We have been having water issues in our back and side yards. Our backyard has a pretty decent slope to it and the water would pool between our patio and playground. Connor came out and did a through inspection of the property and advised installing a catch basin in the back yard that would dump out into the street as well as a French drain to handle the soggy side yard. When we informed Connor that we'd be using him he told me he'd rethought some things about the project. Just the idea that he'd put additional thought into our situation before we'd signed a contract made me feel like he really cared about helping us. Throughout the project we kept remarking about how efficient and thorough his work was. Every day he cleaned up after himself and made sure any digging was filled back in. I've never hired someone who has worked as hard as Connor. I cannot say enough how grateful we were for his meticulousness and professionalism. A few days after all the pipes had been laid down we had a decent bout of rain in the morning. Usually this would mean a small pond in our backyard and our side yard would be marshland for days. This summer I saw that my 16 X 26 wooden deck was in sore need of help. The deck is 20 years old…read moreand the weather had taken its toll. I got 9 estimates to do a redeck. Essentially using the existing foundation and updating the floor, steps, and railings. Virtually all the contractors tried to sell me a build that was out of my budget and not exactly what I was looking for. I reached out to Steve and his consultation was exactly what I was looking for. He listened to my concerns. He made suggestions that would increase the width of my steps. He suggested that we go with PVC railings with metal balusters. He said we could use trex to cover the visible sides of the deck floor to get a uniform look. Finally, he recommended that we finish the bottom of the deck using white lattice. He also recommended that we frame the floor boards and stain the frame a different color than the floor boards to make it really eye catching. Finally, the price for the job was within my budget. Steve communicated what work was going to be done each day. His team was on time for work and on most days they were early. They cleaned up the site at the end of each work day. My wife and I are very happy with our redeck. Steve used a light color to stain the main floor boards and a darker color for the perimeter frame. I recommend Steve and his team for all of your maintenance and construction needs. He is honest, trustworthy, and has an attention to detail. His work ethic is outstanding! We really enjoyed seeing that Steve posted pictures and a video of our completed deck on his site.
