Polite owners, so I hate to leave this review but after about 4 visits, I need to. The portions here are very skimpy. I'm not one of those people who expects large portions, but the soft serve ice cream didn't even touch the insides of the cup. And they need to thoroughly mix the flavors before serving. My pistachio ice cream was dark green in some spots and solid white in others. (It was a bad reminder of all of the artificial coloring in the ice cream.) I noticed in the reviews that other Carvel locations are more generous with their portions, so I will drive the extra distance and go there instead. read more

My husband and I had our wedding cake made by the Selden Carvel and it did not disappoint. We aren't big cake people but we love us a good Carvel ice cream cake. We met with the owner Cheryl about our wedding cake, and she was simply fantastic. She was excited to be part of our big day and had so many ideas for us. Cheryl is truly so kind, friendly, and enjoys what she does. Our wedding cake was not only beautiful but also DELICIOUS. Had an opportunity to visit this quaint Carvels with my two Nephews that had never been treated to an Ice Cream Sundae!?!!! Soooo, found this one, and boy am I glad I did. The young man that was in there was so patient, and even showed me the various new flavors, i.e . Pistachio, which is one of my favorites. He took his time with the boys explaining the items, and also how Wednesday was the big 2 for one Sundae deal. We talked some more, even speaking with a Gentleman that had recently lost his Wife and moved from Florida at his kid's urging. He seemed a little down, and hopefully we perked him up a little, at least knowing that there is Kindness everywhere. Oh yeah, back to the Carvel Shop... Came here on a hot day for some ice cream. They did have a huge selection of stuff but nothing looked super appetizing so we ended up with the soft serve. They advertise that they make 16 flavors but i only notice like 5 available. Second time i came here and they rip you off, putting half the toppings in the carvelanch and charging you for a small cone when its only two tiers, kids size. aweful!! I ordered a hot fudge sundae w/ caramel sauce and colored sprinkles.. What I got was milk w/ a sprinkle and a glob of hot fudge - all for the low price of 8 and change.. wtf! I almost told her to keep it, especially since I really came in for butter pecan, but found cases of black holes staring back at me where tubs of ice cream should be - but she was super nice and I am a sucker.
