At first, we thought it was a transmission issue because the car would not accelerate at all and was making a very loud grinding noise. This location does not do transmission work, but they kindly offered to confirm what sort of repair I might need. This, by itself, was a huge help, since every transmission repair shop in town was weeks behind in their work. Luckily, it ended up not being a transmission issue, but a broken axel that was spinning and scraping against the wheel without actually rotating it. Once we knew what the problem was, the staff offered to get my wife and I back on the road within a day, which was incredibly kind, since we were in the middle of a long road trip and did not have time to spare. Drew was not certified to work on hybrids, and doing so was very dangerous, but rather than turning down the job, he spent a great deal of time researching how to disconnect my car's battery, so he could repair it safely. While Drew was working on my car, Phil and Bri were very kind, friendly, and responsive, and kept me informed as to the car's progress and recommended places for me to get something to eat. Bri always answered the phone quickly and cheerfully when I called to ask about the progress. After the car was fixed and we were back on the road, Phil followed-up several times with us to make sure everything was okay and that we made it to our end destination safely, several days later. This was by far the most satisfying experience I have ever had with a car repair shop and its staff, and I highly recommend that anyone experiencing car trouble in Mississippi consider coming to this location.

I appreciated his honesty as I was at a dealership on the coast and did not have this experience when I had to wait 5 hours for service. However, I give it a few more days because April advised that the system from which they order parts had been hacked!! On day three, following the hack, I called to check status, and April stated "oh, I intended to call you yesterday, because you are going to need a drier, which is an additional $1,400.00." She went on to say, "because the drier would be exposed to the sun for a period of time, it has to be replaced or it will void your warranty on the evap core/blend door." Of course, that was lie according to Herring Gear!!!! To top it off, when I went to pick up my car, April "tried" to charge me $294, after telling me the diagnostics fee was $150. I asked to speak with a manager, and then the price dropped to $187. I will never recommend them for any big job, because it seems as if they are not equipped, unless, of course, they just didn't want to do the job!!! They may need to consider hiring a more professional secretary! I don't trust April.
