It is located in the downtown Carthage, MO area along Route 66. It is a small specialty dog shop. I have a big dog and so I was hoping as the name implied, it had items for big dogs. However, that was not true sadly. They do have many toys and treats for dogs of all sizes. The owner is super nice and was very welcoming to my dog and I. I bought a few items for my dog, including dog beer! It was nice that there was a pet friendly dog shop in downtown where I could take my dog and treat him a bit. Store is super clean and organized also!

Their 'excuse' started with: "We don't have a public bathroom" I pressed that I was about to have an accident and needed a restroom, and that I was a paying customer, not 'the public'. Their response? "Our bathrooms are not ADA compliant". As IF I needed ADA compliance, I certainly was not in a wheelchair or other needs for access. In fact, I was looking right at their bathroom as this conversation transpired. If you aren't going to allow bathroom use to your customer, I won't spend my money there. It's just this thing called customer service Went thru this in Tucson, with all the drug addicts and homeless. Tucson started securing bathrooms. Kind of ridiculous here if you ask me. Guess I will spend MY hard earned cash elsewhere. Goodbye, Champion . You seem more like a LOSER to me. C'est la vie.

We had the opportunity to visit Becky's Aquarium Works when we were in Joplin visiting a friend. I recently got into keeping saltwater fish and thought we would stop by since we were in the area. It's a small shop, but it has so much! Becky answered all my questions and taught me about many different facets of saltwater aquariums, based off my own experience and knowledge, and helped me identify what my next steps are based on where my aquarium is currently. I took home a beautiful Royal Gramma, some filter media, and some frozen brine shrimp. I rearranged my rocks while I acclimated the new fish and now all the fish are loving the new setup and food. The prices there are competitive, but you can't beat the personalized help and knowledge! I will definitely be back!

As always, I would recommend looking online or at your local shelters for dogs that need a good home!

He he was roaming around and going over by the good dog store so I thought maybe it was the owner's dog me and this other woman stepped inside and the dog barged in like he knew the place so we simply asked this man if this was his dog, and he instantly flipped out on us and told us to leave and to get the dog out of his store!!! we went back outside. The dog started to roam around again. The owner of the store came outside and starting cussing us out, and yelling at us...so from there I called the police and told them the situation about the stray dog and the disrespectful owner... the owner of the store told me that he has known about this stray dog roaming around Stone's corner and hasn't called anyone!! he could've simply closed his store for 35 mins and taken this poor dog to the humane society the very first day he saw him. very sad, the weather outside today is rainy, and overcast this dog was completely soaked. He was in a dangerous area where he could be hit at any moment. thats why this was so serious! it blows my mind how you can be the owner of a pet store and have absolutely zero compassion for animals. This dog needed help and it was obvious this man did not care.
