The car I acquired was advertised as having 2 key fobs. Only 1 was delivered to me. The car I traded in to Carvana had 2 key fobs. When it showed up for sale it was advertised as only having 1 key fob. So strange that key fobs are "mishandled" considering how expensive they are. Besides that, the car I acquired had a bad battery and the tires were significantly out of balance. I discovered the bad battery the 1st day I had the car at home and needed to jump start it. Took it to my local Chevy dealer who diagnosed a bad battery. Carvana needs to improve their inspections/reviews of the cars they sell. They could also do a much better job prepping the cars for delivery. The prep job on mine was not professional at all. read more

If I need better understanding, I just request for someone to give me a call, and they would call and walk me through the process. At pick up it was very easy sign my name on the line and drove off in my new car in about 45 mins if that. Took car to Buick to have it looked over. They said you got a SOLID car. This was more burdensome, with clearly unnecessary steps along the way. But now that I am paying off the loan, they have passed me off the Bridgecrest Finance, who has a 1.2 customer rating with BBB and a 1 07 rating with Trustpilot, with hundreds of recent, unaddressed customer complaints. Not knowing your business model was "buy by phone only" I was totally turned off by the employee at the store. Absolutely unhelpful. After my wife calmed me down, we began the process. I only persevered because Carvana had a good inventory of the specific car I was looking for. Shortly after the car arrived to the house. The delivery driver was the exact opposite of the employee I initially met. Happy, energized, friendly, and totally professional. She unloaded the new car,inspected the trade in, loaded the trade, completed all the paperwork and was on the way! Since I was able to get the car I really wanted I was satisfied but the delivery was so pleasant she erased my initial unhelpful contact. They don't inspect cars as they say they do. I found the ORIGINAL air filter in a car bought with 51,000 miles. Found out later from my mechanic that the car had been in a major accident that was undisclosed. I understand that Carfax is spotty, but a simple inspection would have showed this. The clearly don't put in the attention that they claim. Either buy elsewhere or have your mechanic thoroughly check it out. In short, don't give them any more trust than you would a questionable used car dealer. read more

Carvana has an online process for selling your vehicle that is fast and very easy to use. Once they quoted me a price. I set up an appointment to deliver my car to them. During that process I photocopied some pertinent information (title, odometer reading, etc.) After that I was ready to go. My vehicle was over 20 years old but had low mileage and was very-well-cared for. (I was the original owner). So, I was very happy that Carvana gave me a much better price than their competitors. You can give them a VIN for your trade-in and get an instant value and choose what you want to do. You can set up your exact finance details online in 5 minutes. You can send the bill of sale directly to your local credit union where you are already approved and have financing settled in a day exactly the way you want. My vehicle showed up as promised and they took my trade in as promised and I controlled the whole process from beginning to end from my home and never had to haggle with anyone. One of the easiest and best car buying experiences I've ever had. I got to look at cars all week from my phone online versus going into a dealership. There was nobody trying to pressure you into buying a car and they don't call you over and over again like a dealership does! The prices were great and ordering the car online was super easy and quick! The car had a couple minor imperfections listed online but when I got the car I couldn't see anything wrong at all! I made my appointment to pick it up in Raleigh (I live down the street). The office is super nice and cozy! Tons of places to sit and very clean! I was helped immediately- signed a few papers and they made copies for me. We went out to look at the car and he asked me if I had any questions while I looked over it. Car was detailed and very clean and smelled wonderful! The gas tank was half full (they tell you this in the paperwork you sign online when buying the car) so I'm not sure why people are acting surprised (they obviously didn't read the contracts they were signing). Took the car within my 7 days to get a pre purchase inspection and everything checked out! Everyone said I got a great deal (2016 honda crv with ONLY 50k miles!) Car runs smoothe, works great and I love the keyless entry and push to start! This car is better than my last CRV! I am super happy. The car was shockingly delivered to me without the NC inspection on Friday 5pm which was three hours after my preferred time! They said they can bring the car again on Monday with inspection which I didn't agree since I needed the car on weekend. So I had to go to their Raleigh facility to complete the inspection next Monday. 1- The car's trunk was full of water on a rainy Friday! The driver's taillight was loose and water went down through a gap to the bottom of trunk during the rain fall. I went through a lot of struggle to clean it. 2- The car interior was so dirty and smelly! they said they will send a $100 check for detailing which is not enough for full detailing!!! So, Carvana lies about a complete car cleaning before delivery!!! 3- Passengers' door speaker wasn't working 4- Passengers' power lock wasn't working 5- Center dash driver side was broken and some black stuff came out when the AC was turn on! 6- There was a sound from engine when I accelerated the car. My mechanic showed me a worn out drive belt that needs to be replaced immediately! (this is different from belt chain in the engine)! I spent the whole week to fix those problems with their preferred facilities and Mazda dealership. I almost didn't have a car for four days to take care of those problems which were not supposed to exist!! All mechanical cost was covered under warranty without and deductible. Long story short, the 150 points inspection is a huge joke and lie. The inside team refused for any reimbursement because of the all hassle and struggle that I have been through. I spent a lot of money on UBER and my time at work to take care of those issues. That's not acceptable and so unfair. The inside team said I can return the car and they will waive the shipping cost but that wasn't what I wanted. I chose Carvana because of its car selection. I could find a model and color that is super rare in the market. I ordered a lot of parts to boost the interior and exterior of my Mazda 3 and many of them were none refundable!!! So basically I had to keep the car. The person who delivered the car was very kind and supportive to me but that didn't solve my concerns unfortunately. So disappointed! read more

