I've been coming to this place since I was a little girl. Almost every birthday cake is from here! I was even able to find them in supermarkets in California!! That is how much I love Carvel!!! This is a small store but always very clean and employees are super sweet. They have weekly specials. Like on Wednesdays they have a buy one get one free! I definitely a dasher fan!!! That cake mix crumble is to die for!! The cakes are great for parties and they have tons of different sizes! Great for date night as you can sit outside!! read more

I love coming to this carvel. The server always loads up my carvalanche with extra Oreos and sprinkles! Idk what it is but it always comes out amazing. The store is small no place to sit and eat the ice cream. I don't mind it I'm sure some people like to sit and eat their ice cream read more

I've aways found the Carvel in Kendall to be a great place to eat hands down the best ice cream place in the area. Great prices and deals 5 days week although I wasnt told about the Dasher deal on Monday. Now worries though. I ordered their new Biscof Cookie Sunday Dasher. Best Sunday I've had in while. New favorite Biscoff Cookie Soft Serve Ice Cream layered with Biscoff Carvel Crunchies™, and caramel swirls topped with whipped cream. **mouth watering** read more

I went yo get coconut ice cream I been to Carvel for years this counter grl so rude I will never go back I had the Dulce de leche

Carvel is a childhood staple, you can't go wrong here. There's vegan options which is a plus. The store would benefit from a little facelift as it's outdated, however the times I've been there the store is clean. read more

It's a family tradition of mine to get the Carvel birthday ice cream cake every year for our bdays, this time I wanted to get it slightly customized. I went in-person to this shop and spoke to an older gentleman who noted down my custom cake order and made sure to provide very specific descriptions. We even provided the cake maker a photo reference of how I wanted the lettering format to make sure it was crystal clear and he said it was very easy and simple. For reference, I asked for a white heart shaped cake with white trim and black lettering (I requested the lettering to be in cursive and it was on the written order ticket). Unfortunately they did not deliver and the letters where in regular format, so it ruined the whole look of the cake. The lady that was attending in the front was not very helpful and didn't try to find a resolution either. I was very excited and felt the order was simple enough but expectations fell short. Not sure if I would recommend custom cake orders from here based on this experience. read more

I am a massive ice cream cake fan. So when my birthday came up, all I wanted was an ice cream cake. Strangely, for such a hot place, there aren't many options for ice cream cakes in Miami. No one could get it done for us, so we went with our solid, dependable source for ice cream cakes - Carvel. They were able to process our custom order on short notice no problem and delivered the goods, having it ready for pick up on the day and time that they promised. The cake was excellent. I love Carvel cakes: never trendy with wild and crazy flavors, but always reliable. That whipped frosting and chocolate crunchy layer in the middle are perfect. The staff was friendly, too. read more

I went there with a coupon for that specific location. It was a buy one get one for a simple soft served ice cream sundae. I was met by an elderly man and he didn't listen to me when I said I had a coupon and without missing a beat very annoyed asked me "do you know what day it is?" --"Sunday" and he then re-directed my attention to a sign behind me and said "there's no specials on Sunday" When I presented it to the worker he was very reluctant to accept it and frankly seemed annoyed with our whole interaction which at this point so was I. When it came time to pay though he said he would accept the coupon he charged me full price. I paid it regardless because I wasn't going to argue over four dollars and make this even more uncomfortable than it was already but nevertheless I don't plan on going there ever again. read more

Carvel - a bowl of ice cream with a spoon in it - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Miami, Florida

If it ain't a Carvel Ice Cream Cake, then it ain't a birthday party. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is. I didn't grow up well off, but on birthdays, my parents made sure that my sisters and I had a Carvel cake to celebrate. There's just nothing like it. Sure my tastes have evolved since my elementary school days, but one thing is constant; my love for Carvel. I stopped in with my GF for a sweet treat after dinner. There were people enjoying their purchase at outdoor tables at the side of the store. The store itself was the smallest I've ever been to. But they offered all of the usual suspects. I ordered a Vanilla Flying Saucer and my GF ordered a waffle cone with two scoops of Birthday Cake ice cream. She had the ice cream dipped in chocolate crunchies to complete the experience. It wasn't her birthday, but she sure was celebrating like it was. I had a bite, and it was awesome. Carvel, you're so good... read more

This review is not geared towards the quality of the ice cream, it's actually very delicious. This one star review is towards the lack of professionalism from the staff. We made an order through Uber Eats and received it not only extremely late but with missing items as well. When we contacted the location they "didn't know what we were talking about" and placed us on hold for a long time. We eventually hung up and called back, they were extremely rude and just insisted on "providing a refund" within days instead of making the order right. Very disappointed with the staff, will not be ordering or coming into this store again! read more

Favorite place to get a hot fudge sundae! On Wednesday's they do buy one get one sundaes and it's definitely worth it! The small is HUGE and they're not expensive at all! Plus it's even better that you're getting two sundaes for the price of one! The workers are very nice and helpful. There are even two little tables to sit outside if you want to stop and enjoy your ice cream. read more

