Like Steve Jobs in his patented black turtleneck and blue jeans, you could find me in some black Zara pants and a BR Luxe Touch T. However, in a senseless act of cruelty and what has since become a top 5 world mystery, BR changed the blend of their Luxe Touch T's... Well it's not a mystery those things would shrink like a mf but just buy a size up and it was good money!! I could have summed all that up in one simple sentence like "With my birthday behind me, I had a few returns to make y'all know how that goes ahahaha" but whatever. I strongly dislike the feel of the new Lux Touch Ts so I came in here yesterday to make some returns and see what I could come up on. I entered and thought I had just walked into a Restoration hardware. I had no idea BR Home was a thing, but this store is beautiful. Fairplay to them. After I returned my faux Luxe Touches, I forged on through the furniture section that my $123 gift card wouldn't make a dent in and made it to the mens section upstairs. After reminiscing on the past glory of my Luxe Touch Ts and scanning the sale rack for any remnants of them, I stumbled upon the most beautiful lightweight pin striped suit jacket I have ever seen. It's one of those ones that you see in Italy or in a custom tailor store in Tribeca that cost over a rack. One of those ones you say "When I make it I'mma get that..." I was determined not to spend over my $123, but this jacket clocked in at $350. As I was licking my wounds and picturing myself looking BEAST in the jacket, a BR employee, Alejandro, came down like an Angel from the heavens to try and help get the price down as much as possible. He could see in my eyes how much I wanted it. If I signed up for the rewards it would be 20% off and with the promotion they're running it was another 25% off yadda yadda yadda. But MAN did that price come down. I still came out of pocket like $70 more than I said I would but y'all know how that goes ahahha. He also helped me pick the sizing, and seemed genuinely happy to be helping me only 30 minutes from close which I know is annoying as all hell. Shoutout to Alejandro man. It's experiences like this that made me start writing these reviews in the first place. I had no intention of reviewing a Banana Republic store yesterday, but Alejandro forced my hand. Ia am also overweight right now and not feeling myself, not sure if that was a factor. The sales associates hardly acknowledged us except to look us up and down in what felt to me (and my friend) as a "judgy" way. We were not offered help with anything or even greeted when we came in the store. My friend felt I shouldn't say anything to the company as it wasn't "overt," but if we both felt it, it was real and not great customer service.

Although it is a bit hidden I feel like it's my hidden gem. About 80% of my daughters wardrobe is Carter's and I got it from here. They always have the cutest outfits and great prices. Coupons are endless as well as promotions and it really makes you feel like you're getting a bang for your buck. This location is my favorite because I feel like it's always clean. It's well lit and the racks aren't overcrowded to the point where you feel overwhelmed and don't want to shop. The employees I encounter every trip is always more than helpful and nice. I've never had a bad experience here. Don't forget your coupons. Even if you do then Google it at the register. Make sure you always browse through the clearance rack! What caught my eye was the wide legged flare jeans that came in 3 colors that fit my hips and legs well. Clothing here is always superb quality that you can wear for many years without tearing them. I especially love the jewelry they carry! They are very heavy and thick quality so you know they are worth the price. They got nice stylish hoops and stones that you can layer with your everyday wear. They have jewelry pouch bags for your jewelry when you buy them without charging you. Glasses and accessories are very sturdy and heavy. They got a rewards system where you can get a birthday reward and a half birthday reward once a year besides your birthday. Manager Anya assisted as the jeans I wanted were not in store. They went the extra mile and ordered online for me. I can't wait for my delivery! Even though it was their store opening part - they really took the time to make sure everyone had an exceptional shopping experience. There was music, cocktails, and tasty small bites passed around. B. Kasper was on hand with his artistic skills personalizing all leather purchases. He truly made my night by adding my logo to my purchase. It was an amazing evening - Madewell certainly knows how to through a party & create a wonderful shopping experience. Go to Madewell for their denim. It's a magical feeling against your skin.