Sold my 2010 Toyota Corolla to Carvana this past week. I was suspicious of the process being as simple and as easy as they claim it to be, but in the case of selling my car to them, they checked every box: - Higher offer than I expected, based on the information I provided (car needs a little work but is still driveable) - I requested that the car be picked up (vs bringing it myself). The fee was $90, taken from the offer, so no need to make any payments myself. - Once I accepted the offer online and submitted my documents, the review process was quick (I had a reply within an hour) - Appointment scheduling was easy. I scheduled for an 8 am - 11 am pick up window; the morning of, I got an email update saying they would arrive at 9 a.m. Around 8:45 a.m., I got a call from the Carvana associate letting me know he'd be arriving in approximately 15 minutes. - Once he arrived, I handed him the keys and the title, and he confirmed my identity with my license. He started the car, tested the windows, and then plugged a reader into the fuse box. - While waiting for the readings, we made small talk; he was super nice and engaging! - Once the reading was confirmed, he handed me the check. He let me know that I should be able to mobile deposit immediately, but if there were any issues, to reach out to Carvana directly. - He then let me know he'd be locking the keys, tagging the car, and that the tow truck would arrive at some point during the day, but that I didn't need to be present or anything. All in all, submitting my information probably took about 3 minutes online, and the in person conversation took about 5 minutes. Had zero issues with the mobile deposit, and as he said, I didn't even know that the tow truck had come and gone. Would absolutely consider selling a vehicle to Carvana in the future! read more

Boo. Where do I even start.... Needed a car relatively quickly, and I had absolutely no time to go test drive vehicles. My financing company gave me a 0.5 % discount to use their car buying service, and Carvana was one of their preferred vendors, so why not. They said that I could pick it up from car elevator, or have it delivered. Pretty convenient. I looked for about 5 days, and found the truck I wanted, a pretty low mileage 2018 4-door dark gray Tacoma. I secured financing, and set delivery for a Monday. The rental car I secured would hold me out till then. A few days later, however, it would all hit the fan. I was out of town and got an email which literally said there was a "cosmetic defect" that they had to fix, and they needed to reschedule, and for me to call them. So, get ready for long waits, for a number of reasons, hold time, new person you talk to every time has to review your order, different managers... inability to handle disgruntled customers, incessant apologies that they can't fix. Well, they finally figured a way to fix my situation. The cosmetic defect was a number they wrecked somewhere in transport, and they could get the car to me within 3 weeks. They offered me 250 discount, to offset 3 week rental and inconvenience. Max they will do FYI. They also offered to help me look for another car, which meant they would help me look through website, like I didn't find the first car. Not to bore you too much longer, I'll bullet the next few haps -found new car, similar more miles, though not my love of colors -they convinced me to do car elevator -decided to bring whole family to watch -found a better time earlier in day to pickup, but chat and call to Carvana said they were booked -rearranged kids schedules to get rental dropped off and get to place at 445pm (Raleigh) -got a call from Carvana that they had plenty of openings earlier (wait for it), but there was missing mat in the car, with options for replacing -too late to re-rearrange my schedule so took whole family to go watch elevator in rush hour (45 minutes) -got to Carvana and car was not in elevator-told simply that it wouldn't fit (rude and no apology) -told that my mat options were that they could buy it (6-8 weeks), or I could buy it and submit receipt Was in a pretty bad mood by then... signed forms, told them I would buy the mat, took the car and left. Kids like the car...and I have 7 days to test drive. Out of town for the next 5. Probably take that long to get the taste out of my mouth. Hope I like it.
