We left with a ripe Camembert cheese, salami, tea bread and crackers. I have to eat gluten-free but they had enough of a selection to make me happy. They also sell their own home grown veggies. There is a wide variety of options for food, including different sandwiches, soups, noodles, and hot and cold drinks. One issue here is that everything is wildly overpriced. It costs almost $7 per half sandwich, so almost $14 for a full sandwich that's made with regular sandwich bread. I'm sorry, but the quality does not match the prices. Don't get me wrong, they're tasty, but so were the sandwiches at the now closed village green deli. What makes these sandwiches deserving of such a hefty price tag? Additionally, the staff members are cold and often rude. Several other Bedford residents have commented to me on separate occasions that they felt like the employees act like they either don't have time for you or are doing you a favor by handing you the premade food you are paying for. That pretty much sums it up. I also heard recently that they got rid of the discount they had for first responders, "because too many people were using it." I did not confirm this with the BG team, myself, but isn't that what a discount is for? For a particular group to use it? Anyways -- bought 3 chicken curry sandwiches recently and paid $45 after tax.