I never had a bad experience with carvel until Sunday evening, my husband ordered 2 ice creams from me and one for him. I wanted to order a cake for my boyfriends birthday with his favourite anime character on it but had never ordered with Carvel before. I called the store ahead of time to ask questions about dimensions and requirements for the photo because i wanted it to cover the whole cake and didn't want to mess up. The guy who answered was very short, didnt answer any questions and rudely said "well, how big is the picture you have lady". I hung up and e-mailed over the picture and picked up the cake today and i'm SUPER disappointed that i started crying at the store. The picture does not cover the whole cake like i asked, it's super small, it's crooked, not centered and the border lines should be red, not orange. It didn't even look like they took the time to read my message or have any care when they printed the picture. Even the frosting layer on top has bubbles that are starting to form on the top of the cake. I was upset and the people working pretty much said there was nothing that could be done because it was already paid for and there was no time to make another. SO UPSET. First time ordering from Carvel because it's his favorite but after this experience i'm not sure i'll be coming back. read more

This tiny little carvel location is tucked right behind the McDonalds and has been there for as long as we've been in Florida, about 15 yrs. it seems to be family owned because I always see the same two gentlemen. They're very polite, quick and friendly. Almost every time we visit they let us try a bunch of flavors. Two days ago the younger gentleman recommended the Nutella chocolate... needless to say it was so yummy we went back yesterday and tried the soft serve version. Of course I added pineapple and a crap ton of sprinkles because you didn't really have an ice cream cone unless it was covered in sprinkles is my motto. Will definitely be back! read more

If you work at a company one should know how to use a gift card from such company. I was questioned as to when i purchased my gift card, where i purchased it from almost as if i was being interrogated. It took two individuals to figure out how to NOT use it as a form of payment. I then used my debit card to pay and the gentleman said to his coworker "let's see if this one works". I beg your pardon? just because you lack the ability to use your systems does not make me some sort of valueless customer. I have always gone here for holiday cakes and such, I will NEVER return after today's experience. It's called Customer Service, i hope your hiring sign brings in some individuals with such experience. read more

Great experience from start to finish. I ordered the picture cake for my son's birthday. It was a super easy order over the phone. After a night out for drinks and dinner, something was missing when I saw Carvel. I remember coming to this same Carvel since I was in high school back in the 90's. Pulled in with the BF and suddenly those happy memories of ice cream cones, laughter, and friends came rushing back. The cones where just as I remembered them, creamy, cold, and oh sooooo satisfying. Want a tasty treat that will build memories for years? This is the place to stop. read more

Can't go wrong with Carvel! I came here on a Friday afternoon to satisfy a sweets craving. The young girl behind the counter was very kind and helpful. She let me sample a few flavors and she gave a couple suggestions as well. They have a variety of ice cream flavors as well as cakes and some other desserts. I ended up getting a milkshake with coconut and cookie butter ice cream. Not the best ice cream or milkshake that I've had but it was a nice, subtle, sweet and cream flavor that hit the spot! read more

What used to be a bi-weekly tradition of an arsenal of chocolate-hardened ice cream cones, has slowly died into a nightmare of displeasing flavor. They've sacrificed quality to stay afloat, and as a consequence, have found their reputation as amazing ice cream shop, dwindle down to a below-average store. Now over-shadowed, by new ice cream shops, they seem to have let down their faith in their brand. It's ok to buy an ice cream cake here, (they still at least know how to keep making them good), but for the cones, it's a no-go. read more

The customer service hear sucks so bad! I won't ever come here again. I asked the guy in the counter for the ice cream that goes inside the carvel cakes I think it's called volcano crunch. Well after walking to my car and having a few spoons. I noticed this did not taste like the ice cream I usually order. It tasted old like smoggy and it just wasn't appealing. So I walked back and asked him to give me another flavor and that's when the attitude started. And he couldn't hand me the scoop he looked away and slid the cup into my hand. And I bit my tounge and walked out of that place cuz I was gonna seriously go ape shit on the guy. Seriously hand people the product in there hand don't just throw it at them. And not even a apology or anything he seriously didn't give three f's. Never again. read more

Friendly service and though they serve ice cream, who really goes there to get it?! Usually Carvel is known for their ice cream cakes and for good reason. Not only was the cake delicious but the service was wonderful. I ended up waiting till last minute to purchase the cake and even though I went in 12 minutes before closing time, I was still greeted with a smile. I appreciated that and plan on coming back here if I ever need another ice cream cake. read more

The ice cream is hard to ruin but the service was just horrible. It was a teenage kid that just had the face of "I hate this job" he did not want to be helping anyone out. I get it. I didn't like working the food industry either but I smiled through it. Sure in the back of my mind I wanted to yell at someone or just walk out but I kept it going. You can't be that way because it just makes the customer feel that they are an inconvenience by coming in and getting some ice cream. A lot of this is spread throughout all the fast food industry. It's not so much of an impact on a big chain like McDonald's or Wendy's but when it's a place like carvels that only has one or two people it affects business. Maybe a reward system for the employees to make it a little funner to work. read more
