The customer service I experienced during my visit here well exceeded the actual quality of the ice cream they offer. Carvel is a staple in the community, just as iconic as TCBY was when I was growing up as a child. I had a craving for something sweet after leaving lunch with a friend and decided to stop in here to grab a sweet treat. Initially, I was contemplating just grabbing one of their ice cream sandwiches and then changed my mind when I saw some of the new soft serve flavors that they have to offer. These flavors included a toasted marshmallow flavor and a pistachio flavor. I am a huge pistachio fan so I wanted to give that a try. There was one other group of guest ordering before me (a father and son), and I could tell they were pre-ordering a birthday cake, so I waited off to the side patiently and just scanned the flavors of ice cream. The young lady working the counter did such a fantastic job of providing them with exceptional customer service during this process, so much to the extent that she actually came from behind the counter to help them select the details for the young boys birthday cake. I could tell she was doing her best to wrap up their order so that she could attend to me next. As I was still standing in front of the ice cream case waiting to be helped, the son came back to order ice cream too. He walked right in front of me and literally stepped on me so he could look at the flavors. The father said nothing and didn't correct him or apologize. However, when this father and son left the establishment, that same employee went above and beyond to apologize for their behavior, and told me that she wished she could've said something in the moment because she understood how disrespectful that situation was. I never expect employees to get confrontational with other guests on behalf of a guest, but just hearing the apology made me feel seen and appreciative of her in that moment. Finally able to attend to me, the kind employee allowed me to sample the new flavors I was interested in and after hard cotemplation I settled on soft serve vanilla on a chocolate cookie crumb cone. Delicious! The toasted marshmallow was my favorite, but the flavor is way too rich to eat a full scoop of. The pistachio, which I expected to be my favorite, actually tasted like cherry and was quite disappointing. read more

What a nice surprise. Accidentally stumbled on this location and didn't even know we had a Carvel in Royal Palm Beach. The shop is spotless completely stocked with anything you could want with ice cream. They have the nicest Carvel cakes I've ever seen including one with a little guy fishing. The one girl who helped us is named Liyah. What a delight! She let us sample a few ice cream's without giving us that attitude and she prepared our Sundays and cones to perfection. Even though she was in the store by herself and could've been on the phone she never stop working, making cones and cleaning the place up. I was super excited to see an actual Carvel store. The closest thing I can get to Carvel at home are the premade cakes at Winn Dixie. It's been almost 30 years since I've eaten Carvel, so I had to get a briefing as to what items they now serve. I was all about their famous Crunchies! The girl that was on staff was very sweet and patient with me. I asked for a recommendation, and she went thru all the options. Fantastic service. Amazing management and very nice and kind staff. 1. I loved the service. The manager was very nice and kind to me and my family. He was from Long Island and since that's where me and my family are from so we naturally had a connection. His entire staff was also very friendly. They told jokes and were very sociable. 2. The ice cream was very good. There were cakes were entertaining to look at: a poop emoji , a minion and Olaf from frozen. Very funny. The place was very clean and looked brand new. Very sanitary and didn't feel gross like many other Carvel chains. Because of the fantastic, 10/10 service and the fun and entertaining cakes and good ice cream, I found this place very fun. This is the 3rd cake we ordered that was absolutely horrible! Not to mention the customer service or more like the lack there of, was appalling. Do yourself a favor and drive to Haverhill & Okeechobee or down to store on Hypoluxo in LW to buy ice cream or order a cake. The worst offender is the store manager. They should also clean the store. I ordered through Door Dash. Half my order was missing. I called the store, someone answered, put me on hold and never came back to the phone. I called again and was put on hold without a greeting. After being forgotten again, I called back and before she could put me on hold, i stated my concern. She was very upset and said there was only 2 people working and a line out of the door. My wife & I went to the Carvel on Thursday night in the Crestwood Square Shopping Center. When we get home & my wife takes a scoop of her ice cream & finds a sheet metal screw inside the middle of it. OMG. How disgusting & scary. We call them up to tell them our concerns & they ask if we want to come back for another ice cream-OMG NO. She then asked if I want a credit on our next visit-OMG-NO. We won't go back & ask for a credit on our original purchase. We asked for the store manager who was not there which is understandable. I called today & she was not there & left a message stating my concerns. No return phone call. I called when I got home from work, & of course the store manager is not there. When is this store manager ever there? I asked for the owners name, phone number, & email address. The employee did not know the last name, did not know a business phone number, but did give me the email address. They didn't seem concerned that they served a FOREIGN OBJECT in their ice cream. My wife & I will never go back & just feel their lack of concern for their customers & consumers for serving SAFE FOOD. Keep this in mind next time you go out for ice cream; or go to this particular CARVEL. I'm hoping someone from Carvel contacts me regarding this situation because I expect that would have a visit from the State of Florida Health Inspectors-DBPR to make sure the food they are serving in our community is safe & OMG if my wife swallowed it, or if someone has a young child that swallowed a metal screw This store is in a small community of Royal Palm Beach which is very close knit with several closed groups on social media sites. By the time; Carvel reads this sad pathetic excuse for food, & service without regard for consumer safety-many other residents in our area will spread the word of this poor experience. read more

I just bought a cup of rum raisin ice cream from Carvel. This was the worst ice cream ever. The ice cream was so icy and not creamy at all. It tastes like an ice cream that's melted and then freezes over again. When I called the owner, he told me to just put it in the microwave. Unbelievable!
