The people who work here are extremely welcoming and pleasant. They actually greet you as you walk into the store which is nice.

Unbelievably bad experience…read more Went to Magic Moments to get measured for a bridesmaid dress. You walk in and it's like a time warp - back to the 90s with with bags of tacky dresses. It's so crowded that it's almost difficult to walk through, but i mean, fine... its a dress store, no big deal. The dresses weren't in stock so we pretty much went to get measured for the gown. I get measured by a salesperson who is seriously slow. First she's confused there are two Amanda's in the bridal party and actually crosses out the other Amanda's name when taking my measurements. I had to tell her I'm Amanda P and that was Amanda R. P and R, terribly confusing I know. In life, I am a size 2/4. I get measured and the measurements (bust, waist, hip) are 2, 12, 8, making me the candidate for a size 10. I ask them to measure me again - I get that these dresses run big but a 10 is pretty ridiculous. Especially the fact that my hips are larger than my waist, which is not the case in real life. After asking multiple times, I finally get remeasured and they're adamant that I'm a 10. So, I am stuck paying and hoping I'm a 10. It's time to get our payments processed. Six girls and it took over an hour to do that. They wrote everything by hand, making mistakes with their painfully slow writing. I finally had to ask to write it myself because their method of asking, repeating, writing incorrectly and having me correct it was just insane. Fast forward a few months later and I was right. All of the bridesmaid dresses are HUGE. I can fit another person in my 10. I just called and the woman at the store could find no record of any name - not the bride or any of the bridesmaids. It's not shocking that they lost a yellow slip receipt floating around in their overpacked store but it's disappointing that I can't find a single redeeming aspect of this place. Bottom line: Skip this store - there are plenty other dress stores in Long Island with an actual concept of size, fit, reality and customer service. They probably even have electronic payment methods too.

I did not have a very good experience. Overly crowded...I mean WAY overly crowded, dresses packed…read moreeverywhere to the point that you couldn't possibly get a very good look at any of the dresses. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are beautiful dresses hidden somewhere in there, just wouldn't ever be able to see them.

I rate the East Setauket Kohl's 3.5 stars…read more Arriving from Las Vegas, I was visiting my Dad for a week. With the Long Island Indian Summer, dropping down to the cool northeast weather, I could use a new jacket that would be sufficient for the Long Island Fall weather and the Las Vegas winter. So driving from Mount Sania to the Lake Ronkonkoma area, we stopped by Kohl's. Walking into Kohl's I was mentally wearing my nostalgia jacket. The Kohl's building brought back the decades of memories of patronizing Brent City in the 1980s, then Cheap John's and Caldor's in the 1990s. Inside the present Kohl's, my mental focus was in October 15, 2026 deciding on the right jacket. A few feet to the left of the west entrance, I browsed through the satisfactory selection of jackets. There were moments where it was considered using Amazon. Then a Zeroxposur jacket caught my eyes. When I tried it on, it felt just right. In the process of looking for the jacket, there was a detour to the restroom which is in the back right of Kohl's. This is worth mentioning because the walk exposed my eyes to a large amount of the store. I noticed a Sephora in the front center, ironically an Amazon return center in the back right, several square feet of apparel, home goods, and general merchandise. Kohl's was on the ball in running a well kept department store. Unlike Ross, for example, clothes were nearly organized and the setting was polished. On the other hand, Kohl's was behind the ball in the check-out line process. The way the East Setauket Kohl's checkout process works is that customers funnel through a cue aligned with impulse merchandise to the registers. When we were on line there was minimal movement. This prompted trying out the self checkout terminals. They were ineffective. Back to the line. Now the line started to move. Christina processed our transaction. This leads into the pricing. The jacket was a solid value. However, Christina encouraged signing up for the Kohl's card to save additional money. This brought the Zeroxposur jacket price significantly down, making it a good deal. My latest memory of a building that dates back to visiting Brent City as an elementary school student in the early 1980s is a satisfactory experience in its latest incarnation Kohl's. It is a 3.5 star rated experience..

Absolutely terrible. There is always a long line that barely moves. They invested in new registers,…read morebut the store is still understaffed. Shopping takes 5 minutes, but getting out the door takes 20
