I called CS they told me that I would need to take the car to a repair shop and have the car diagnosed and it could talk 24 to 48 hours to Inspect your vehicle before repair. One of the POS dealers had a big banner on his building saying, "We buy cars and give you the highest price." He was less than HALF the offer Carvana gave us. Of the four bids, Carvana was the highest, in some qutes by more than double. We honestly filled out the online questionnaire, and they didn't ding us when we went in there with made-up issues, unlike what one of the other car dealers did to us. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Carvana and feel completely let down by the quality of vehicles provided and the stress this process has caused. I traded in my vehicle and purchased a 2025 Volkswagen Taos from Carvana. Just two days after receiving it, the check engine light came on. Rather than enjoying my new vehicle, I was immediately dealing with mechanical concerns and uncertainty about the reliability of a car I had just purchased. Carvana allowed me to exchange the vehicle, but unfortunately the replacement experience was just as concerning. I accepted a 2023 Volkswagen Taos, and on the drive home the tire pressure warning light came on and I received a warning message stating that the engine oil level was too high. After already experiencing issues with the first vehicle, finding problems with the replacement almost immediately destroyed any confidence I had in Carvana's inspection process. Most recently, we scheduled a pickup for a 2024 Mazda CX-50. The pickup was delayed by Carvana because of what we were told was a brake issue that needed to be addressed before delivery. We appreciated that the issue was identified, but when we finally arrived to inspect the vehicle, it was clear that the problems had not been adequately resolved. The vehicle had noticeable dents and scratches that were not accurately represented, and the brakes were still squeaking and making excessive noise. After waiting through a delay specifically related to brake concerns, it was incredibly frustrating to find that the vehicle still appeared to have unresolved issues. At this point, we have experienced problems with three separate vehicles in a row. As customers, we trusted Carvana's claims that vehicles undergo thorough inspections and are delivered in reliable condition. Instead, we have repeatedly encountered mechanical concerns, warning lights, cosmetic damage, delays, and poor quality control. Purchasing a vehicle should be an exciting experience, but this process has been exhausting, stressful, and disappointing. We have spent countless hours dealing with vehicle issues, exchanges, inspections, and uncertainty, all while trying to find a reliable vehicle that meets the standards promised by Carvana. Given the repeated problems we have experienced, we believe Carvana has failed to provide vehicles that meet reasonable expectations for quality and reliability. We are requesting a meaningful resolution, which may include returning our original trade-in, providing compensation or shipping credits toward a different vehicle, reimbursing fees incurred as a result of these issues, or another fair solution that reflects the significant inconvenience and frustration we have endured. No customer should have to go through multiple vehicle exchanges, delivery delays, unresolved mechanical issues, and cosmetic damage concerns while trying to purchase a vehicle. We expected much better from a company that promotes convenience, transparency, and quality, and we hope Carvana takes this complaint seriously and works toward an appropriate resolution. I actually have not a whole lot bad to say about oakbrook carvana (as New York carvana dropped the ball). I got a 24' Tesla shipped from New York. When getting in the car there were crayon marks and permanent marker on the interior ceiling that wasn't disclosed. I first accepted the car as they said they would give me $ for a detail. And then driving off the lot, the Tesla was still using former owner on the screen so I was locked out of certain settings. I immediately returned with 1 minute. After a couple hours on the phone with Tesla tech and carvana support, I finally was able to get them to refund my money and my shipping fees and rejected the car and got my old car back. The staff at oakbrook worked with me the entire time. I will probably never use carvana again but I will say it was very easy to use and fast and convenient as far as the purchase goes. But now I wait for my money (they said could be 15 days) to return to my checking account. read more

I purchased a 2020 dodge caravan with low mileage. The vehicle was exactly how it was advertised with minor cosmetic scrapes. However when I got the vehicle the windshield had a crack. I reported it day 2 of my 7 day exchange policy. However that was denied and that's why I'm only giving this review 4 stars. What's seems like nothing to them, would cause a problem for me, if it spread in the winter time. I wasn't asking for a new windshield. However I just wanted it noted incase. The day I took my car to Carvana, my wife came with me, driving a second car so we could get back home. So when we arrived, since it was a little before my appointment, I asked the only employee who was there if I could leave the car while my wife and I went to get something to eat, since the trip had been long and we were hungry. There were only two cars in the parking lot, and the employee "Chinese with glasses" , with a very bad attitude, told me that I couldn't leave the car there because it would be towed away. I told him that I had an appointment to sell my car, but it was more than an hour away, and that I was just going to get something to eat and would be right back. Even so, the employee, with a condescending attitude, told me that he wouldn't be responsible if my car was towed. Definitely very bad attitude from the employees at that Carvana location. Vehicle was in an accident. Also Carvana boasts their vehicles have gone through a 150 point inspection, yet the back break pads are almost non existent. The front control arms are bad and making noise. It needs an alignment bad (it pulls pretty bad when driving on the highway), and Honda dealership noticed a slight whine from the transmission. Also the car was absolutely filthy. I didn't notice cause we picked it up at night, but I found French fries under one of the seats, and sticky stuff all over the back. They did not clean the car at all! We are taking it back and will never use carvana again and will made sure to steer everyone we can away from ever thinking about using them. My fault for thinking carvana was a good idea. Never again. read more

