Hi from California! We made the trip all the way to Detroit to take ownership of our beautiful…read moreXC90, the deal was simply too good to pass up on! Once we got serious about moving forward, we connected with our sales representative, Mathew. From start to finish, he truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and that everything went smoothly. Shortly after, we were introduced to Carl, the sales manager, who helped secure the deal. He made sure we fully understood every detail and walked us through the numbers thoroughly, so thoroughly that I had to stop him a couple of times, haha. But hey, that's his job! There was a bit of miscommunication toward the end regarding the final pricing, but it didn't deter us at all. Whether it was a simple mistake or an upsell attempt, we understood it's business, and that's how dealerships operate. For anyone looking to get a great deal, just make sure you do your research and know exactly what you want and what you're willing to spend. That said, Carl addressed our concerns quickly and resolved everything right away, which only reinforced that we were working with the right team. Next, we worked with Raven, who handled all of our paperwork. While there was a little initial pushback, we were very appreciative that everything was completed digitally. Since we needed to drive the car back to California within two days for work, this was incredibly important to us. Raven really came through, she even came in on her day off to make sure everything was finalized just as promised. She absolutely crushed it. After everything was completed, we flew out to Detroit and finally met the entire team in person. Honestly, they were some of the most genuine people we've ever met. We never felt the kind of pressure you typically get at dealerships, at least compared to our experiences in California. There ended up being a delay due to an issue with the car, but we honestly weren't bothered by it. The reason was simple both Carl and Mathew were completely transparent and even owned up to their own mistakes without us even asking why. That level of honesty made them feel human and relatable, which mattered more to us than the delay itself. Things happen, and we appreciated how upfront they were about everything. Overall, this was a great experience. The team at Suburban Volvo truly delivered, not just on the car, but on the entire experience of coming out to Detroit! Thank you Matthew, Carl & Raven for everything!

So I had to dig up evidence that this was indeed sold to us as CPO -- they claim they'll fix it, but now I have to make a whole separate appointment for it because of their own mistake. Then, they tried to charge me over $600 for a 12V battery replacement, when it is a $300 part. Seriously, $300 labor for what is essentially 20-30 minutes of work?! Then I showed up and they hadn't even washed my car after I spent ONE THOUSAND dollars in service. What a joke of an experience for a "luxury" dealership. Couldn't be more disapponted.

Warning on Service Department Pricing Transparency…read more I typically handle my own vehicle maintenance and repairs, but I chose to bring my car to Dean Sellers Ford because they were the only local dealership I trusted and I had reward points from my last vehicle purchase. Unfortunately, my visit today was highly disappointing due to an unacceptable breakdown in pricing integrity. The Written Agreement: I was quoted $140 for a full synthetic Works package. Before authorizing the work, I texted my advisor, Toby, a math breakdown expecting a $90-$100 range after my S-Plan discount. He texted back "Ok!" to confirm. The Final Bill: Despite our written exchange, my final invoice unexpectedly ballooned to $217.94 ($51 labor and $149 parts). The Justification: When I questioned the increase, it was blamed on a comment I made earlier about not holding them accountable for minor estimate variations (like shop supplies and taxes). Applying that disclaimer to a massive, unauthorized price hike on a standard oil change is completely wrong. The Response: A token $12 credit was offered to settle the issue, but I declined it because the math still did not match our written agreement. Toby acknowledged his fault and then entirely retracted the gesture via text. I paid the balance under protest just to get my vehicle back and have escalated this to Ford Customer Relations. Please protect yourself: get a binding, final estimate in writing before handing over your keys to this service department or better to avoid them altogether. See photos for texts and final receipt.

I've never had such a hard time getting a car in the past. In the end, we got it done and my husband got the car he wanted. Personally, I did NOT like at all how my husband was spoken to on the phone. It was very very disrespectful but we wanted the car so we just took the rude communication. We were scrambling to make this work but being rude doesn't help ever. Sometimes when my husband asked a question and the immediate response was one thing (such as an abrupt "no way."). When he asked a clarifying question and they double checked, they would realize they were wrong and then give the correct info. When we were in person, everyone was fairly friendly. The boss did occasionally speak to us on the phone and he was very respectful and good. The main dealership was clean and the signing of documents was smooth. The person who helped with the paperwork was nice (which was appreciated because I was very upset about the events leading up to this). I feel like communication should have been much better. We did end up getting the car and my husband really likes it. We learned from this experience and hope they did too.

Upon the recommendation of my boss who had just had her car there the day before, I spoke to Eugene & took my car over. The very first thing that I was impressed with was his immediate attention. He looked at the car and then offered his condolences -- along with assurances that he could repair it & would work with the insurance company. He apologized that someone else had his loaner car, but he immediately took me to get a rental car. (I had not asked him to do this.) The first place didn't have anything appropriate available, so he took me to another place. He also asked questions that I hadn't thought of, and he waited while I called the insurance company to make sure that they would reimburse me. The repair itself took a lot longer than I'd anticipated; I would assume it was because of all the parts that were needed. It also took the insurance company several days to go out and assess the damage. In the end, though, they did a wonderful job. My car looks brand new, just as it did when I first bought it. I believe they also cleaned the inside, as it looked shiny clean. My only real complaint is that I wasn't really kept informed during the process, but Eugene did respond immediately when I texted him.
