, that's nothing. It's all in your mind." (He has actually told me that the main thing wrong with me is my mind. I learned that that is called "gaslighting.") And I know that isn't true, and I know he is wrong. And if this same thing happens to you, you should be apprised that that is the day you must make a decision--whether to continue to put yourself in danger or to part ways.

The staff and office set up prior to seeing the doctor is the most unsanitary experience ever witnessed. Especially during this pandemic. The same cramped room used to take money and handle phone calls is the same for pre screening. The staff took blood without wearing gloves. Not to mention after prepping my arm with alcohol, TOUCHED THE SAME SPOT WITH HER UNGLOVED THUMB. All of this was also done while talking on the office phone and touching her own cellphone. I've gone through a phlebotomy course and know that everything done was incorrect. This technician did not wash her hands between patients nor sanitize the desk. Not to menton, privacy was at zero as people were coming in to talk to her. I understand being spread thin, but this was paper. Dr. A. Andrade, daughter of J. Andrade, completed the visit. Dr. Attoe was referred to me by a trusted friend so I would have never thought I had to write such…read morean upsetting review. I went to Dr. Attoe for a checkup plus a consultancy on a series of symptoms including chronic fatigue and irregular period. She seemed such a decent well prepared lady and I would have never expected to experience what I am about to write. For the fatigue part, I thought I was simply suffering from iron deficiency (which I had in the past). Dr. Attoe suggested to get that checked, together with the thyroid and the other routine check-ups. After around 10 days, motivated by worsened symptoms, I call in to ask if there were any news. So Dr. Attoe calls me back saying that actually my analysis (including cholesterol, thyroid, and all the rest) were all good and within the norms. So, when I asked her then what was her suggestion to lessen my symptoms, she suggested that life in NY is stressful and that many patients complaint about fatigue (I think she said roughly 20%). She also added to go more out to the park and enjoy the day. I was somewhat confused because I have lived in NY for 7 years, I am used to a hardworking life (full of stresses) yet never had I felt that way. As a daughter of an MD I tend to trust doctors and their expertise though I knew something wasn't write with her suggestion. And sure enough, around one week later I receive the print out of my analysis and turns out that my analysis are NOT ok. My ranges for ALT (which are produced by the liver) are higher than the norm and so are two other values, including cholesterol levels. I think that what might have happened is that Dr. Attoe read someone's else analysis over the phone. If this weren't enough I called in twice to ask to kindly speak to the doctor and never got called back (although I explained what the issue was). Another doctor that I consulted suggested to investigate further the liver as that could explain my strong fatigue. To sum, I would suggest Dr. Attoe that perhaps she should go less to the park and concentrate more on her patients!

Checking in took a bit of time because there was one receptionist but that's nothing out of the ordinary. She was very nice and checked me in with a smile within (8) minutes. I was called within (4) minutes to see the nurse who proceeded to take my vitals and asked me to wait for Dr Grossman. I waited long enough (30 minutes) that I worried I may have been forgotten. When Dr Grossman walked in, all my concerns dissipated. Here was a very pleasant gentleman who immediately put me at ease with a number of questions deriving my social history (without my ever realizing this was the purpose of the questioning as I was instead wondering why he was being so nice to me lol). I think he took an excellent medical history and did a very thorough job of "getting me in the books" as a first time patient. He asked after not only my symptoms - but also my concerns. He performed a physical exam. He was incredibly kind and patient even though I am one of those patients who comes in rarely and has multiple concerns at the same time. He went above and beyond and made sure he addressed everything - advising me on what I can do next time to address further concerns. You might be concerned about wait times but consider it from my perspective: Here's a physician taking his time and performing a thorough examination of you while he's there with you. He's taking the time to listen to all of your concerns - suggesting further testing if necessary - and coming back to wrap things up with you at the end. Total gentleman; Class act; Excellent and highly competent physician. I found it notable that X-Ray facilities are in house - literally just a walk around the hallway. I was in and out of radiology within (6) minutes. It can take 10 minutes just to catch an elevator at a hospital! Again - wood paneling and wooden changing room doors and wooden lockers; purple trim everywhere. They should use NYU wood paneling and purple trim in every corporate office in the country to increase productivity and satisfaction.

She was great with our newly diagnosed Asthmatic 3 -year-old. The only downfall was the wait. We were new patients, appointment was for 2:30 and we were not seen until 6:30, left the office at 7. Also she's only in the office on Mon,Weds,Fri from 1-7. It was a little discouraging and if the MD and MA weren't so nice we definitely would have just walked out. Next time I'll just have to make an appointment for the very 1st one of the day.

Academic pedigree and Accolades, Bed side manner, attentiveness, appearance of genuine concern, availability, and quality of advice are all better than I have had most anywhere. The most I have waited for an appointment was 30 minutes except when it was a last minute and i waited for the next open spot which was about an hour wait.