Verified by another mechanic I went to file warranty claim with their 100 day warranty provider. They just say "leaks not so bad, we're not covering it. Carvana says "I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience with SilverRock. While Carvana stands behind SilverRock's determinations as the experts in warranty claims, I understand how frustrating this situation must be for you. Your feedback is important, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out." Carvana is STILL HORRIBLE with titles and other issues. They use Bridgecrest for their loans, who depending on who you talk to, will give you different information. The first person I spoke to said after loan payment, the title would be held between 10-20 and then sent to the DMV and then sent to me. I paid the loan in full on February 24th and they still have not sent the title and it's April 18th. I just got off the phone with them and they said it should go out in another 7-10 business days. That's WAY over the 20 days at most they originally said. Once they send it (if they send it) to the DMV, then I have to probably wait weeks or months longer for a loan I paid off immediately. Honestly, I don't know why I got the loan from them, they have ridiculous interest rates. I was almost at 10% and my credit is in the 800s. That's why I just paid it off immediately. We're talking over $50k and they can't even get me the title that I basically paid cash for. They simply don't care. At all. As long as they get their money. If you are planning on buying a car through Carvana, you'd be making a huge mistake. Read the news articles about how bad they are. At almost 10% interest, I would have been paying roughly $17k+ in interest. With excellent credit. Also, while they take pics of a few of the small nicks on the car, they are NOT showing you everything. My car has a huge dent in the driver's side door and other flaws. They supposedly will only take care of TWO of the issues but you have to get approval from them; which you may or may not get. If you want to pay for a car that won't belong to you after you're done paying, Carvana is perfect for you. I would completely avoid them. One way or another, you're going to have a bad experience. Any other car dealer I bought from, I'd have title in hand. Now I don't know if/when I'll get the title. Also, remember this, Carvana uses a financing company, so when things go wrong, they just tell you to talk to them. "It's out of our hands" is basically their response. This is coming from a dealer you bought the car from. Very sad. Horrible business. I hate writing reviews like this but people need to be warned before they see a car they like and then get trapped into something bad. If I remember correctly, Carvana was about to be banned from selling in Illinois. I believe there's articles on it. How bad of a business model do you have to have to have that happen? Car was actively drilled into at delivery My Carvana shopping and purchasing experience was really fluid and streamlined, but upon delivery, my delivery driver Cory accidentally sheared the head off one of the rear license plate mounting screws. Rather than removing the screw, he actively drilled a new hole into the body of the vehicle below the plate, leaving a sheared-off screw stuck in the vehicle, a hole punctured into our new car, and a rear license plate bracket that only hangs securely crooked. So far, Carvana has only directed me to their insurer, and it's been my responsibility to bring the car to an in-network auto body shop--and at first their insurer resisted covering the entire amount their own in-network shop estimated. Additionally, rental is only covered via reimbursement. Carvana, any possible amount of compensation for this deeply frustrating delivery experience would be really valued. Thank you. read more

I work close to my home so I didn't get on the highway till the weekend the shaking of the steering wheel and brakes makes me feel like one day the whole car will breakdown in to piece. I have been a huge supporter of Carvana. I've actually bought and sold a few cars with them. This last experience, however, has been a disaster in every way possible. My most recent trade-in and purchase has not gone well. I decided within a day to return the car I bought from Carvana trading in my previous vehicle to them at the same time. I scheduled a pick-up day. I say day because they said you need to be home from 8a.m. to 8p.m. because we don't give time windows for returns. Sounds fishy, it is. So, I wait until 6p.m. on the day until I call Carvana and am told "they couldn't make it they rescheduled for tomorrow." I told them I am going out of town so they rescheduled for the next week. This time i demanded a time. The guy shows up to pick up the car, but he does not have the check for $23,600 for my car that I was assured he would have for me. Then they say they want to 'mail" me a check. They auto-deducted payment from my bank account when I bought the new car, why can't they just put the money back into my account. NOT OUR POLICY they say!! After an hour on the phone I get a supervisor who promises me that they are overnighting a check for $23,600 so i can buy the car that i have on hold from another company. I check my FEDEX tracker, and it shows they created a label, but no one has brought the check to FEDEX as of 10:41pm. So, it's unlikely to get overnighted leaving me with no money and no way to pay for the new car. Because of Carvana dropping the ball several times on this transaction I am currently out $23,600 and have no car either. This is the example of a company that claims to care about it's customers, but clearly it does not. To say I am disappointed and furious at Carvana is an understatement. BEWARE! read more
